  1. Hello fellow members,

Please i am asking for your help as i am really confused where to send the documents.

I had the DS-230 ready to submit supposedly about a month ago but havent send to NVC yet. When i downloaded that DS-230 form ,,it includes the bar coded sheet along with the address where to send it and the instruction says:ATTN:CMR.

Now when we got the RFE checklist for our I-864.. it says our missing documents are the completed correct form I-864(since part 5 was not asnwered correctly), and the DS-230.

I am soo confused where to send this 2 documents?? The RFE checklist with barcode says send it to :

    National Visa Center

    ATT: DR

    31 Rochester Ave. Ste 100

    Portsmouth NH 03801-2909

the DS 230 bar code i printed a month ago says send it to:

    National Visa Center

    ATTN: CMR

    32 Rochested Ave.Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909

    Portsmouth

Where should i send this documents? they have the same address BUT different ATTN: or is it a department where to send the papers??

What address should i send the papers to? the address in DS-230 or the address in the RFE checklist?

Please help me. Thanks a lot in advance.

  2. [/bFirst of all I wanna thank you all for your untiring support for people like me. Just this evening I received an email from USCIS (Checklist Response Letter) after they received all our I-864 documents in March 25.

I desperately need your help pls. fellow members.

    The checklist says:

    On the Sponsor's I-864

Part 6-Sponsor's Income and Employment (hubby lost job)

    1. It says Sponsor's income indicated on the I-864 Part 25 does not correspond to that shown on the most recent tax return and W2?

    Here is the situation;

    2009 Adjusted Gross Income = 30,393.00

    Hubby's 2009 W2------------= 16,915.00

    Hubby's Form 1099----------= 6,660.00

    My W2--------------------- =8,117.35

I only answered in the AOS form 23,575.00(just hubby's income not including mine).WHat is the correct figure i should put?

    2. In my I-864 A Part 2 that i filled out checklist says;

    * Not all accompanying family members have been listed?

Should I list all my kids in the box below ? or just one child in each I-864A? We filed 2 separate I-130 petition.

Please am begging for your help. I would thank you all in advance. God bless us all!

  3. Hello fellow VJ'ers,

I would appreciate if someone here can give me an advice for a friend who needs help.

Here 's the story: She is now an LPR but had trouble left behind in the Philippines when she came here a year ago.

Her brother owed a big amount of money(in the Philippines) and my friend signed the paper when his brother borrowed that money from their family friend ,her as sort of a co- borrower.

They were not able to pay the amount as agreed in a specific time to be paid. The woman whom they owed the money threatened her(my friend) that if they will not pay they will have to file a case against my friend so her green card will be revoked and she will be deported.

    Her questions are:

    1. Is it possible that she will be deported because someone from the Philippines sue her for money her brother owed?

    2. If they will file a case in the Philippines against her,,would she be deported?

Please any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  4. They need to be original as it is issued from the agency that maintains it. Divorce decree will be a copy certified by the court (original stays with the court)...marriage certificate has to be on NSO security paper (you did get married in the PI right?)

I dont know about the kids though...I remember reading something like that before (you would sign for your kids, but not completely sure)

Thank you so much for your reply. What am asking is are my documents that i am going to send be okay? My kids' birth certificates are authenticated from NSO in the Philippines and my Certificate of NO Marriage was also authenticated from NSO in the Philippines. I was not married to my ex(father of my kids).

I am going to send the authenticated(in Yellow NSO Paper) Birth certificate and certificate of NO marriage..would this be accepted? Coz there is only one original and if i get a copy from the offices that has this records then it would not be originals but certified copies..am i right?

We got my hubby's divorce decree from the county and his birth certificate from the Vital records office here in Georgia, and our marriage certificate..would this be considered legal valid documents even if they are not originals?

    Pls.help thanks a million again .

  5. Hello fellow members,

Just need badly your help. We have all the documents ready for the DS-230 submission. My questions are:

    1. Do we really need to send the original documents?

    2. Do they accept certified copy of documents instead of originals? Example. We get a copy of my hubby's Birth Certificate frm the county where he was born and also we got a certified copy of his divorce decree from the court house and so with our marriage certificate..would this be okay?or do we really need the originals?

