  1. Greetings! Way before pandemic, it only took 6 months from initial filing to the day of interview (Philippines), but currently due to backlogs it will take longer.
  2. - I do not understand of why they could not prove their sibling relationship using their original birth certificates that clearly shows at least one common parent. - And if they changed their names in their country of origin, it will still be the same, only it has an annotation, (of their new names) and still show that they have at least one common parent.
  3. Birth certificates of the three of them, then a proof of name change.
  4. Greetings! REFERENCE: Petition for Alien Relative | USCIS
  5. Aw! Thanks, Chancy, and yes if it is cheaper back home and yes get it. Varicella shot for example is $210.00 in the USA, if you do not have an insurance.
  6. Hello! please read the following post. reference:
  7. But why spend when it is included in the medical fee? at least in the Philippines, I am not so sure in other countries.
  8. Hi again, And before I even submitted everything for my passport application, I quickly took a photo of my certificate, in case it gets lost I have evidence, plus I got something to look while throwing the rest of my documents when i got home. No more documents.
  9. Greetings! Back in the days, I planned everything, that as soon as the ceremony is done, I will simply apply a US passport and upgrade SSA status, but there were so many applicants and the queue were lengthy, so we decided to just go to the SSA office to upgrade my status and it only took less than 10 minutes, then we headed to apply at the post office for my passport. I already prepared and filled the form, photos and fees prior to the ceremony. It went smoothly. NG
  10. Greetings! Does purchasing a plane ticket here in the USA via a travel agency online, like for ex. Expedia, is okay without a problem? Like I tried purchasing tickets many times via Expedia but never tried buying through here for someone in the Philippines. Where did you purchase your tickets? Thanks.
  11. Call CFO if PDOS will be allowed without the visa as I know that last Sept.3, 2023 they announced that they will no longer allow GCP attendees without a visa. but I am not sure with PDOS.

    PDOS

Greetings! If you look at CFO's FB, (so it is faster, go to all their photos and you can see the announcement dated Sept 3, 2023.) An announcement that they will no longer allow anyone that will take GCP without the visa. Goodluck!
  13. Greetings! So, after my brother got his visa last Sept. 11,2023, they secure a slot online for PDOS in Cebu City, the earliest one was Sept. 25,2023 which is from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, they choose the physical seminar and not the one online. So, I am not sure of how many slots are available online. They said that online is like a webinar using zoom. They had to register first online, and prior to registering please make sure that you have an active email address as they will send you the confirmation prior to proceeding. It simply asks details about your petitioner, yourself information. It will ask you to download passport bio page, visa, Government issued ID. IT USED T OASK IMMIGRATION DATE SUMARRY, BUT SINCE IT IS DIGITAL, THEY KNOW THAT IT IS NOT GIVEN AT THE EMBASSY ANY LONGER. What i want you to call them is ask if they allow PDOS training in advance without the visa.so that way you can do it and just get the certificate when you visa is ready to save some time especially in your case. Ask them as counseling for they do not allow it any longer that without the visa.
  14. Hello, I think the best way for you to find it out is search online to any travel agency. As soon as you put the country where you are coming from then your destination, it will tell you all the routes that are available either direct which is more expensive or the route the has a lot of stop overs which is usually cheaper.
  15. Hello! September 12,2023: During picking up his parcel, I asked him to check for correctness so that if there are errors like misspellings or if the dates are off it can be sent back right away while they are still at LBC office, but thanks God! everything checked out okay. In this day we accomplished three things, the second one is paying the immigration fee bill of $220.00. And the third one was that we were able to register him online for PDOS (Pre departure seminar) at CFO, office, And Wow! the earliest and one slot available was September 25, 2023. Next will be flight searching. Thank you, Chancy, as you were able to help me decide with that confusing important thing that I needed to do during the processing of this visa. When you suggested that we can just download documents under other documents of the petitioner. Even if my heart was crashed when he was asked to produce a document that does not existed. God bless!
  16. Hello! September 12,2023 Brother picked up his parcel, no more packet, just only his passport, Visa has IV documents on CCD, meaning electronic. So, now must pay $220.00 then flight.
  17. September 8,2023: LBC emailed all the details and informing my brother that he will receive his visa on or before Sept .14, 2023. September 9,2023: Parcel Enroute to Cebu. September 10, 2023: Sunday September 11, 2023: Monday, Visa ready for pick up, Yepee!
  18. Hello again, So, you guys don't think that any immigration or CBP at your port entry will not have access to the records of all entries and exits under your name? I thought as a green card holder you have to maintain your residency.
  19. Hello! I think your mom needs to be member and have her own profile and add her timeline.
  20. Greetings! 21. Hi! Please excuse the typos and all the errors.
  22. Hell again, I really hope that you can secure an appointment, as you still have a lot of things to do after the interview. you have to attend PDOS (pre departure seminar), flight booking .in a month's time has less choices and prices are high. Pray that everything will be okay. Best regards, NG
  23. Hello, My understanding is that all tourist visas should have an individual interview appointment. The immigrant on the other hand is different. For example, my sibling who is an F2B beneficiary, he has a choice for her daughter to accompany him with this trip or to join later. If he chooses the first one, then during the interview her daughter can join him, but if her daughter joins him on the later date then she has a different appointment interview date. Or for example my friend was hired as a nurse, her husband and children was with her during her interview. note: A minor child can be accompanied during the interview.
