  1. BTW my papers are at the embassy. Ball is in my husbands court now...

    Great news Jen!

Now it's up to you to give him a little 'motivation' to get things going on his side :P

    Best of Luck!

Aruba ... like it's been said, just take your time and check everything off the list. You will be fine and your interview will go smooooooooothly! Best wishes for ya'

    Lisa ... if I count right we are at/around 38 days :(

  2. BTW ... for those who finally got out of AP HELL ... how did you find out? Did you get a letter, email, phone call, etc? Or was it by your daily phone calls to the NVC to check on your case.

When I call to check on our case, I am always told that "we will contact you when your case is forwarded ... ". Pardon my negativity, but I don't really have a lot of faith that I will get any notice or ANY kind from the NVC when they finally let us out.

Just wondering how it went for you ...

    Steve

  3. A few of you know my story ... but to refresh, our K3 was approved and sent to the NVC. The NVC received it February 17th and promptly placed us in the wonderful world of administrative processing :(

We never received an actual approval letter (I-797C I believe) from the USCIS. We have 2 approved I-130's as well at the NVC and never received NOA2 letters for them either :bonk:

For immediate economic reasons, we are pursuing the K3. (please do not post "you should pursue the CR1 instead, it's a better visa". I've already posted in the threads why we are going K3)

We do not need this letter for the interview in Kiev ... whenever that may be ...

I contacted the USCIS and was politely told to file a I-824 (at a cost of $340 EACH) for duplicate copies of the NOA2's. I don't want any damn duplicates  I want the originals that the USCIS owes me. They have no proof they were ever mailed to me and we are fighting about that.

I guess my MAIN question here is: At what point during this whole process will I actually NEED this letter? I mean, isn't it kind of redundant? When we go to Adjust Status, or whatever else down the road, doesn't the fact that my wife has her K3 and is in this country with a K3 visa in her passport prove the fact we were approved? DUH!

Before I really stir up a hornet's nest about this, is this this something I actually have to worry about?

    Thanks for your replies

  4. *should have trademarked the "hug & run thingie*

    Hey gang! B)

Just got off one job ... have an hour of down time to clean up ... then off to do a 5 p.m. to midnight shift on the security job.

Hope everyone is having a productive/good news day. All my best thoughts and wishes to my K3 family ... thought I can't call some of you that anymore because you are going CR1 :P

  5. George Carlin said it best ... "America is already circling the toilet, we just never heard the flush"

This isn't just about Obama and the latest economic mess ... The USA has been slipping for a couple decades now ... in 50 years, we will no longer be the world power. Course I'll be dead by then ...

  6. Our relationship just happened, completely by accident ... but I had traveled to Ukraine once before to look around ...

If anyone goes to the "Mail-Order bride" card ... they get it with both barrels  ... and by the time I'm done with them, they pretty much walk away with their collective tail between their legs ...

I have many, many reasons why I feel I finally found the "right" one from Ukraine. Like it has been said, with today's technology, why limit your search to only one area ... except for all this immigration #######!

I must say some of the major changes in the culture of America had a lot to do with it. I will keep my views/reasons to myself so that I don't offend anyone here B)

Brad & Vika ... the pictures are great you two! Congratulations! I hope you two will be very happy together

  7. Oh my Steve! I will pray for you! :(

I thought that the hardest part of the process was waiting for the initial approvals. How unfortunate that the aggravation still continues!!!

Thank you ... but Jen really needs them now ... and Sarita ... I just want to get out of AP and according to most timelines, should be out of there in 3 weeks or so ...

BTW ... welcome to our little group. (F) There are some really great people here, all going through different phases of all this immigration ####### ... and all deservedly should be with their mates RIGHT NOW !!!

As you can see, you can open up here with us. This process is such a roller coaster on the emotions so brace yourself. I know everyday I am so thankful for the support and help these ladies & Que have offered since coming here. We are all in this together and if you need anything or have any questions ... ask away

  8. I agree this whole process is STUPID & FLAWED & AGGRAVATING :ranting: :ranting::ranting::protest: :protest: :protest:

I just got off the phone with the CIS. I never received NOA2's for my (2) I-130's that have already been approved OR my I-129F which is also approved. It's been a month. I will need them ... I think at least the K3 NOA2 when I go to adjust Ksenia's status. Someone with some better insight, your input is appreciated.

And guess what the nice people at the CIS told me ... I want me to file (3) I-824 forms ... at $340 each ... in order to get a simple piece of paper saying our files were approved by the CSC.

I basically told them "#### you" ... and I'm not that kind of person. It's their damn fault they didn't mail my NOA2 papers, not mine, and I'm not about to pay $1020 for their collective screw up. I didn't move ... they have the correct address on file ... I never got the papers ... put it together people

I know your frustration Jen ... 110% now. It's friggin' paperwork people, not brain surgery. But because they screw up, we are the one's that suffer. We are the ones getting totally screwed and WE are the citizens of this 'great' country. :ranting:

Sorry everybody ... I am MORE than a little ticked off right now ...

I still luv you guys (L)

  9. {HUG & RUN} :PHoping and wishing the best for everyone.

Congrats Lisa & GS on the progress you two are making

I got my AOS bill and DS-3032 back on February 27th ... but since we are going K3, I don't need them and they are just sitting in my file ...

I'm kinda burned out right now between working 70+ hours a week plus being stuck in AP, probably for at least another month, so there's nothing much to get excited about with my case :(

  10. P.S. I am loving that hug and run thing :P

Thank you ... I'm glad somebody thought it was cute

Isn't it so frustrating. Here we all were, desperately waiting for approvals and now that we finally have them ... more problems on everybody's plate.

Ladies (and Que) ... all I can say tonight is remember that "together" (I was late to the party) you all made it this far as a team. When I came to this little group, I was so impressed and touched by the support system you all had here. This "team" is still here, and I am encouraged to see all the continued warmth and support for one another.

What I'm trying to say is ... that even though many of us are facing another challenge through this immigration ####### ... we WILL make it!

I believe in each and every one of you. From missing cases to AP's ... each one of us WILL make it through this.

Be strong my friends. {HUGE HUGS} ALL AROUND! ... in all of our futures, we will be with the ones we love (F)
