  1. Las Vegas USCIS.

I did told her that she needs her husband to be with her.

    :crying:

Well then it is up to your friend to do what needs to be done; reschedule the appointment and attend the interview WITH her husband. No way around that. It is also in her best interest to schedule the INFOPASS appt quickly....shell have a better chance to maybe get an earlier interview, before the husband has to leave. If she cannot get an interview before the husband leaves, she'll have to wait until he gets back.

    pretty cut and dry!

  2. Hi Partner...

I totally agree with you. I don't think it is gonna problem though.

Because Customs swipe your GC like a Credit Card, so they can see everything.

For Airliners, just show your passport, make sure you buy your ticket under Maiden name.

Btw, this last name changing for women messes so many offices up.

It is a problem by itself !.... You can see these kind problems at DMV & especially IRS !.....

    HERE IS MY TIMELINE :

    I-130 mailed 01/13/09

    I-130 received by USCIS 01/16/09

    NOA1 Mail for I-130 received 01/22/09

    I-485 Package mailed 02/17/09

I-485 Package received by USCIS 02/20/09

    NOA1 Mail for I-485 & I-765 received 02/26/09

    NOA2 e-mail for I-130 Approval 03/03/09 (47 Days)

NOA2 Hard Copy of I-130 Approval received 03/07/09

    Biometrics Done 03/24/09

STILL CAN'T SEE ON-LINE STATUS FOR AOS & EAD !.....

NOTE : I DID NOT APPLY FOR I-131 (AP).

    hey partner..

yeah i know...it'd just be interesting cuz u know how they are at the POE....i had an i-551 stamp and they pulled me aside askin questions so i always feel like its the officer that you meet who determines how much of a hard time they give you.

  3. I would use my Married name, purely to make getting back into the USA easier (since its on the greencard), take your marriage certificate with you to prove that you are who your passport says you are.

Though I will be interested to see the replies as this is another thing that has been confusing me recently.

Whichever option you choose , take your Marriage Certificate.

that's kinda tricky cuz most airlines want the ticket to match the passport, but for re-entry that could pose a problem..u should def travel with your relevant docs...marriage lic included.

that is such an interesting point..let us know how it worked when u travel..

  4. 90 days passed on monday and still no EAD.

has anyone else taken longer than 90days??? We scheduled an infopass for next week.

we have an AOS interview on April 30th and my wife would like to start working ASAP. please help.

Mine took 109 days for my EAD...3 days after my biometric!!!

couldn't help but comment on this one....are you saying that it took you 106 days to get your bio done?

  5. and for YEARS you have not even had the fleeting and passing thought of making an Infopass appointment to inquiry about the status of your adjustment of status? are you serious?

of course i did, every 3 months. you want examples of what i was told, one was, pipes have broken in the office and files are all wet. come back later, next!

yeah u are quite the comedian buddy...goodnight and goodluck!

dont waste time making wiseass remarks, this is serious to me.

ok..let's say for a second there that i look at your postings and decide to take u seriously....

    (1) you filed in 00-01

(2)you had an interview in 01 'and the lawyer missed 'a paper'

    (3) your wife left you and u didn't even know--according to u there were no signs

    (4) it is now 2009! and you have your second interview

    (5) u called uscis every 3 months between 2000 and 2009 and they gave you excuses?

you must see where i am going with this....there are obvious holes in your story. as much as i like to be fair and give everybody a chance, you have to do us the favor of stating your story as honestly and as precisely as possible. and that you haven't done! to say the least...your story makes no sense..

what you can probably do is explain in some more detail...what papers were the lawyer missing..etc. you come here for help but we have to pull stuff from u? explain ur situation clearly....65

listen man, whether you take it seriously or not is irrelevant. i was hit with a bombshell today and am trying to figure out what to do,. yes all i said is as it happened. she was missing for 245 or something. the guy wrote in my passport, i can look it up. i thought i am going to get my green card and now find out i might get deported.

    1 yes

    2 yes, i 245 i think

3 ######, every body has problems but no i didnt see it happening as it did.

4 yes, i called california office where my case is and they said its taken too long and will do something about it, the interview icoming up is what they did.

