I think this lady wanted us to tell her what she wanted to hear. Since she didn't hear what she wanted she got offensive.
If you already made up your mind and you are staying with the guy, why do you say that you are done and want to withdraw the petition? People are trying to help and give good advice, if you don't want it, don't ask.

I had the same problem. I had a vaccination record from the American Clinic in Moscow where I had my medical. It was in English. But when I presented it at AOS interview they said that I had to go to a Civil Surgeon as it needs to be a special form. So we had to go to one of them and they just transferred my vaccination to a special form. Just do it before the interview, it only takes 10 minutes.

Well, it is good news, isn't it.

Wow, after reading your stories I start really appreciate that my journey was pretty smooth.
-
That's just not right.

Walgreens international calling cards are not bad. For 10 bucks you get 2 hours.
-
We all feel for you.
-
That's a mess.

That's not good news.

This spring will be long for you, moonhunt, but every day will bring you closer.
Any news anyone?
-
Moonhunt, good luck with your wife's journey! Hope she will join you in the US this spring.
-
And now we are just waiting for 2 more oath letters. Spring is almost here!

I don't want to lose my registration in Moscow. I am still registered in my mom's apartment and there is no way I am going to give this up.

Let me share my experience in the field. I have master's degree in linguistics and I taught college in Moscow while being a translator for an oil company. I speak 3 languages (including Spanish).
I had VERY hard time looking for a job. In order to be a teacher you need to be certified to teach and the only way to do it is to go back to school. Another 4 years of college. I was told I had to take Russian classes taught by an American professor! That's ridiculous.
Russian departments are not really big in the universities and there are plenty of candidates for those few jobs available.
Being a translator is an option. BUT! Many people believe you need just to speak a foregin language to be able to translate. WRONG. I spent 7 years studying translating and interpreting and there are a lot of things you need to know before becoming a good translator.
Let her try anyway. Maybe she will get luckier than me.

It varies from state to state. Call your local DMV. I could drive for 6 months with my international driving license in Kansas. I didn't have to do it as I got my DL in 2 months after coming to the US but it was before they changed the DL application procedures.

Congrats!!!!

Great news, congrats!
Kingsilva, I have a feling you will get your letter this month.

Independence, MO is one of the ugliest places I have ever been. My mother-in-law lives there whihc makes it even uglier.
-
Zales have pretty good prices.
-
And do you think it is easy to get quality health care now? My mother-in-law is disabled and old and she can't go to a good doctor of her choice and medicare doesn't even cover an MRI.
It isn't that the system is working perfectly now. Actually it sucks and needs to be fully reformed.

It is a busy week, 2 oath ceremonies and 1 interview. The last interview among July filers.
-
Correct me if I am wrong but you just need to make an infopass appointment and go to get an extension stamp.
If your AOS is still pending, you need to have a stamp anyway which extends your status in the US.

I know this could go in the surveys section but then I'd have to make up answers for you to pick!
- How long did it take you to get pregnant the first time? Days? Weeks? Months? Years?
- When did you first suspect that you might be pregnant? What tipped you off?
- When were you pretty sure? What did very early pregnancy feel like to you? Any different?
- How soon did you take an actual pregnancy test and get a definite answer? How many tests did you take? lol
- Did you have the traditional pregnancy symptoms? eg. morning sickness. When did it kick in?
1. Just one try
2. I didn't suspect anything
3. After the test. I took 2, both were VERY positive
4. I took 2 tests when I had 10 days delay.
5. I had a terrible morning sickness that kept me in bed for 2 months. And pretty much everything else except for back pain.
But it wa so worth it. My Mason is the best!

Just go and renew your EAD.
What are the ways of meeting your significant other?

He came to the trade show to Moscow and I was his translator. Let me tell you, it was quite a trade show. He didn't get many new customers but he did get a wife.
I guess i can say I am married to my work.
