  1. Whidbey: I am simply TIRED of always having issues with them.Ever since the K 1 I have issues with the USCIS and I have no idea why.Our Marriage IS valid .Man the VA has asigned me to be my Husbands Caregiver.......how much more evidence do u need ? Plus my sons bio father said several times he wants to get me deported so he doesnt have to pay Child Support. His entire family threatened me with Immigration. So therefore it certainly cant hurt to have Senator Patty Murray involved. She is an advocate for disabled Veterans in our State so thats why I got her involved. All I want is to live in peace and quiet with my family. My Husbands PTSD symptooms spiked up since the RFE and he is terrified.I dont understand how peoplecan get divorced shortly after AOS then apply for ROC and have no problems while we who have a valid and strong Marrriage get RFE's and have to jump through hoops. They should keep an eye on those people not the ones that have not spent a day apart since they came to the US. Not to even mention all the Anchor baby cases and illegals on Food Stamps.I work in retail and you would not believe how many Customers I get with EBT cards that dont even speak English.I feel for those peoplebecause

because it cant be easy to live in fear of Deportation every day of your life ,but give me a break and dont make my life harder just because you lose my evidence.

I understand your frustration. Since you and I share a representative and we both got RFE's I'm guessing that this is how it works for Seattle. It took just 11 days from the day we sent in our RFE stuff to be approved and then another 5 days to receive the letter , I'm sure yours is on the way soon. Positive note - I was checking out stats and stuff for Naturalization and Seattle is BUSTIN' BUTT getting people through. Most are through in 3 months or less!! We can apply 7.1.12 and can't wait!

  2. Infopass appointment was basically a waste of time & money!! The guy looked at everything I had put together and said, "Looks good, send it in." ####### I came in because I already sent all this stuff in and they're asking for it AGAIN! He told me that what probably happened was they either lost our documentation or our documentation got separated from our application.

ANYWAYS, sent in the packet that day AND today we got our approval letter!!!!!! Of course hubby isn't here so I couldn't open it to find out, but it's AMAZING what you can see in an envelope with a strong fluorescent light behind it LOL!!! I just saw CONGRATULATIONS and APPROVED - that's all I needed!!!

  3. WOOO HOOOO just got our approval letter!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know the date on it yet because hubby isn't here to open the letter, BUT........... I held it up to the light and saw CONGRATULATIONS and "APPROVED". That's all I needed!!!

VetsWife - there probably is no reason to get Sen Murray involved at this point. As I told you before, you most likely got the RFE because they lost your documents or they were separated from your application. So all you need to do is resend them. You'll have your approval in a couple of weeks!

  4. Vet'swife - I completely understand your frustration. We sent in EVERYTHING possible with our application and got an RFE in January. Had an info-pass appointment to find out EXACTLY what was needed. The guy told me to resend in everything I sent in before because most likely what happened is that either they lost our documentation or it got separated from the application so they need all the documents - AGAIN. So we sent in updated info of everything we sent before.

  5. Out of curiosity, when you received the RFE, how much of a time frame were you given to send further evidence? And did the envelope have any clear signs that it was from USCIS?

I am only asking because I am heading abroad with my wife for 12 days, and wanted to make sure I would not be caught short.

We were given 3 months to respond. The envelope came in a Department of Homeland Security regular #10 envelope and the paper inside that showed through the window was blue.

  6. Good Morning all!

    ****WARNING*********RANT*********

    :bonk:

Went to our Infopass appointment yesterday to discuss our RFE (it was the EXACT same letter that was posted here). WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!!!!!! The guy looked at the things I had all nicely arranged in binding with numbered tabs and highlighted both of our names on documents and said, "Looks good - send it to California." ####### I could have talked to someone on the phone and been told that!! The national center person told me to go to local office to get more detailed information on exactly what was needed because I sent them everything I possibly could on that list back in July!! The guy here told me that most likely what happened is that they lost our documents or the documents and application got separated and they couldn't find them. ARGH!!! If that was the case then why not send me a letter saying, "Sorry we f'd up and lost your documents, can you please resend them?" Flippin' paid $7 to park for a grand total of 22 minutes, on top of round trip ferry fare for a trip that ended up being nearly 2 hours instead of 18 minutes because some psycho said he was going to blow up the boat with a bomb he had in his backpack. Then of course the 40 minute drive there after the ferry trip and I off nearly 3/4 of my day from work for this! The only nice thing of the day was that hubby and I had a nice lunch at Applebee's. Anyways, we priority mailed the packet off to USCIS. Oh and the guy at local office has NO IDEA why our case isn't coming up on the USCIS website or why it was there before and now isn't.

  7. lady, make sure youre entering in the correct number. think its the one from your biometrics appointment letter, not your NOA1. hope thats the issue. hope youre hanging in there. did you send in the RFE?

Hmmm I just entered the WAC number, before November it came up with info.

We haven't sent in the RFE yet, we have an infopass appointment on the 26th. There is nothing more I can send them on the list that they don't already have, so I've printed off updated versions of everything I sent them before. I really don't know what else to do.

  8. No positive yet, but I'm only 10 days past ovulation so could be later this week.

No mortgage because we rent. My parents are our landlords and the affidavit my mom sent specified that. I'll definitely have my OB/GYN write up something for us. Also will have my bosses write one up too. We have an infopass appointment sceduled for the 26th. We won't have our current taxes done by then though because the K1 forms for partnerships won't be ready until that day.

  9. It's just the standard form that states ways to prove valid marriage. The first listed is birth certificate, then financial records, then residence.

I tried talking to them this morning but they have to either talk to my husband or he has to be on the phone with me when I talk to them, so will hopefully talk to them tonight.

I guess I can give them update info of everything that I already sent and maybe an affidavit from my OB/GYN regarding us trying to conceive.

  10. We received an RFE yesterday also - asking for the exact same things. In my initial package I enclosed:

    1. Affidavit from my mother and landlord.

    2. Copy of our joint tax returns for 2009 and 2010.

    3. Copy of the beneficiary designation of my life insurance to my husband.

    4. Copies of our joint car insurance.

    5. Copy of our joint checking account.

    6. Copy of our joint electric bill.

    7. Copy of our reservations for a vacation we took together.

    8. Copy of our business licenses (we each run a business).

    9. Various photos of us together and us with my children.

    THEY WANT MORE?????????????????????

The first thing on the list of acceptable proof is a birth certificate of a child we have together - we don't have a child and we have been trying for 2 years to get pregnant! I had an 8 week miscarriage and at least one if not two or three 4 week chemical pregnancies. I'm on fertility drugs. I just don't know what else to do!

  11. Congrats Reese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    I will test on Friday the 13th to see if we did it this month!

AFM - we filed ROC last July and had biometrics in August. Unfortunately we got an RFE yesterday. I'm so upset! On the list the first thing they ask for as proof of valid marriage is birth certificate of child together - ####### that proves we have sex nothing more! We've been friggin' trying for over 2 years now, I've had one 8 week miscarriage as well as at least one if not two or three 4 week chemical pregnancies. I'm getting fertility treatments and everything!! The rest of the list is stuff we already submitted or stuff we don't have (ie a mortgage, credit cards together or loans). I'll be calling later today but I'm just so devastated! What happens if he's not approved?? He's deported? Or do we have other options (legal ones that is, we won't do anything illegal like overstay)?
