I think i like her.
(nothing gay-ish Lol) -
Ok lets start again eh...
My hubby is 34 and I the PROUD PINAY from a POOR place in the Philippines is 32.
BUT I'm proud to say that hubby married me because Im POOR

astig
Heck yeah! Nothing wrong with being poor. It builds humility and character.

tallcoolone: Lol I was baiting you dude. But you can keep telling youself that... sure sure. You know you are always right.
-
Fiancee might have been sent for a psychological evaluation? I dont know how much are the fees. *shrugs*

Funny, Funny this I have spent more time on ALL Nurses than I have spent on this site.
You are not exchanging any info with admin, that is Brian.
I think the only Mod left now is SilverDragon, Lawerence used to be a good mod, and the famous Suzanne left back in Febrauary, They were the mods for Philippines and International.
If you read that was a bill introduced, that never passed.
Try to speak and comment on subject you know about, don't google information.
It's people like you who spread incorrect rumors that hurt Philippine Nurses who try to come here, by giving out false information.
FYI, My wife never worked a day in PI, and she is at work now as a RN...................
Aha, so your feathers do get ruffled when people attacks the wife... that you would resort to insults as expected. Somehow i figured you would say those. Thats a good thing for the wifey that you care, i guess. Oh well, thats all i was baiting you to give. And quoting admin and mod names was pretty good... do you want me to name the rest? RoFL. Have a good life *snore*.

You have an option where to complete the vaccines. I suggest take them in PH coz its included in your medical fees in St. Lukes.... plus the vaccines are way more expensive here in US... like Tdap shots alone is $60 here in SA, TX.

Let me Correct You, It may help you in your future career:
Two common myths that float around in PI regarding being a PI trained nurse and working in USA.
1.) You don't need to take NLE (Local Licensing Exam in PI), before you can sit for NCLEX. Only like 4 states out of 50 states in USA require a NLE before NCLEX can be taken.
2.) You don't need any work experience before you can work as a nurse in USA.
These are 2 very common myths that float around in PI. If you ever have question about getting licenses in USA, You can read each states website rearding Nursing, and plus you can always call them.
tallcoolone: Oh? I didnt know # 2... very interesting. But nah
, thats not what i meant. The PH government wont let you work in foreign soil unless you served as a nurse for 2 years in PH first. Theres a government agency in PH that prevents professionals including RNs/nursing aids from leaving without serving their country first. Its like CFO for K1. You can look it up if you want. Its all i could find, *sigh* too lazy to google right now... id rather play l4d.

*We are just exchanging info, admins and mods.*

No, if anything, Anabelle's pregnancy would be a strong sign of our ongoing relationship, as I'm the proud father! Just make sure that your paperwork is in order and any past issues are resolved in your life. Please don't keep secrets from your spouse. Be honest, even when it hurts.
Im sorry to hear about what happened to your wife at the US embassy.
But why was she denied? What are the grounds?
-
Let me correct you some:
Age 18 - 21 needs Parental Consent, 22 to 24 needs Parental Advisement - If I remember correctly.
Being a Lawyer or Doctor and coming to USA doesn't do you much good in USA. You basically go back to sqaure 1 with those degrees in USA.
Accreditation Office - Are you trying say to get her College Transcripts Evaluated to see if her degree in PI is comparable to same degree in USA, if so That was taken care of when she was still in PI, I had it evaluted by CGNFS before she ever stepped foot on US Soil.
I agree there is nothing wrong with working Wal Mart or Grocery Store, But for me and my personal goals it doesn't fall into what I am looking for in a lifetime partner......
tallcoolone: Yeah, true. I was missing that term "parental advice"... it was in the back of my mind. However to prove parental advice, it has to be written and signed by both parents. *shrugs* Legalities....
Oh i didnt know your wife is an RN. NCLEX and CGNFS does fix that. Good for her she doesnt have to go thru all of that. Not that i mind going back to school... its fun... i could always go for certifications... which is faster.
Had work or working in a grocery store shouldnt be basis in choosing a life partner. Such jobs teaches humility.
I have to say... not with prejudice. Your wife is smarter than you. Are you aware that if she hadnt married you to go to US, she'd still be in the philippines earning 2 years experience before she could practice in foreign soil?

CEMAR
in Philippines
Im paranoid, i would rather pay for another one that says for travel abroad. Better safe than sorry... its a small amount to pay.
When i went to get mine, i specified on the form its purpose. They normally put "for legal purposes" if you leave that area blank.
-
No they wont take the ID.
-
Oh to be fair to someone's comment about "marry a filipina or filipino who is 25 years old or above" earlier. In the philippines, the age considered by law as the rightful age to marry is 25 years old. Before that, one needs parents' consent. It is so as there is no divorce in the Philippines. If we get married outside of our country, we are required to report our marriage to the Philippines embassy or consulate. Although i dont think age matters, emotional and mental maturity and readiness to commit to marraige is more important..... but those "usually" comes with age.

tallcoolone: And oh theres nothing with working in Walmart or any grocery store. Its a good decent paying job. I dont know about your wife finding any job she wants considering the economy right now.... not that i belittle your wife... i hope her the best as a fellow filipina. Its just that your claims are unfounded. She is under 25 years old. She isnt a lawyer or a doctor. Its likely that she finished college... prolly a 2 year masters degree (hmm?!). Im sure you do know that she has to go to an accreditation office in here to gauge her college credits on how much that diploma is worth in the US. But even so, she just lacks the years of necessary experience.

