  1. I wonder what makes you keep busy guys while waiting for the result of our petition. Basically, I did make myself busy long time since I met my Bebe ko because missing him is hard to handle and practicality have more essence. Although, I am working, I just feel that it is not enough to keep me so busy. So, I enrolled for graduate studies. Right now, the semester just ended and I am thinking of the topic for my thesis proposal. When the time our petition will get approval and processing all the papers, it is enough for me to finish the whole semester.

    Me and my Bebe ko are just so excited in planning things for the wedding but can't do all specially that most of it are time dependent.

  2. For now, we are planning a little bit of everything. But I already bought a court dress because I might be busy in succeeding months and I might forget about it. :lol: We also have tentative church wedding date and we are going to finalize it as soon as I get to my fiance's place. Some sort of suggestions from my fiance's family and mine. B) I can't decide yet if I am going to buy my wedding dress here or in US. Then, I have to finalize the design I made for our wedding ring. That's all we have done for now. (Kinda excited... hehehe...) :P

  3. Hi there,

    To start with, we got the whole I-129 package yesterday. It was returned due to the wrong filing address. We used the address USCIS PO Box 804616, Chicago, IL 60680-4107 when we mailed it so we have to start the process all over again and we hope that we could mail it by tomorrow. Our question is "should we use the address indicated in the I-797C Receipt Notice of the I-130?" The address indicated there is USCIS-Vermont Service Cntr 75 Lower Welden ST, St Albans, VT 05479.

    Hoping for your response.

    If you are in IL, then it should be CSC not VSC. You can check it in USCIS.

  4. HEY we recieved our RFE today and apparently they would like us to send pictures with dates on them?? I have dated pictures but they are from our most recent trip which we were taken after we filed for k1.( the pictures are of us at landmarks etc.) I have a picture of our first meeting of me my fiance and my dad but no date on it, have lots of pictures of us together but no dates??? HELP...what should we do? Who prints pictures out with dates on them these days? lol Our first few times we never knew about all this visa stuff therefore didnt think of any of this! PLease any advice would be much appreciated!

    Emmmm :unsure:

    Our pictures too didn't have dates because I forgot to set my camera before, to stamp dates. But then, what we did, in computers if you saved it right away, it will show when was the picture taken. You can point the mouse cursor to let the dates appear, then press key "PrtSc", paste it in microsoft word. Make it sure when you print it, the dates are clear (usually it is...) The dates are not that easily manipulated, so I guess that would makes it valid.

  5. I wish I can travel too, and see my bebe ko because December is his busiest month for work and I only have vacation leave during yuletide season. I did make an attempt to get tourist visa last year, but unfortunately they denied me for that kind of visa. Insufficient assurance that I will be back here in the Philippines was their reason. I'm not convinced with their reason because they didn't even bother to see my proof of stability, but who am I to object anyway.

    This year, I suggest that he'll just save the money he's gonna spend to visit me again for our church wedding. It's kinda expensive in US. I have the budget to see him this coming holiday season, but I doubt if they will give me tourist visa. I will just keep myself busy while waiting for the approval of our petition. Anyway, I need to settle first my graduate studies, on how I can transfer in US as well as I need to prepare everything in work before I leave.

  6. hi to all VJ's people im just curious about the photo that i send to my fiancee to send in USCIS.the photo i send him have a blue background on it.then wen i read it today for the instruction for the photo that i send to my fiancee need to have white background on it.the question is the photo that i send to my fiancee with blue background wud be fine?is not a problem to be delay with my fiancee approvel to the petition? :bonk: hope i can have rply soon to my family in VJ's thanks in advance for rply i appreciate it...God bless to all

    I am not sure but as what I read in some other cases, they are kinda strict with photos. They might send you RFE. You can go to "Kodak", just tell them you need US passport size photo. I guess, they are trained with the guidelines of taking US passport size photo because they are so aware how it should be done.

