  1. I received an e-mail that RFE was sent to me=(

Did you find out yet what your RFE was for?

    Yesterday I received my RFE....

They ask for Affidavit of Support, but I filed it...

UGH! What was the exact wording? Was it just the affidavit itself or is there maybe some specific piece of evidence they are requesting. If it's just the affidavit itself...I assume you kept a copy of the entire packet? You could just fill it out fresh (or re-print it if you saved a copy on your computer somewhere) and send it in. I would include a cover letter stating that the form was included in the original packet.

It is written: "In order to process your application further, submit a completed and signed Form I-864...."

I'm going to send them it again.

  2. However it did have what I believe to be case numbers for our EAD and 485...it started with an MSC...does anyone know if that's our case number?

There are case numbers for EAD and I485 on the biometric letter. They are yours.

For example, your EAD case number is MSC0000000003. Your I485 case number is MSC0000000005.

There are case numbers at the back of your cashed checks: MSC0000000001, MSC0000000002.

Than you can find your i130 case number, which will be MSC0000000004, your I131 case number - MSC0000000006.

So I mean that all your case numbers are close to each other. And if you know any of them you can find the rest.

I found my all case numbers like this when I get my biometric letter. And I checked them when I got my NOAs.

  3. oh no :( sorry to heat that. do they say in the email what do they need from you?

but don't worry, I read here that if you send what they want quickly, it won't delay the process significantly - only about 2 weeks.

I received an e-mail that RFE was sent to me=(

    No... Just like this:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD

On December 24, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your mailing address.

  4. My NOAs were sent to me on December 12. On December 23 I received Biometrics Letter. And only on December 24 I received my NOAs. And to my mind there was delay because of the envelope. I will try to explain:

On the envelope there is a window which shows addressee information typed on the notice. But the notice was moved in the envelope so the addressee information was not seen. And that is why the envelope was damaged a little bit.

    Hope you understand=)

  5. I checked my case online... NOAs date is 12/12/2008

I'm not sure if the actual paper is very important in this case (the NOA2 from a K1 visa is very important...it's the approval notice and you have to include copies of it with later applications)...but without it you won't have your receipt numbers, so you won't be able to track it online and if there is ever a problem you'll have a harder time reaching USCIS about it.

I can track my case online because I have Application numbers on my Biometrics Appointment Notice

  6. I just got biometrics appointment letter....My appointment is going to be on Jan 6

It's surprising, but I didn't get any NOAs....

Congrats on the bio appointment! Weird about the NOAs...I bet they were delayed by USPS somewhere. You should get them soon  If you don't receive them in a couple of weeks I would call USCIS and try to reach someone..make sure you refer to it as an I-797, "NOA" is a VJ term...USCIS won't know what you're talking about.

    Thanks.

    Are NOA so important???