5 i would call and ask so much i would hit my quota of 3 times inquiry so i would have to wait, i would wait and try again. no excuses where in the begining by mid 2004 it was just pending security check.

i have nothing to hide, i did nothing wrong, so i have no reason to omit anything that has happened to me. all i am trying to do is to find answers that my incompetent lawyer cant do so.

just to be clear...when u come here, u are looking for help..to get said help, u need to present you case as clearly as possible. if you choose to be vague and not provide details, you leave us to guess and speculate about you and your intentions. and that's just for starters!

if i were u, i would get a very sharp lawyer like somebody said before. i don't think that's a battle that you can fight on your own. but you see...it still doesn't add up because lets say your lawyer didn't have a form (i-245 which i never heard of and doesnt exist on the site) the most you would get is an rfe, and you would have 60 or 90 days to send in that information. you are yet to mention whatever happened with that form that your lawyer was missing.. what happened to your original lawyer. was the document ever sent in? how did it move from u having everything you need to you being subject to security check or whatevr u say it was? did u and your wife have a bonafide marriage? did you live togther? what happened how u didn't know that she was leavin you? normally there are signs. why haven't you gotten a new lawyer since you must know that you case is complex.

i hope you understand what i am trying to say....we wanna help u but you have to present everything that one would need to offer any sort of advice.

  6. HEllo everyone, I am trying to find Igro`s list for AOS fillers, and can`t find it:((( or there is no Igor`s list for AOS fillers?

    Thank You!

I am not aware of a list for AOS filers. we sent ours in November. We got our biometrics appointment one month later and the interview one month after that. We had green cards in hand by the end of January.

    wow..that was fast...

champlain islands huh...that was once my neck of the woods when i went to school in plattsburgh

  7. http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.p...182#post2026182

if you check out "jupiter07's" response (20th March 2009 8:12 PM), he says he has two A#s....is that possible?

Throughout my application (I-130, I-485, I-131, G325A, I-693, I-864, I-765), i've used my OPT EAD A# thinking that A# is like ur SSN...u only get one in ur lifetime...

by the way, i'm F1-->OPT-->H1B-->Married to USC...

can an expert please comment on this?

    Thanks!

    http://www.rootlaw.com/index2.php?option=c...pdf=1&id=34 will answer your question.

So, it is OK to use A# on EAD for F1 OPT (which starts with 1) in the initial AOS aplciation, but you will eventually receive a new A# that starts with the digit 0 and that will be the permanent A#. I think once you receive the new A#, you should start using such new A# (for example, if you need to respond RFE).

thats right...i knew i came across a post that spoke about diff types of a #

  10. Let me ask this when they are doing their "SECURITY CHECK", you have never asked

and/or questioned about your case. Normally after the interview, the decision should be made in 60 days.

Forget about your lawyer, you would go to your local congressman or US Senator to investigate.

That is so ridiculous !..... I have never heard any case like this......

your wife left you because she couldn't wait any longer? i don't get that part...

  11. Sorry partner, I do not agree with you for the first time

It can not be. Do not confuse Admission Number on I-20 Form or F-1 Visa

with Alien Registration Number (A.K.A. A#) on all sort of Immigrant Applications.

i know partner, i hope i got it wrong cuz i would hate to spoil our record but on my old 1-94 and all my other docs, it stated A#......

might have meant adm# but it was printed on the i-94 ( i got a replacemnt, lost the original).. so maybe i am wrong...matter of fact i hope i am wrong for the sake of this patnership..lmao

  12. I went to the Civil Surgeon earlier to have my DS3025 transcribe to I-693. The doctor filled up the form, including the Part 1, with me but I forgot to bring anything that has my A# and I can't remember at the top of my head what it is. Then, of course, the CS submitted the I-693 in a sealed envelope so it never had my A# on it, is that alright or I just got myself in trouble?

i doubt its a big deal. u r submittin it with the rest of your AOS docs anyway

yes, that's right and i also submitted them already do so i cant do anything about it now.

    quite true...

  14. Like you said A# is Unique like someone's SS#.

It is impossible to have 2 different A #'s for the same individual.

    GOOD LUCK !.....

i know for my case, i adjusted from an f-1 and all my old paperwork from f-1 had an A number which was different from the ones that i got when i foled my AOS. the one with the AOS filing is permanent though.

  15. Good news! My husband received NOA for I-130 today! Woohoo! I was so worried last night! But I guess I worried over nothing. Now the wait starts for the biometrics appointment letter. Ugh! This is a game of waiting, isn't it? I hate waiting! I hope everything goes well for everyone! I'll keep you posted!

i must say, that really wasn't a smart thing to use diff addresses. now u gonna b guessing to which address each notice is gonna come? not smart at all.