  7. I got engaged last year. But me and my hunny wanted to follow the rules, it says that filing of fiance visa should be after 2 years of first meeting. But last year, prior to our engagement, we already wanted to file but it wasn't yet 2 years as the rules stated. Sheesh! We waited until September 8, 2008 so that we can officially file a petition.

    I guess, the relationship become stronger when it undergoes some sort of hardship. Just hold on and pray for the best. Anyway when we get our visa and be with our love ones, it is worth for all the waiting.

    :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

    :oops: I might be wrong but my reading of the petition application documentation is that you have to show the proof that you've met each other within last two years and not that you need to have known each other for that long. And if I'm right, you've waited to file you petition needlessly.

    On the other hand, as you said, it helped you strengthen your relationship.

    Good luck to you on your onward visa journey.

    :D I am not so sure... but I guess you're right.... we've met Sept 2006.

  8. Hey K1 guys. This may sound serious and i hate drama sometimes, but are you guys really ready to be married as in seriously? How can you say that you are ready to be married? This will be my first time to be married and honestly, i am scared and nervous to death..do you feel the same?

    You will not let your self get engage in the first place if you are not ready. Being ready means you accept not just the better but also the worst scenario of married life. There are several reasons why a person wanted to get married. Two major reasons are love and money. Why do you feel scared and nervous to death if your reason to get married is love, unless otherwise is the other one.

  9. Yeppers!.... we need to settle everything before moving. I don't have properties need to be sold before I go but I need to present a thesis topic for my graduate studies before I leave, so that I can finish it, just on time that they will allow me to go back here in my country. I can't wait to stay with my hunny, two years of long-distance relationship is kinda hard and it isn't a joke. My career can wait. :lol: No amount of achievements can replace the happiness I feel with my hunny. :luv::D

    I agree with y'all. Nothing like happiness. Career and school lol they dont matter unless you're with your person =p. Wish I could be as patient as you all. This thing seems to be taking so long. My mom has cancer and I was hoping to get married and all so she could see it but idk now looking at the wait times =(. So just sitting here alone nothing to do but hit the refresh page in hopes that your application was touched. Or maybe thats just me lol

  11. I am not really in hurry because I have so many things to settle in work and in my school. But then, of course, I want things to be fast. Sheesh! It's been so long since the last time my bebe ko.

    Anyway, let's just all pray that they will process our petitions faster than the usual. :whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

  12. Hey "Chuck and Grace"!

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You've got a good point in your response to my question. Me and my fiance are both engineers, then our age difference is just two years, I am 26 and he is 28, he is not ugly, just a bit chubby but I guess his weight is still normal in US preference, and I feel chubby too. Seems... perfect right? But when some people learn how we met, they were like "oh, really?... maybe I can look a partner too in internet." Well, it is kinda offending for me because the implication of their reaction is that they don't believe on the seriousness of my relationship. I don't reply on them because I feel that I don't owe them any explanation. For me, it's not everyday that I will meet someone as equal as I am.

    Anyway, I am just wondering, if some people still judge me, despite of how compatible me and my fiance physically, how much more those couple you have mention (old and young, pretty and ugly) ?... tsk!... tsk!... tsk! Maybe, its a simple reason that "you can't please everybody" or maybe it is true that it's just a mere visa thing and it shows. :lol:

    ;):D This is just for the sake of conversation here.

    GOOD LUCK TO ALL SEPTEMBER 2008 FILERS!

  13. Hello Guys!

    It's been like my past time after I finish my school paper or during the break time in my work, I visit this site. I might be too paranoid but it's nice to know that besides me and my bebe ko, many couple like us are waiting for the progress. I am being patient but I want to be in track on what should do time to time.

    Anyway, does anybody here experience discrimination from the other people because you have foreign fiance and you meet him/her in this kind of communication? :) I just want to know and get your opinion. This is just for the sake of conversation

    :ot::lol::P:bonk:
