Well... I could not believe it myself... its been 2 months since i sent my packet.. and whoa!! i got the interview already..

I didnt have any touches since 12/10/08... no word on EAD also..

I know it can be frustrating... but hold on.. you already have your ead and ssn..so.. can work already..

    sit tight.. and good luck

carnie, exactly the same thing for mine...no touches since 12/12 then out of the blue came the interview.

  2. Hi guys!!!

I am getting ready to send I-130 and AOS and AGAIN, I am stucked!!! I don't know what address I should send my packet too.

Hope somebody can help me out.

On I-130 form instruction, it is said

"NOTE: If the Form I-130 petition is being filed concurrently with Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, submit both forms concurrently to:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4107"

    BUT

    On the I-485 form instruction,

It said that " If you are applying for adjustment of status under one of the eligibility categories listed below, file your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, with the USCIS Lockbox Facility.

    1. Spouse, parent, unmarried son/daughter under age 21 of a U.S. citizen with an approved or concurrently filed Form I-130 ......"

    Send it to:

    USCIS Lockbox Addresses:

For U.S. Postal Service (USPS) deliveries:

    USCIS P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4120

Can anyone please help clarify that?? What is the exact I send it to?

And what is the difference between sending them priority and express?? If I send express mail, do I have to send it to another address?

    THANKS GUYS!!!!!!

We sent ours to the I-130 address (4107) for Rin's children. Rin had an approved I-130, but we waited and filed the I-130 for her children concurrently with the I-485s. Since they end up in the same building, I seriously doubt it matters either way. Since Rin had an approved I-130, I guess it went to the wrong address (should have been 4120) but she received her GC anyway.

it depends on how u are mailing it. if you sending it via the post office..u use the 4120. for fed ex and other couriers they have a diff address..so it all depends on how u're sending it. i would strongly suggest usps so use the 4120

  3. Hi. i just got my notice for my interview in Feb. I filed on nov 14. what happens at the end of the interview? i was looking thru the site and i see that many others have had their 485s touched but mine has not shown any touches. yet i got the interview in feb. i haven't received word on the ead yet. is that normal? i am not complaining but i just wanna have an idea as to exactly how far along my process is.

i received my notice of interveiw last DEC 9 but my interveiw will be on FEB too And my EAD card delivered in mail last DEC 24 so im sure will be on the way

did you get any touches or anything or did it just appear like mine?

  5. Be straight and mention your employment. If you don't write it and they find out, you are going to be in deep deep ****. There is a severe punishment for misrepresentation and fraud and can result in deportation and bar on ever getting any immigration or non-immigration benefit.

Ok but you dont think that will affect my adjustment right?

Sorry to be harsh, but you worked illegally and now you may have to pay the price. It may or may not affect you adjustment, but you should not hide things or lie to the US government, or you can be in serious trouble if they find out.

Wasn't trying to hide anything. I was just getting as much info from this forum as I possibly could. I came across it accidentally and it looks like there is a wealth of info here, so I just thought I would ask. Thanks to everyone who responded. I really appreciate it.

  6. I searched the forum for something on this but I didn't find anything thus far. I came to the US on an F-1 student visa. After completing my studies, I used my OPT(optional practical training) and worked. I continued at the job even after the OPT expired. Now i just got married and my wife is expecting our first son. I was in the process of filling out the paperwork for the adjustment of my status and I came across the employment portion. I am not sure how I should go about filling this out or how it will affect my application. I have already gotten all the forms and I have pretty much filled out all of them. I just wanted to be sure.