3.my kids are minors (12 and 9) can i just sign the ds-230 instead of my kids since i am the mother and the agent as well?

Please help me. Thanks very much .

  6. 1. Do i need to send the Barcoded Cover sheet as well?

YES. After paying $400, the payment status changes to PAID and once the status is Paid then you can print the Document Cover Sheet and you need to send this with DS-230.

    2. IF so which barcoded cover sheet should I send? the Barcoded sheet that i printed after paying the AOS ($70) or the the IV Fee Payment receipt of the $400 that I paid?

IF Fee Payment...after paying $400, the payment status changes to PAID and once the status is Paid then you can print the Document Cover Sheet and you need to send this with DS-230.

The IV Fee Payment receipt do not have the barcode? So should I send the Iv Fee Receipt of the $400?

After the payment status changes to PAID you will see a link for DOCUMENT COVER SHEET ( you need to print this one...same as how you did for I-864 ($70))

Hope this helps, Good Luck! THanks, Raj

Thank you all for your reply. Yes i had that document cover sheet printed,i just forgot that i have it.

  7. Hello fellow members,

Just an additinal quick question pls. When i sent to NVC the AOS documents I also send the Document Cover sheet (payment for $70).

    Now my question is:

    When sending the DS-230

    1. Do i need to send the Barcoded Cover sheet as well?

    2. IF so which barcoded cover sheet should I send? the Barcoded sheet that i printed after paying the AOS ($70) or the the IV Fee Payment receipt of the $400 that I paid?

The IV Fee Payment receipt do not have the barcode? So should I send the Iv Fee Receipt of the $400?

Please help me as i am confused.Thank you very much.

  8. Hello Fellow VJ Members,

I just wanna thank you all first of all for the untiring help you have extended to us. I am on the process of completing the DS-230 for my kids. I am not sure so i need your help on this. Thank you very much in advance.

    Here are my questions:

    1. In making the cover letter what should i put in here? when you say

I,Juan Tamad, a citizen of the United states would like to file the DS-230 completed by____? (WHO)?I am the biological mother of the benefeciary and also the agent and i did all the paper works and my USC husband is the petitioner?

    2. Also we do not have original copy of my hubby's divorce decree but we do have the certified copy from the court house..wud this be okay?

    3. Also in filling out the DS-230 what is the best to asnwer to questions that you do not know the answer?

Should i just leave it blank or put N?A or NONE?

    4. The Part 1 of the DS-230(part where needs to be signed by benefeciary) Is it okay to just send them the scanned copy of the form with the original signature of my kids(benefeciary) or is it okay that i will just sign the part 1 since i am the mother and my kids are only 12 and 8?

  9. Hello fellow VJ members,

I just wanted to ask a quick question to make sure if i am right. We are on the process of gathering documents for DS_230. My kids who are the benefeciary are 12 and 8 yrs. old. My question is:

Do i need to get their police certificates or NBI clearance? As i understand it i do not need to get this documents since they are below 16 yrs. old,,am i right?

    Thanks for your responce.

  10. I live in western Washington (state). I am looking for the least expensive way to communicate by cell phone or land line with my girlfriend who lives near Tampilisan, on Mindanao. If anyone can give me information on this topic, I would be most grateful.

When i was in the Philippines i am the one calling my husband using a PLDT international call card. It's only $2.00 for 50 minutes. You can call using a cellphone or landline fon anywhere in the Philippines.

  11. Hello My fellow Vj'ers,

I am still not able to send our AOS or I-864 package since am not 100% sure i have the complete documents to send.

    1. Copy of US citizenship (her Birth Certificate)

    2.Signed Form I-864

and the rest are ALl the same documents with the Principal sponsor or petitioner

DO we need anything else? or is there something else missing before we send it tomorrow.

Our Co-sponsor has complete 3 years Federal Tax Return with W2 and 1040,,do we need to send her 3 yrs. tax transcripts as well?

Please i would appreciate all your replies as we are sending this tomorrow.

  12. Do you really need to send 120 pages of documents for each application?

You should go through them and only submit what the form requires for each application.

Not knowing the paticulars for your case, 120 pages per seems a bit much.

For starters - if you are providing tax transcripts, you do not need "all our tax documents". (now, if your transcripts are taking up the bulk of your count - then no issues.)

