I will ask him again!!!!
-
Hi,
We are gathering all the papers to send the AOS. They ask for the most 6 recent paystubs. Unfortunatly 2 (the 2nd and 3rd) are missing and his accountant told him he cannot make any copy. Is it ok if we send some others that will be older of 6 weeks?
Many thanks

I absolutely agree with you.
I have a stamp in my passport issued by an officer stating I have work authorization for 90 days.
Thank you

You are a very nice person RSN,
In one post you told me I am ignorant (my theories so me) and you are telling me to read (thanks I did it)
Anyway....I am a nice person....I want to thank you for all your answers and help.....
I agree with you that k1 visas need to apply for EAD but in that appendix I don't find any solution to my question.
Could you be very kind to guide through the exact line in the text that says the POE stamp is not valid?
Thank again

Do you mean this part of page 53?
Nonimmigrants Authorized to Work Incident to Status
Some nonimmigrant categories include individuals who, notwithstanding their nonimmigrant
classification, are likely to remain permanently in the United States. In particular, nonimmigrant
categories that are designed to ease family separations caused by visa wait times are based on
the expectation that the individuals will apply for adjustment of status to permanent resident
once in the United States. Thus, persons in these categories are permitted to work once they
have applied for, and been issued , an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) from USCIS.
Please could you tell me the page about the stamp issued on passport?
I understand that k1 visa need to apply for EAD but I don't understant why at POE I have been told that I could work starting next day of my arrival.

I would be very sorry for the jalous people.
I specifically planned my enter in the US through JFK to have that stamp!
Is anybody saying that the stamp is not valid able to prove it?
I should start my job next week and I don't want to break the law!
Thanks
-
Thank you Eric-Pris,
I agree with you and I need to see with my own eyes the USCIS law about that stamp!
-
Thank you RSN,
I read the document by USCIS and from what I understood it says that immigrant with k1 visa status are required to apply for EAD when they do AOS.
I didn't find any info about the stamp given at POE.
Can u please show me where it says that the stamp is not valid?
Thank you again

Thank you very much.
I am now wondering what would have happened to me if I didn't know that I was not authorized.
And please who is gonna educate all the officers at POE JFK about the rules of the little and nice stamp they do on your passport that is worthed 0?
The officer told me "you are good to go and you can work for the first 90 days".
So who is right now?
-
Hi,
I have been reading lately that the EAD stamped on passport upon entry on JFK (K1 visa) is not valid for work.
Can u please clarify that to me. Why the POE officer stamping my passport told me that I was able to work showing my passport? Of course he told me that I would have to do AOS but I was good to go with that stamp for the first 90 days.
Should I be worried. I am starting a new job next week and I told my employer that I have all papers to work legally.
Many thanks

I am confused. What is the difference between US Citizen and US Citizen by naturalization? Does it means that a person who is naturalized have to request US citizenship?
-
Me too I checked the box allowed to work because I have my passport stamped with work authorization and I received my ss with "valid for work only with dhs authorization".

Hi,
I came in the US on a K1 visa. I am getting married next week
I am preparing the papers to adjust my status.
Do you know if I will have to send picture of me and my husband, email we exchanged or joint bank accoutn etc etc as we did for the K1?
I didn't find any of those requirements but I would appreciate if you can confirm me that all I will have to send are the forms filled up.
Many thanks

Hi Borali,

or contact the Korean Embassy in the US they should answer your question.
Good luck

I forgot to say that you can go to the Health Center for any kind of vaccination you are missing (MMR, Tetanus, Varicella etc etc.) and of course everything is free.

Hi,
I would like to share some info for women that need the Human Papilloma Vaccine for Adustment of Status.
I was upset with the civil surgeon listed on the USCIS website. To do this immunization they were asking me $160 per shot (3 shots total to do).
I called the NY departement of health at (518) 473-4437 and asked for the nearest Center.
I went this morning and they gave me the vaccine for free.
They don't ask proof of citizenship or State Id (I listed only my SS). You wait 2 hours (it was a very busy day in the NYC center) and then you are ready to go with your yellow receipt that will be used to transcript the vaccination listed on DS3025.
Good luck!

What a good news! I was sure I had to pay and extra $380 for AP!
-
If I file the I-485 (I am a K1 visa) and include the check of $1010 I can send together the EAD and AP documents without paying the extra fee?
Please let me know if it's correct.
-
Thanks for all your replies.
Just to be 100% sure I would like to ask you if there is is a USCIS phone # where I can call and ask exactly what I should send (I-693 or only Ds-3025) and if the tubercolosi test is not needed because I had x-ray done 3 weeks ago.
Thanks.
-
How do I know if they did Tb test? I only know that oversee they did 2 extra shots for vaccination.
I cannot find on the DS3025 the tb test.
I called Dr Arnold and left voicemail but now I am concerned about the tubercolosi test.
-
I am a K1 holder and I am preparing the documents for AOS.
I did the medical examination oversee before the interview at the Consulate.
The Consulate gave me back an enveloppe with x-ray and vaccination record. No blood exam documents.
I couldn't understand anything about what I will need on the I-693. I read many thread but it's very confusing.
I don't want to risk to receive and RFE because of missing documents. Some people sending just the DS3025 received a RFE.
I already called 6 civil surgeon in the NYC area and nobody will transcipt the vaccination (they want the full medical again done!). I don't think they did the tubercolosi test so I will need also that one done in the US.
Is there anybody willing to help me?
Do I have to send the complete I-693 (do I have to do again blood exam for first part?).
Anybody knows an honest civil surgeon in NYC?
Many thanks
