  1. I apologize if I am intruding on your forum, I just had a quick question. Has anyone here heard of or played an online game from a company called Level Up called Rose?

You talking about Rose Online Evolution? Cute game, its like Ragnarok. Are you selling a high level character?

Computers and internet are expensive in our country. Its not something to laugh about :).

  2. I came to US with a K1 visa last October, married my fiance last December and filed AOS last March. I am concerned about 2 things:

1.) I received a Transfer Notice for my I-485 last April 09. It says that it was transferred to California Service Center to speed up processing. I noticed not all I-485 gets transferred to CSC. So what does this mean?

2.) I went to a local USCIS office for my (I-485 and I-765) biometrics scheduled last April 21. The attendant said that either my fingerprints may have slightly faded or their machine sucks. So he transferred me to another high definition machine which prolly has higher resolution. So i asked if fingerprints really do fade and change. He said they fade... usually with nurses and doctors... with the soap they are using.... dries and scrapes the skin, and they change if you get scars on your fingers. He said this happens a lot especially with older people and that if they cant read or match the prints, they'll just send me a notice for a second biometrics where they'll look for matches with the first one.

And as feared, i did receive a second biometrics notice scheduled this May 14. Oddly enough, its only for my I-485.

Is this bad? Would this ultimately delay the process?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

  3. Hi. Welcome to VJ!

    You are K1, right?

That letter from the US Embassy simply states that they received your case from NVC and that you are legible to be interviewed.

You can call the US Embassy to schedule an interview. You or your fiance can call. Make sure theres a 1 or 2 weeks interval between your medical exam at St. Lukes Medical Extension Clinic and your interview date. Click on this link to view the steps --> http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

At the same time you need to gather these documents. Click on this link to view the requirements --> http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf . Be sure you secure all of these before you finalize your interview date. On page 5 of that document, you will see intructions pertaining to the medical exam.

Just for insights, you can read these:

  4. They are losing money, and that is all they are worried about. They are not really trying to protect anyone here. I was talking with my Ann and she called CFO and told there is a fee for the sticker (P400), and a fee for the certificate (P400), and a fee for the seminar (P250). I could not understand why they have to have a certificate and a sticker here...but its not much so....

But it seems the Philippines government needs to make as much money as they can on those fiancee that are leaving the country. The fraudulent stickers and certificates must be really hurting them now. They can easily detect this if they needed to.

You only have to pay P250 at the seminar where they will give you the certificate after and P400 for the CFO sticker.

The CFO seminar and guidance counseling is our government's attempt to help Filipino citizens (not just fiance/es) who leave the country and keep tabs of them. I went thru it and i find it very informative. They tell you what to do in the airport... what fees you'll be paying.... what to do and where to go to if you run into trouble in a foreign country. It is not extortion. Some may find it ridiculous but your fiance/es CANT leave the country without it.

Heck! If you can afford to pay all the visa fees........... its only P650.

People counterfeiting documents is all over the world.... not just in third world countries.

    :D

  5. jamesnrei: Sus Ikaw pa, you are always on the right track hehe :P . Are you going to file for AP too or just EAD with your AOS? I have another question thats sensitive in nature... ill PM it to you one of these days ;)

tedjen: We are glad that you are doing good. Some of us here are starting to worry. Just stay focused and positive. Know that all of us are praying with you and sending you positive vibes (full blast yan hehe).

  6. jamesnrei: They said 2 days turnover after the day they receive it. I mailed mine just as regular post.... not as priority... so it'll take 2-3 days before they'll receive it. So i mailed it Jan. 16 and i got it Jan 23. They sent me a receipt, my copy of I-693 and an envelop that says "Dont open, for immigration purposes."

As for my checklist hehe... its this link: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf and http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos . I had these printed out.

I was confused with affidavit of support at first but i figured it out already..... was pretty silly of me. Matt has no work right now coz his company closed so he just have his small business. He is above poverty line but I dont know if we need a co-sponsor. They said in here that its better to have a co-sponsor to be on the safe side.

A copy of the marraige certificate is fine. :) (In the instructions: page 4, 15.b )

stephnria: You need to go to a CS to get an I-693. Hmmmm i think segregate which is for you and your son. Just indicate it in the cover letter and send it in one packet? Id like to hear it from someone thats done with with AOS.

  7. bevs: Hiya. Its not that i didnt want the vaccine. Im done with all my needed vaccines during my medical in St. Lukes. I talked with the Dr. Arnold's assistant. She said i dont need the T-dap second dose yet... its too soon. That was the vaccine that St. Lukes told me to have done in the US. But I had the first dose of T-dap in St. Lukes. And they said i already received all the vaccines needed thats suitable for my age. So hopefully i wont get an RFE. I almost got everything i need. Im just waiting for my hubby's final Form 1040 and W2. Ill be filing my AOS and EAD pretty soon. :) Yeah... i hope this will all be over soon hahaha.
