I'll have my AOS interview on May 19. We filed last Feb 2009. I can't believe how fast it is. I was expecting for RFE coz we did not submit the vaccination supplement from US surgeon but everything goes well... thank You God!

im here in vegas. Previous name used needs to be in the marriage license to indicate one's identity before marriage. Once you submitted your marriage certificate to your county recorder and have it certified, your marriage is now legal.
Basically, right after you have a certified marriage certificate, your wife can now change her name in any application she will be applying.
When u apply for SSN, bring your certified marriage license and other documents to prove your wife's identity and her entry to US (passport, Visa and I-94). She can place the new name (married name) in the application... Same process done when u apply for Adjustment of Status.
I used my new name and new signature in all applications i made after marriage...(Note: Always bring and show ur certified marriage certificate and passport when you apply. i do bring my Birth Certificate too...)

hi, i guess u are coming here in the US soon. A good favor is a pack of dried mango inside a sinamay bag or just wrap it with sinamay and tie it with 1inch ribbon of ur color choice. Almost all of the americans who tried to eat my dried mango like it so much. I know cebu got the best dried mango. It is allowed at the airport though because it is dried and packed. If u are having a second thought about the dried mango, u can go for anything which has "Philippines" tag or name in it. Take it easy and God bless on ur trip.
By the way, don't forget to bring ur veil, chord, etc. I had a filipino wedding here too and i made my own symbols for the wedding coz u cannot find them in the wedding stores here.

i suggest, don't mention to them that ur fiance got laid off...they would basically see to it that ur fiance has current job to see that u are secured when u'll be in america. im not sure if they will allow co-sponsor for K1 visa. you can inquire more...

My husband scanned the I-134 when he sent it to me thru email. I think of the same valid procedure when doing with G32a. But be sure to scan it very well so it will appear as original. Your printer must be doing good to get a clear copy of it too.

i think u can call directly from ur mobile phone... charge is 55pesos per minute. If ur fiance have a spare time to make the call, let him do it for u...It will not take more than 5 minutes to schedule an interview. when u call, be ready for ur case number, visa category, ur email address and decide first when do u want ur interview schedule. God bless!!!

hmmm...im sorry to hear ur situation, try to call USCIS...

i dont recommend fed-ex coz they stole the cash enclosed in the package my hubby sent and when we filed complaint, no response receive. Use other courier and beware of sending cash. You cannot rely anyone of them.
-
i think it must be a certified marriage license. When u have that copy, it means that ur marriage is recorded at the state registry. When it is not recorded, ur marriage is not valid.

you are fine... i got a friend who finished her medical exam the day before her USEM interview. She made it and got approved quickly. bring water and crackers along with ur medical exam, take it easy and pray.

You are applying for AOS, am i right? I suggest that u review the form u submitted if it was correct. Better call also USCIS and clarify the problem.

CONGRATZ

absolutely right!!!
But because u have found ur lover on the other side of the world, u are willing to sacrifice what it takes. Just limit ur expenses so that you will live good. Do not spend above ur income so you wont be screwed up with debt. It's a matter of control and be contented to what u have. (I can tell this because me and my hubby have budget plan for the month and we keep track on every expenses we had.) When we buy things, it's not what we want but it's what we need.

hello vj's im now starting to fill up the requirement forms for adjustment of status, shouldi put my new lastname to fill it up (like g-325,I-485)? thanks guys...
i used my married name already when i filed the AOS. I had my biometric done lately so it means taht using my married name is not a problem. I also used my new signature but i also indicated my old name and signature used at the side of every page of the application forms. Perhaps it will help in order for them to keep track that i was approved for K1 visa.

im just a little bit unsure on what to do during biometric appointment...
i have my appointment scheduled on march 3.
guyz, do u have any tips about this? what should i bring aside from the notices docs?
will i still have another interview after this or is this the final appearance for aos?
thank you in advance...

you only need few chatlogs like at least 1 sample every week or 2 samples every month but it will be very safe if u bring as many proofs as u want, pictures are important too...

Good day!
Just want to ask,When should i get SSN? Before or after marriage? Thanks for ur advices...
Have a nice day!!!

Celebrating with you..Have a nice life together.

It was pretty quick...less than 5minutes processing only..The officer was nice.
I showed my passport and gave him the visa packet.
I was asked few questions:
When do u plan to marry?
Where did u meet your fiance?
Afterwards, he took my finger prints and photograph.
He then told me informations about my visa. Some reminders that we should marry within 90days, AOS, SSN...
He was supposed to keep my X-ray CD but i asked him if I need the CD for my AOS... He then said that, I may or may not need it. So, he gave me back my Xray CD just in case that i will need it.
That's it.... So easy and no hassle...
