  3. Hi all,

I am new here (just registered). We sent our I-129F packet to USCIS in September and it was received on the 12th according to USPS tracking information. However it's over a month later now and we have not received any acknowledgement. Also since the I-129F does not require a processing fee we cannot tell from a cashed check that our application was in fact entered into their system. From my previous dealings with USCIS I know that calling customer service is not going to help. Has anyone been in this situation before and if so, what did you do ? We know we have a long wait ahead of us, but it would at least be reassuring to know that our application is in the system.

    Thanks,

    Deepak

  5. I'm very thankful to God for answering all my prayers and for giving me a wonderful husband. Back then, we always talk about our future together, and what's ahead of us, until now.

What made me decide to marry him was right from the start, I have a strong feeling that his my soulmate. I never doubted my decision when I married my husband. And I can't imagine life without him.

Marriage life is a serious thing and has lots of ups and downs but never give up.

    [/qu

When I got married to my husband 6 months ago it was the happiest moment ever. There are times that we had arguments(the jealousy).. But those things make us STRONGER and make us love each other more. For 6 months being married I never regret it and I know that I will never ever regret Beacuse before you decide to marry the man You already know/feel/think.. that YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH HIM.. that you will solve all the problems together. As long as there are LOVE, RESPECT,RESPONSIBILTY and FAITH...You are to FACE the married life. e are very much happy with each other even though we are far apart but it buids are marriage life STRONGER, EXCITING....THanks to everyone!

Good LUck to all of us! To Our Visa Journey! (L)

  6. Hello VJ, I hope you can have some advice about my worries right now..

Me and my fiance just meet in Manila and when he visit here, he didnt able to meet my family, only my father who go with me in manila airport to meet him. but we didnt have pics that show my father and my fiance meet.. My fiance have some worries to come here in cagayan de oro since it is a part of Mindanao, since he don't traveled that much even in the US and the US goverment have traveled advisories that they should not visit here in Philippine especially in Mindanao. I've tried to convince him that here is a safe place and a lot of foreigners visit here already but he still not convince. he still decided for us to meet in Manila and while were there , we really don't go out for his safety, we even don't have a lot of pictures, friends do you think I'll be deny cause my fiance didnt meet my family? but about proof of relationship, I have everything, but it's just we don't have much pictures together. He is coming this November but were still gonna stay in Manila just the two of us. I can't convince him to visit here in Cagayan. Please give me some advice... Thanks to all of you. 8. What does "BISDAKS" mean? I ain't sure if I qualify to be a member of your group, I'm Ilocano. :star::star::star:

    BISDAK means BISAYANG DAKO..

it means that if you grew up using the dialect (Visayan Dialect), your entire family uses the dialect and if you're from areas in Visayas and Mindanao using this dialect then you're a certified BISDAK.

I am part of this group! heheeh mga visaya! Gikan ko sa Cagayan De Oro City! Mga inday good luck sa atong visa journey!

  9. More information:

A PILLBOX explosion marred merrymakers' night at 'night cafe≠' in

front of 8/30 cafe & gallery in Tiano-Hayes Streets, DV Soria, Cagayan

    de Oro City Friday evening.

Eight people were reported to have suffered minor injuries from the

said explosion and were rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center

    (NMMC) following the incident.

Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro tried to get the names of the victims from the

emergency room desk of NMMC but hospital staff declined to disclose

    the victims' names.

City police (Cocpo) personnel led by Police Inspector Lemuel Gonda,

station commander of police station 1 (PS1), responded to the scene of

the crime and immediately cordoned the said area.

In phone interview with Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro, a police officer who

requested anonymity said the incident is still under investigation.

The police officer declined to reveal the names of the suspects

    pending their arrests.

The police officer also said there is no cause for alarm adding the

incident was just an aftermath of rival juvenile groups fighting that

night and there is nothing that could connect this to anything 'bigger

    than what it really is.'

A 'pillbox' is an improvised explosive device (IED) that detonates

upon impact. It is a weapon of choice of gang members.

Hello Guys! I am from Cagayan De Oro City and I never heared that kind of news here.

  10. aww, very touching. Thanks for sharing.

    I'll share a story too..

When I was still working in Call Center, I was in Ayala Makati that time waiting for Taxi. I noticed an old man (prolly in his 70's)who were waiting for taxi too but no taxi would stop to him since he is kinda nasty to look at. Ayala, Makati is the heart of business here in Philippines, its like, only corporate people/professionals are the ones walking in this area.

With his withered pants and dirty polo everyone would really think that he doesn't have a single penny in his wallet. As to my curiosity, I walked towards him and asked, "uhm, Lolo,(filipino term for an way old man), Where are you going? I might as well get you a taxi,I said. He answered, I am going to Marikina, to my daughter, do you have any idea how much would it cost me to go there? he asked me. I answered him, Lolo it depends on the taxi meter, of I might as well just get an agreed amount from the taxi driver and we can pay him before you get in. and the old man said, that would be better. So what I did was I called a taxi and when I was able to get one, I negotiated to the taxi driver how much would it cost the old man to get to his desired place, he said 300 would do. I told the old man that it's 300, to my surprise he gave me his wallet and asked me to get the money from his wallet cos he has his crane.I was kinda hesitant to do it since I don't even know this man,I just did so that this old man would just go. To my surprise, I saw big peso bills and some dollars, and I believe that I saw a a green card/permanent resident card from USA... I was kinda asking myself why an old man who is a permanent resident of USA would actually wearing something like that. He was actually giving me $100 but I refused it so fast.

Lessons I learnt from that was never judge someone based from their looks and helping other people willingly will always be credited in the eyes of God. And I felt so good helping that old man.

    :star:

wow..that was so nice of you..i'm sure you not only made that man happy but HIM too who's constantly looking down at us everyday of our lives..

Aw, thank you Mj... I am kidding myself, telling God that, Hey God, I already have 1 pogi point to you, I'm praying that you will also fix a trip for me through my visa journey.:P

  14. Hello everyone!!! just have question..My husband send out I-129f but after 5 days I think It went back to the mail beacuse He forgot to signed his G-325a He sent it last Thursday 25 of Sepember so its already one week now still did not get anything from USCIS does it take this longer? Thank you in advance for the replies! :)

Hey guys I mean the NOA1

Yes, it usually takes longer, even a month or more to get the NOA1. They should not reject the petition for an unsigned G325a. Did you sign yours?

Thanks for the reply Yes! I did sign mine completely.

  15. Check email 50 times a day to see if there is any message from uscis

Login to uscis account 100 times a day between 9am to 5pm to see if "last updated" date has changed

Click on reciept number even when "last updated" date hasn't change, hoping that maybe there's a different message

Clicking on everyone's time lines to see if someone close to your dates has heard anything

Printing every email and reciept etc, so that when you're finally approved and have an interview, you can bombard the interviewer with "proof of bonafide marriage"

    LOOOOOOOOOOL

Feel free to add your own things that you do!

Hey, You are not alone :D
