You'll probably get the letter within a few days, and date a month or so after the date on the letter. That puts you in early November (theoretically). Congratulations!

On Oct 2, I was scheduled for interview and should have my letter within 30 days. I think, this means that my interview would be somewhere in November.

Anybody got their interview letter after being in queue for interview recently? Still waiting for my interview letter. I am hoping to have it soon so that I would know when I will have my interview and hoping to have my oath before I give birth.

I miss lechon now. Unfortunately, I have to wait for an occasion to order one here in my area in Filipino resto.

There are just some people that instead to turn the long wait to more productive way of preparing for their life together, they complain so much.
It took 17 months for me and husband to be together. It was tough but it allowed us to save for all the expenses we incurred all throughout the process and have small nice church wedding as well as something to start on as family.

Since me and my husband needed to save for our church wedding back then, we needed to do sacrifices. We didn't saw each other for 17 months after his last visit in the Philippines till I moved here.
It was a very tough. We made sure we talked everyday.

I want to wear Filipiniana wedding dress. I had the big luggage bag where I put my dress and my husband's barong. I used cardboard to protect it from wrinkles and getting ruined. I got it here just fine.

Surviving depends on two people involve on how committed they are in the relationship.
Nothing is easy but things can be done if two person involve works together harmoniously.
I am not sure what is the good statistics of how many couple survive the married life that went thru a lot of immigration process. As for my own stand view, relationship is doom to fail when either one party is weighs more in own personal interest than what's good for the relationship.
It might be too early for me to state this as we're just a little over 3 years together in our married life, but I must say that I still feels that we're newly wed and I think we survive some critical points . Now we're expecting our first little bundle of joy, things are just working fine. We've got a lot of struggles both emotional and financial like most couples do but we're working together to get thru with those circumstances. Love is there and so as care, so being selfless is not hard to do. Good communication always plays a great role towards harmonious relationship.

I am not sure if my story is inspiring enough to post as motivation.
Like most couple here, our visa process was somewhat tedious as you have to wait every single step and hoping that there’s not much problems along the way.
Then, after all the time, money and efforts to get here and be with the person you think you want to spend the rest of your life, you have to face a lot of changes personally and professionally, adjust with the social norm and learn the way of living of your new environment. It’s a lot of effort to be able to live normally like the way you live before you get here.
Many people think that once you get here, life would be all blissful, probably for others but not for me. Though, I and my husband are not considered as young couple but we’re both young enough to be able to live comfortably, financially wise. It took us almost three years of struggle to somewhat confidently plan the future of our family. But throughout the years of living together, a lot of ups and downs, a lot of financial struggles and a lot of adjustments and learning from each other, we always both concluded that we never regret that we decided to spend the rest of our lives together.
If the relationship is real, if the intentions are real, if the feelings are real and if the whole thing between you and your partner is real, whatever mushrooms of uncertainties come up in your life, you should be able to overcome it as you don’t expect anything but accept and work it out together.

Not exactly, but told him that I should I go to St. Lukes for vaccination which usually means that culture is negative.

I remembered my husband called St. Lukes a week before they told us to call them and we got the result. So, by next day, I went and finish my medical.

Sorry, it's usually two months waiting. Getting call after almost 15 days is sign of positive.

We're living here in Missouri and move to new neighborhood, don't have problem with our neighbors. They are nice and helpful. You can't blame the people in the place you're living. It's more on your husband's family. Just know your rights as wife and speak out when you need to. Let them prove your innocence.

If you want to know about 4-way stops, the person who gets there first is meant to go first, and if two cars get there at the same time, the person on the right is meant to go first. Of course, I don't think many drivers remember this from Drivers Ed; my hometown had a lot of these and many people are too interested in being polite so it's a stalemate. Lots of waving indicating "You go first," "No you," "No, I insist." etc.I am not too polite. If I stop first, I go first. LoL. I hate people driving below minimum speed esp. when I go to work.

She needs to take written and eye exam to get learner's permit. After she gets the learner's permit and she can get driving test. Go to your local department of motor vehicle, pay fee and let her takes exam, if she already know how to drive, she can have her driver's license in a day.

I think its also depends on the company. When I was asked for the salary before, it was 20k lower than what they gave me. I checked the salary range of my job and state, I was offered 10k above the average. I think they are being fair and I am glad that they went for the fair salary range than what I asked for because I was trying to be too conservative and didn't check the salary range of the area I am working before giving my numbers.
You can ask for a review and re-negotiate your salary. If your re-negotiation didn't work and it's bugging you, you can start finding new work place since you have US work experience.
