I just walked in and did my appointment. The security asked me why I came since I don't have an appointment that day. I told them that I couldn't make my original date because of my work schedule.Hi, my application was sent in July 30 to the Phoenix Lockbox , and I received my notification on August 14. I received my finger print/biometrics letter on Aug 19 and my appointment is for Aug 27 in Detroit. Can I just walk in and do my appointment earlier or do I need to call ahead? Thanks!

I was just talking to my friend (who got naturalized a year ago). She said that our field office is in Chatsworth, CA. Updating.
Also since I also didn't received the notification for my FP appointment, I updated from 'the date I was supposed to be notified on' to 'none'.

Can you tell me where is your filed office?
Los Angeles is really slow recently.
My fingerprinting was done in Oxnard, CA. I guess my field office will be LA or Oxnard. I'm not sure which one. Just waiting for the interview letter to confirm it.
My last interview for AOS (5 years ago) was at Los Angeles but I had a different place for biometrics back then. Now I have a new place for biometrics/fingerprinting, so maybe my field office is different this time too.

1_Do you guys receive an email / text message, before getting FP letters in the mail ?
2_Does the uscis online status update before they send you the FP letter ?
3_ it's been16 days since they received my application and a 8 days since I got the NOA in the mail...but no FP yet no updates no nothing!!, should I be concerned or am I just being too impatient !?

Please don't bring a confusion. I don't leave in Arizona. Phoenix, AZ is the lockbox where I filed the form since I live in California.Updated!
My field office definitely should be in California. I haven't heard from anyone who needed to travel to a different state to attend the interview.
I'm just not sure which city since the fingerprinting office has changed from the last time I did it. That's why I'm not sure if the field office has changed or not.

I'm not sure which field office I am at. The fingerprinting is going to happen in Oxnard, CA. But I don't know if the field office has the same location.Diazy, are you able to update your field office?
I'm waiting for an interview letter to find out my field office.

I wonder if the USCIS call center has up to date information or the same information that you see online.
I think they have the same information unless they will transfer you to their managers (level 2 help). At least that was the case several years ago.

Are you able to check online the status now? Does it show the most updated status online?
It still shows the initial review: "On July 23, 2014, we received this N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice...."
Nothing about biometrics.

I just received the biometrics letter. The date when the notice was generated is August 2nd, but I didn't see any updates about it online even though I signed up for the updates. It took them almost a week to send the notice out since the envelope had a post stamp of August 8th.
The biometrics date is 08/20/2014, but I will try to do a walk-in this week.

We filed my forms last Saturday. It was delivered yesterday!
My husband came to the US March 2011 (K-1), but didn't get his temporary green card until January 2012. His 10 year green card came March 2014. I've heard you can file 90 days before your 3 years from the date on the green card? So, if it's January 2012, can he file October 2014? Thanks!
You're right: sometime in October he is eligible to apply. Be careful with the actual dates :-)

Can I ask every one who received the approval letter, -If they received the pre-set e-mail& txt message Alert in the same time with the Approval letter.
- If they received the Alert message later with the card production order.
-or even received the Approval letter and the green card ,and still didn't receive the e-mail and Txt message.

I had an email alert set up. I received the alert on Wednesday afternoon and on Thursday morning. I received the green card either on Saturday or Monday and the approval letter came the next day.

So the oddest thing occurred last night... i received 2my txt msgs frim USCIS letting me know my status has been updated and got an email confirming that USPS have confirmed delivery of my GC. Which is all really good.. but... i got approved and received my GC over a month ago
craziness! LolHoping the rest of the May Filers get approved asap!!! My fingers and toes are crossed for yall!
I also received similar emails last week:
- one of them was letting me know that my green card is on my way
- another one confirming that USPS delivered my green card.
I got my green card in October =)

I know a person who was waiting for his green card for a month. He was approved at the end of November and got the green card after Christmas.

Hi, guys. We received our approval letter on the 9th of this month.
Approval date was 01/05/2012.
I was going to post this when we actually received the GC in the mail but to see and let others know the time beween our approval letter and the GC mail, I'm writing this down.
Congratulations on those who were approved and hope other people who are still waiting gets their approval letter soon enough

I just received an email yesterday that said production of my card was ordered on January 18th. Let's see how long it takes to get mine. Congrats!! I hear the cards are pretty:)

I'm not quite sure, but I believe a MediCaid is a federal means-tested benefit and your sponsor (the person who signed your affidavit - probably your significant other) will require to reimburse the full amount. [unless you're a US citizen or have worked more than 10 years in US.]