Thanks for your reply. We have to submit my husband's I-864 and my I-864A and our co-sponsor's I-864 as well together with each of our proof of income stuff.

Yes i am sending 3 years tax return of us and our co-sponsor plus the 3 years tax transcripts. Also our co-sponsor has 2 jobs and she gets paid every week (2 pages each paycheck) and that alone is 8 pages per month times 6 months.

We are also sending my husband and my paystubs for 6 months plus other documents required. Is it okey to just send the 3 yrs federal tax return with W2 and 1040 and not include the tax transcript?

ALso our co-sponsor has 1 full time and 1 part time job(on Saturdays) can we just submit her proof of income in her full time job? or shoud we include the par time job's income as well??

Please help as am freaking out wether to submit all this or no? I am fear of getting an RFE. Thank you so much.

  13. Hello Fellow Vj members,

Here i am again asking for your opinion. As you all know my USC husband filed 2 separate I-130 petitions for my 2 minor kids in the Philippines.

Hubby lost his job for a couple of months reason why we are off $500 to meet the poverty requirement. Now we have a co-sponsor and we are ready to submit the documents needed along with the affidavit of support.

I am full time working and our co-sponsor has 2 jobs and with all our tax documents, paystubs, tax transcripts (for 3 people me, hubby and co-sponsor) we are sending about 120 pages of documents in each petition filed.

I am scared of getting an RFE and we are only sending the documents needed , nothing more , nothing less.

    My questions are:

    1. Is this documents too much to send to NVC?..

    2. How much is too much?? We only send the documents that were asked to submit(120 pages).

Please i would appreciate any help you can extend us.

  14. normally you only have to send 1 copy of supporting documents and 2 of just the 864..but since you are already in the US...hmmm. If all the documentation that is needed is that much...then it is that many pages.

Thank you but it is a two separate I-130 petitions filed for my 2 kids. And there will be 3 people involved Me, my hubby who' s the petitioner and our co-Sponsor. If Me and hubby get paid twice a month, our co-sponsor get paide every week so that alone is 2 paystub each month (me and hubby) and 4 paystub each month for my co-sponsor (she's got 2 jobs)times 6 months plus other tax documents.

Really worried about sending complete documents required coz they are bunch but worried on the other hand of getting an RFE if i don't send what they need.

I did not include any document that was not required but still am scared. Is this too much?

What can you advice me?pls. i wud appreciate all ur respose.

  15. Hello Fellow Vj Members,

Hope you are all in great shape. To make the story short My USC husband is the petitioner for my 2 kids in the Philippines. Got the I-130 approval and now we are ready to send the documents for the affidavit of support. Since we did not meet the poverty requirement since hubby lost job for a couple of months we have our co-sponsor.

I am full time working and co-sponsor has 2 jobs and our documents to submit scares me. With all the tax returns for the 3 of us( Me , hubby and co-sponsor), and other documents.

My question is we have like 120 pages of supporting documents for each of my kids(Each I-130).Is this too much? We just made sure we have all the required documents like paystubs, tax returns, tax transcripts ,etc.etc.

Please i need your opinion on this. Are the documents we gonna send too much?I would appreciate all your help.

  16. Hello fellow members,

Pls i need ur help with this questions I have before finally submitting the DS-230 and AOs packet.

1.Are the documents to be submited with DS-230 be originals?

    2. Are the documents to be submitted with I-864 be originals?

    3. Is the I-864 and I-864A needs to be notarized?

I would appreciate your help on this. Thanks a lot.

  17. Good morning to you all,

Just have a quick question regarding the co sponsor. We do have a co -sponsor , now my question is do we really need to send all ORIGINAL documents to NVC for AOS processing?

It is hard to ask original documents of co- sponsor like Birth Certificate and others.

Is a copy of original documents be enough or where can i have a legal document be certified?

thank you so much I would appreciate your help.

  18. hi verna. the number from what i understand is the total number of intending immigrant/s being supported, so if it's just one (one principal immigrant whose name you will put on line (a) ) then you put one (1) or if for intance the principal immigrant is a spouse and one child so two (2) and so on.

Thanks Zen..thats how i understand it too ..was just making sure.