I am from Davao City.

In Davao City, fruits are plenty and cheap... and beaches are nearby. Its more laid back and slow paced than Manila and Cebu.
-
Yes, NBI and Police Clearance has pictures on it.
SSS ID takes 3-6 months to get. Im not sure about postal IDs.
I used my police clearance as ID to get in the US Embassy for my interview.
-
SSS ID, Police Clearance, NBI Clearance are considered valid IDs too. Make sure the last 2 are not expired.

pinglocalhostess, we are currently out of town. Actually in Arkansas, it's so pretty here. So I am hoping that when we get back to Texas tom our GC is waiting for us.
If you've been reading March AOS filers, you'll see that USCIS is doing a pretty good job lately. Why wait till your biometrics schedule? You can just go there anytime you like and just bring your letter. We did that one time and they didn't make us come back.
Jose Rizal, san antonio is so pretty too. bring your tripod, it will come very handy.

jamesnrei: Hmmm Ive read last week about walk-ins in ASC. We'll go there tomorrow to check it out. Hopefully they'll take me in.
Ill cross my fingers

True Dat
Filipino National Pastime:
Falling in Line
Spreading Rumors............
I think everyone falls in line in a civilized society... at the grocery..... at the bank.... at the hospital........ etc. And you can find people spreading rumors around the world.
One should know if its credible or not.... depending on where the information came from.

-
Hmmmmmm it IS a dilemma. I would ask him nicely to show me... if that doesnt work then I hate to say this but I would definitely hack the lappy and make an image of it then boot it on another machine so id know whats going on... just to get myself out of my misery... or climb out of the ditch i digged myself in. You are talking about privacy, theres nothing wrong with that, but damn.... all the secrecy would drive me to do JUST THAT. But thats just me.
He said, "Just to torment you...". Well he got that right.... right smack at it. Its safe to say, start by telling him so. You want an open communication. Why not start it?

-
How come you still don't have your greencard? BTW, will be going to San Antonio 2nd week of June!
None of us has green cards yet. But jamesnrei's AOS has been approved so she will get hers in the mail soon.
My AOS is still pending. I was supposed to file my AOS last January but we had issues in filing Matt's ITR. We couldnt file his ITR online so we had to do it manually which take a bit of time. He included me as his wife, which is proper, and we eventually got our tax refunds
. So filed my AOS last week of March. I have to do my 2nd biometrics this May 14th coz they couldnt match or read my first one. They said its no big deal... but it sure delays it.
Hopefully no RFEs.Thats so cool. We should have dinner when you get here. Hopefully we arent out of town
. I didnt get to see jamesnrei when she came over
. -
JoseRizal: Im bet you are having fun with your kids. How was Easter? I miss going to the beach on Easter Sunday. So far si Matt pa lang ang inaalagaan ko.
I tried to get a state ID so i can have a US valid ID but ermmm they wont issue until i get a green card or an EAD. So.. i dont drive yet. Learning the ropes.

-
lorraine: As for getting SSNs, i think it depends on the local SSA's office policy about giving out SSN coz some got theirs without EAD and some didnt.
jamesnrei: Wow im happy for you. The approval of your case was fast
.JoseRizal: Do you work na?
As for my AOS and EAD:
Filed and sent it. My AOS got transferred to CSC. But the oddest thing was when i went for my biometrics. They are having trouble getting my prints. The staff said that either my prints faded or their machine sucks (#######?!). So they have to transfer me to a high definition machine and took my prints there. They said its no big deal coz if they cant match or read it, they will just send me a notice if they needed to take my prints again. They said it happens a lot ... that prints fade....and i shouldnt worry about it. To my despair, they did send me another biometrics appointment (May 14th). *sigh* Its like a months delay. But so far no RFEs.
Oh btw, no baby yet

Update:
Since i cant work and im bored like hell. Ive been tagging along Matt 24/7 hehe. Ive been going to school with him so im learning about IT security... Geeky!
~ Ive been helping him with his business so we've been driving back and forth from San Antonio to New Braunfels or Boerne or Austin. Trying to be a good wifey
.I wanted to file my AOS earlier but ermmmm cant get the recent ITR until Matt finishes his taxes. So i have to wait till march to file and send everything. Btw, i did get my SSN without my EAD. They just looked at my I-94, passport and marraige certificate. I was afraid they might say otherwise so i came prepared with an argument Lol. We needed the SSN for the tax refunds which we got btw. But the staff that catered me didnt ask any questions... she just had me fill out the standard form... checked and signed it... then told me that ill receive my card in a week by mail. When i got the SSN card in the mail, it says "valid for work only with DHS authorization".

During my interview, the CO asked me if my husband (who was my fiance at that time) met my family. No prodding after that. I didnt show pictures of him with my family... they didnt ask. It would also depend on the CO interviewing you... some nitpicks.
