Thanks Nawal and Sandrila. Sandrila, so sorry to hear about your grandma. May she rest in peace.
JJ, come on....there is no locomotive coming down the tracks. Next time he'll have to answer to you and ME! And probably a long line of gals from MENA. He is forewarned!

I haven't commented in a long time but I gotta say Y's_habibitk, that was right on. Talk about low blow and cheap shot. ####### indeed. If it was a street fight, I would jump in to beat the shite out of the one who threw the cheap shot...and I am a street beat cop. Digusting indeed. Man, o' man I thought we were better than that. Ok..biting tongue to prevent the lock of this thread.

Hi guys, since u guys have been through this, i wanted to ask if i am allowed to accompany my husband at new delhi consulate. i am us citizen. My case just completed at NVC.
you slipped that in and I didn't even see it-Ive been thru this forum several times. The answer is YES, you can accompany him to the embassy, HOWEVER the consular doing the interview has the authority to say-"You have done your work-its his turn now, please wait outside in the lobby." And I wouldn't be too surprised if they did. It shows you are right there supporting your SO. So good luck and God speed!-Amy
Don't be so sure about the YES.
This varies from consulate to consulate. Jordan most likely yes...but with some asertiveness. Others, it varies widely.
Regarding your previous question about fees at the consulate...in AMM, the Aramex delivery fee was 8JD in October and it would roughly be the same now, if any change. We're talking the CR1/IR1 correct? Good luck to you and yours.
Shrewd, best wishes...not too much longer!!
Shout out to Shapt....congrats man!

Are you going to sit back and say "I told you so" when she comes to you asking for help with filing the petition?
-
Here is a link to it: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/vacation...ration_form.xml
Also make sure she has your address handy as she will have to write that on the form as well.

Get your minds out...that didn't even cross my mind. I took it at face value.

We missed ya GG!! Jackie was smoking enough for you, her and I combined!

Glad my phone call to the CO helped....told ya he was my cousin. I told a him a few things off the record in case he got any ideas about not approving Reda! ;-)
That is great news! Are you still planning to go an pick him up? When?
-
Hope you're back in action soon!!

Darn Delta...always trying to get and extra buck (well 150 bucks per bag outta folks)....I don't think I will give them my business anymore. JERKS! Time like that you have to love RJ! They let you slide a few pounds most of the time....they know us Arabs can't pack light! LOL.
Thanks jJ...I hope to see his plane overhead as it enters US airspace!! I'll wave him through, hopefully not too far from now! Stay positive and keep that smile wide!

Did he enter on his CR1? He should receive his green card in the mail soon. At the point he is a conditional permanent resident, read the stamp they gave him at his POE. I am not sure how old he is, but if he's under 26 he should register for selective services. Also in the future you'll need to file to removed conditions.
Now to answer your question, he he can travel with the conditional green card. He is still required to meet the stipulations set in maintaining his permanent resident status. The following should help you: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

Thanks for clarifying that. Reason I ask is that I didn't see a place for the petitioner to put that information on the I130 (about their kids, just the beneficiaries) and was wondering where the heck the CO would have picked up the bit of information to ask you about. It could it be that the interviewer got that from the G325a? But that would surprise me as I thought that form was not scrutinized very much and some have gotten by with not filling it out properly. Just something else we can learn from your experience. Thanks again for sharing...and I hope you didn't take it as I was prying into your personal life.

Heck yeah!!! Best wishes on the reunion!!! 20 more hours or so to go!!!! Mine will be here in 46 hours! Great stuff!

Keep calling and try between 10pm-midnight. Don't accept that they can't give it to you b/c as you can see many of us got it! Good luck!

Congrats to Ilya and Isma on the visa!! I wanted to ask you about the stepchildren question they asked you about. That kinda threw me off. Will they stay behind and not immigrate?
RR you will be fine...relax woman!!
Shrewdgal, best of luck tomorrow! Hope you get a Jan interview date!!

If they live there and both work there I think they have a good chance of getting the visa (and it's $131 to apply). But as other said they need to overcome the presumptions of immigrant intent. BUT nonimmigrant visas from ME countries are far and few between for males.
I don't think a denial of a B1/B2 visa would cause any harm down the road UNLESS they denial is due to anything other than unable to overcome to the satisfaction of the consular officer, the presumption of law that every nonimmigrant is presumed to be an intending immigrant, or otherwise did not establish eligibility for the particular category (i.e. previous US overstay, non-law abiding past, etc.)
