Later everybody ... I'm 3 feet off the ground ... now comes the scary part ... Paranoid that we'll have everything ready :P

  2. Steve,

when did it leave nvc again? do they respon to emails there? much easier as you arent tied down to the time difference. just keep on them

    Greetings Home Slice! :P

According to sources here within VJ whose files should have left the NVC with ours ... the files were recieved in Kiev last Thursday the 9th. Nadya had emailed the embassy and received an email back pretty quickly stating "yes" their file was in Kiev.

I assumed the same for us, based on when the NVC told me the files had left for Kiev. Today I sent them an email, but since they are closed Monday for a holiday, the soonest I would hear is next Tuesday.

Ksenia called later in the day. Basically, from what I can tell of the conversation, all new files are sent to a 'call center' on Friday. However, they can be pretty slow at inputting them into THEIR system. She was told to call back on Tuesday. Since she's there obviously, I gave her the pin# info and she is going to do the calling now instead of me.

So we'll see. For several reasons, we really need our interview to be done on/around the 5th. We still have a 'little' room to budge around, but not much. So my stress level has gone up a couple points

Married2aTico ... let's get some great news from you today  Hey you - VCShell - just put the "stamp" of approval on it and send it to the NVC already !!!

Hey Wendy ... you are going to do great !!!

Caroline ... hoping and wishing for your escape from VSCHell

Sarita ... hope hubby got the job and the NVC finally did something right for your case

Wendy ... breathe and relax my friend. You will be awesome at your interview and soon you be here with husbie

Cnt ... I know some good news is coming real soon for you ;)

Jen ... have a safe trip to CR ... enjoy your time there & hope you'll get the answers you need

Que ... good luck on your trip and interview B)

GS ... as the doors open (K3), you might as well go for it ... the faster, the smoother, the better

To all those still going through whatever stage of this process you are at ... best of luck to you all

  4. Suggestions on the best way to answer this one ??? I know some of you have recently filled this out and been through an interview ...

If you check "intend", indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnish room and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in U.S. Dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, and for how long.

    Thanks !!!

  5. I had done my interview today and I am approved, after the weekend I have back my passport!

The guy only asked me 2 questions, -Where did you meet your husband and when did you marry him?... After 10 minutes I was on my back out from the embassy! They never asked for any proofs either.

Now the visa process its over for this time. Thanks VJ friends for all support! I’m going to celebrate with a weekend in the mountain and skiing. My husband come to Sweden next week and we are going to have some vacation in Scandinavia before I leave.

    Good luck friends!

    EXCELLENT NEWS !!!

A quick 'hug & run' to my crew :P

Good news for you Que

To: Lisa, Caroline, Sarita, Jen, CnT, Wendy, GS, Que ... and the rest of my K3 fam ... best of luck for today and the rest of the week ... Someone told me that our case is in Kiev, and that means I can call tomorrow to get an interview date! We are pointing to May 5th

Huge {{{ HUGS }}} to all my friends ... and may this week bring awesome news for all of you !

  8. Hi guys ... and yes it's true

I actually knew about Joe and Nadya's case before Nadya :P I happen to text Joe on his cell phone, and he had gotten off the phone like 10 minutes before with the NVC and was trying to reach Nadya! I told Joe in person, but I'll tell Nadya here ... CONGRATS NADYA!!! Very happy for you two

So it got me to thinking ... we are only a few days behind J & N ... at around 48 days ... so I called the NVC a couple hours later and received the great news ... our case was being sent to Kiev today :dance::dance:

Thanks for all the support here ... and to those new ones, just read these recent posts and take heart ... YOUR day is coming soon :thumbs:AP is not forever ... though you may sometimes wonder ... just know that you will get out of it. I would encourage anybody thrown into AP to stay in touch with this thread. It will really help you through it ... there are some really nice people here

  9. Steve,

next week dude. I'll set aside the happy dance and wait for your post that you've been released on good behavior :P

That's my west coast homie (F)

Oh course we BOTH know that the term "good behavior" is not in my vocabulary ...

Welcome to the new members. If nothing else, reading this thread will let you know that you are not alone, no it does not make any sense, but yes you will get through it ... you're in a holding pattern and there is nothing you can do until the 'tower' gives you clearance to land ...

    Good luck to all

  10. We have some active list members who should be ready to get sprung out of jail literally any day now:

For K-1, Nadiya and Joe are at day 49.

And for K-3, Ksenia and Steve are at day 45.

Here's to hoping both couples get released before the weekend!

It would sure be nice to celebrate some fresh releases :)

    Thanks bud

I'm not "feeling" it yet ... I'm pointing toward next Friday with a lot of anticipation and hope !!!

Welcome to the thread Matt & Bing. Unfortunately there is nothing TO do except wait. We've all been through OR are going through it right now. It it incredibly frustrating, so feel free to vent. We share many of the same thoughts. Especially after getting letters that our case would be forwarded to the embassy within a week ...

  11. Hello from the "original" HUG & RUN !

    Congrats Aruba !!! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Heading to my 2nd job tonight ... 5:00 p.m. until mid-night ... oh well, got my first paycheck from this part time job tonight and I now have 1/2 a plane ticket to go see my beautiful wife and have our interview ... provided the NVC get's us out of AP soon

Best wishes to everyone ... and the clock is ticking for Lisa, Cintia, Wendy ... more successful interviews, I KNOW IT!

  12. Got home today, after a 12 hour shift, and guess what I found in my mail ... 3 letters from the USCIS saying they processed my complaint about not getting NOA2 letters for my K3 and (2) I-130's.

"AS A COURTESY" ... they will be sending me "another" copy of my NOA2 letters. Isn't that just "swell" of them, considering I never got the NOA2's in the first place

Oh well. I'll just be watching my mail the next few days. I'll believe it when I see it ...
