I had half bad half good day... i lost my mobile at one wedding party today.. whew.. i didn't realize until i was in the more then half way to the home.. Then mom called her friend and asked her if she can ask someone if someone got it.. Thanks to that kind person she gave my mobile to my mom's friend.. wow i was about to block my phone card and i got news they found it lol.. that was a relief... so this is how hopefully our relief of visa will come soon.. For CR1 IV packet submitting without PCC

Hi All,

I like to have a quick suggestion from you guys, I have all the documents of my wife except the regional PCC.

which means I have:

- DS-230 form(with just signed on 1st page)

- 4 Passport photo

- Marriage Certificate (Orig)

- Birth Cirtificate(Orig with translation)

- Copy of Passport

and missing document is

- Regional PCC

As my wife just received her passport and to get PCC it will take another couple weeks, and if I wait for that I may miss interview schedule in July 2nd week.

My question is:

Can I send in the documents that I have with me and mention on the cover letter that I'll show original PCC at the time of interview or something?

Has anybody done something like this? Is it possible to do like this?

Please Advice... Because I dont want to wait one more month, its already delayed due to passport.

See now days its too difficult to get the PCC from Ahmadabad office.. i don't know which is ur local office for pcc.. Ahmadabad office won't give PCC without interview letter so u need to contact NVC and write them letter explaining everything about the Ahmadabad office if ur wife is going to issue from there.. I don't think so its problem to get from other part of india. Good luck.. i have read some post and some of the Vj members did the same and they did not get the RFE. They showed it at the interview time.

Certified copy isn't Notarized copy. Say municipality of whichever city beneficiary belongs to issued the original birth certificate, beneficiary will have to go to the same governing body and they will issue a certified copy of the original. Here is my certified BC, you can get an idea.

I have heard others say that you can send copies and in your cover letter state that originals will be presented at the interview. I sent the originals. I haven't heard anyone say things were lost, but maybe I'm just not reading the right posts.

no news from our side... this touch doesn't mean anything.. i hate it, its just giving me a jump for a day then no good news

If your husband has not called in the past few days, then its a real touch, which means they are doing something with your file.

For example, if he calls, within 24 hours a touch will show up. That is how you can tell processing touches from calling touches.

yeah see my hubby called them on 8th and it was an officer.. he said we will hear something from them within a 30 days. i don't know if he was true.. Then rite after few hours we got touch and then next day on 9th got touched again.. so on first day we can say got touch by calling..

Hello Simps, how do you keep getting your case touched by the uscis? Mine hasnt been touched since April 14 when they sent the noa1. I keep checking it and there are no updates after i log in. I filed a stand alone I-130 petition and we filed in the chicago lock box and it was sent to the CSC. Do we have the same kind of case. We filed on 4/2/09. Is your case similar to mine? My husband is Moroccan.

Here's the deal . My wife had applied for Visitor's Visa yesterday and she was told that she could not apply for visitor's visa since she had married a US citizen and there was no law to applying for this Visa . I am planning to call up the counselor and ask him what the deal is .

Has anyone tried applying for Visitor's visa while they have applied for I-130 petition ? Just curious , why would a visitor's visa be not available if you have applied for I-130 and is pending .

I am just pissed with the whole deal .

Yeah first U need to fill up ur time line dear and beneficiary country... anyways its not allow in my country... its bcoz u r beneficiary already having file for immigration visa so they not gonna approve it at all.. Good luck may be u can call there...

Very unlikly they will issue a visitors visa, she will have to show STRONG ties to her home country to return after her visit. Especialy with a family petition already on file, they may see not fit to issue.

yop i totally agree with Paris.. ur wife need to show Strong bonding in her country and its not possible for any one who applied already for the immigrant visa.. See one of my friends his parents became USC just before few months. His parents applied K3 for him. He wanted to visit his parents so he applied for visiting visa but they rejected him and lady at the interview clearly told him, he can not apply for the visitor visa while he already applied for immigrant petition. He even show them strong boding of him coming back for sure like his Work certificate and his properties in India.

My fiance and i had our first K1 visa application denied because we failed to return a request for evidence within the alotted time period. This was down to a mail forwarding issue(yes i'm aware we should have kept on top of this but she's at college so not at her permanent residence).

As far as i can tell an appeal takes forever and is not necessarily the correct thing to do in this circumstance.

Can we simply re-apply? Are there any restrictions for a 2nd application?

yeah re filing is good idea and if u r sure u gonna get marry then may be u can apply for CR1 after marriage. Its up to u.. my husband applied for K1 for me and they denied us after whole 7 months and yeah do not appeal , its wasting time and money.. we lost our money and time both so giving u warning for not appealing.. our appeal took around 3 months and they dismissed it.. Bad experience from my side so better be safe..

Got there 7:20 for my 7:30 appointment.

A lady at the front asked for my letter, passport and two pictures. She gave them back to me then sent me in the line to go inside.

Went through security check point then into the courtyard where about 50 peoples was waiting. I went straight to the door and joined the line to get the yellow slip to write my passport number on.

The man said go inside and sit on the right. All seats were taken so i stood to the side.

The man who gave me yellow came inside and said he had bad news and good news which one do we want first. We said the bad news. He said the numbers on the ticket will not go in order and the good news is we will leave before the people on the left side. Everyone cracked up.

I love crossword puzzle so while i was waiting i did two pages, tried to relax.

About 9:15 i was called to the window to do the finger print.

The lady asked:

Who is filing for you?

Have you ever been to the US?

She asked for my passport, pictures and medical.

Did the finger print and said sit until you hear your number again.

In about 5 minutes i did.

The interviewer asked who is filing for me?

Then said one moment pls and went to the window i came from earlier. I was like what the F@$K?

She then asked:

How did you meet?

How long have you been intimate?

When did you decide you wanted to get married?

Why was he here in '07?

Do you have any children?

Is your daughter going with you?

Does your husband have any children?

How often do you see each other?

I asked if she wanted to see the stamps, she said yes and took them from me.

She didn't ask for any evidence.

Then she said your visa has been approved go to window 28.

I love mangos! We have an asian supermarket here and you can get like 20 for 6 bucks! It's the summer now. Kick @####! But it snowed just a few days ago..which was completely random. Hard to believe it's already the 9th of June. O_O

Beth we hope you are approved very soon and we feel sure you will be all these "touches" are a good sign.

We would like everyone to know that Roberta and I were approved yesterday and have just been informed. We are as you can imagine over the moon as it is the first step in being re united and we just are speechless really.

This took us 231 days from NOA 1 a period of 7.7 months so please do not despair if your approval seems so long in coming. It is stressful the not knowing and the being apart when you know there is so much to do at home with your loved one. Your approval will come just keep the faith.
