We will adjust status from B1 Visa because we got married in NYC.

Sending to Chicago lockbox I130 & I485.... can someone please tell me aproximately how long should it take if we receive no RFE and everything goes well?

USCIS website says 5 months for I-130 but over 7 months for the I-485.

We are adjusting status from a B1 visa because we got married.

Filling in Vermont from NYC.

When should we expect to receive the green card?

I checked the USCIS website and it says 5 months for the I-131 but for the I-485 they are now processing August 2014 (7 months) - We will have to send both forms.

How long will it take? I am confused about the time frame!

Hi,

A friend of mine married his girlfriend while on a B1 Visa (valid until 2023).

They are adjusting status and received action of notice and work permit.

He will need to leave the country for 3 weeks before the interview/green card arrives.

Can he safely leave with the Advance Parole document I-131 or not? Will he be allowed back in the US since he is adjusting from B1 and didn't chose the K1 or K3 process?

It's completely normal! The SS offices will receive records of your naturalization 20 days after the Oath. The officer at the ceremony suggested us to wait at least 3 weeks before visiting SS! Try again! Good luck!

Please update! Interview passed on February 21st and waited in the office for the letter. Oath on March 12th! I will post my experience in Long Island!

Hi, I will have my interview next week based on 3 years marriage, I am panicking as usual and I hope you can help me.

My husband won't be able to come with me and I have a few questions if you can help!

I am bringing to the interview exact copy of N400 application + supporting documents sent plus:

• my original birth certificate
• Two extra passport pictures (just in case they lost them)
• original tax transcripts
• original marriage certificate
• copy of my husband ID and Certificate of Naturalization , should I bring originals? Can't "steal" husband ID for the day though!

Am I missing anything?

I have my citizenship interview on February 21st and I have a business trip right after and I should return home on March 10th.

God willing everything goes well do you know how far is the Oath Ceremony after the interview?

My office is Hotsville, Long Island!

Please help, I need to confirm with my office the return dates and I don't want to miss the Oath! How bad is to reschedule the Oath?

When should I have the bio? Also I was editing my timeline and trying to figure out what's my CIS local office.

My zip code is 11421 and from the USCIS website the office is Holtsville, NY 11742 but not in the list! Holtsville is so far from Queens, not sure why Federal Plaza NYC is handling it! Please advise!

I requested it from my city Tribunale. You may call them and say you need a casellario giudiziario and go there with the "marche da bollo" and documents requested. If I am not wrong it takes two days to be issued. Good luck

I just called USCIS and they told me that the office district is different from my old address and the new one, therefore I am not eligible to file N400 since I need a 3 months residence requirment. NOOOOOO!!!! That's so unfair!!!!!

The representitive put me on hold for over 4 minutes and his answers weren't really convincing.... is it possible that 2 NYC Boroughs are in different districts?

What do you think if I file N400 with my old address and after 1 week I change with new address?

Help please I want to file N400!!!!!

Oh I am very confused now!

We are officially starting the new lease on Sept 1st 2012, move a few things and still be going to our old apartment for the next 2 months.

If we change address in September 2012 can we file the N400 on Sept 17? We are moving from Queens to Brooklyn (NY), is it the same competent district?
