    kidding. Anyone here from Lahore? tell me where can I buy a nice sherwani in Pakistan? would the answer be Lahore or Rawalpindi? Please let me know the store location etc as well so I can make it easier on myself. Thanks. Love and Respects.

    I am from Islamabad and yes you can find some really cool stuff in Rawalpindi but I will tell you that I some how came cross reading online about a designer in Lahore. I contacted him for my baby brother's wedding Sharwani. He charged me just about as much as regular sharwani would cost. ( a sharwani costs anywhere from 20,000 to 30,000 on average) but he designed a sharwani just how I wanted it to be for my brother. He takes about 2 weeks to design one, but he also has some already made stuff too. I was very impress with his work.

    I wouldn't advice ordering online. I think he also has a shop in Lahore Pakistan. You can always visit him there too.

    My predication was true; the interview for us is exactly 21 days after the day interview letter was issued. Therefore plan accordingly.

    Ummm... not sure if you are asking a question or just telling me that my perdiction was wrong.

    If you are asking the question if all males get AP, then I don't have an answer for that but I have usually read on VJ that they do get an AP.

    but if you are suggesting that my perdiction was wrong then i am pasting one of my earlier posts.

    We sent our letter on Feb 28th and recieved the interiew date yesterday. They usually give you an interview 3 weeks after you recieve your letter. So my guess is that your interview date should be in between April 5 to April 15.

    Also remember that they don't give your passport on the spot. They take about 2 weeks to provide you the passport with your visa on it. According to most timeline at VJ, your visa should be in your hand around the last week of April. good luck and i hope everything works out for you.

    oh is that right? ummm I did not know that. Thanks for letting me know fellows and please do keep me in your prayers. I have sent tons of stuff to my fiancee already to prove that we are engaged and our relationship is ongoing. Give me little heads up on the fees (Medical fees and visa fees) whatever else fees that will need to be paid. Thanks

    Sorry, going thru a ruff time .... thats why dont feel like posting much ! :( Anyways, not sure bout the Medical fees( I think she paid 6 or 7 thousand rupees) As for the Visa fees, she had to pay 131$.

    She sent me a text message last night that she recieved the letter but i will call her today to find out the date. However; i have been following plenty of VJ timelines and it is usually 3 weeks after the letter arrives.

    On a diffrent note, i pray that things get better for you. keep in touch and let me know if i can help. i really would like to see you two make up and live a happy life.

    Cheapest tickets to Pakistan? Emirates is selling it for 1571 (including taxes and everything) and the fun part is its straight to Dubai and then straight to Pakistan 24 hour flight. I want to know if there is anywhere I can find more cheaper. I don't mind stops and stay. winx

    I have recently flown with Qatar airways to Pakistan. I really liked it. I was home in 20 hours (from DC to Islamabad). i remember paying about $1,450.00 for it.

    Hello Augusters,

    I am here to tell you that, Irum and I have finally put together the packet 3 and sent it off this morning to Islamabad embassy. Please pray from here on!!!

    I am afraid of what i have been reading about the credit card dissmissle thing. I have had some judgements against me during my school years. I was young and dum but it was like in 2003, i hope they don't hold that against me. Those things have been satasfied a long time ago.

    I use Raza.com to call Paki-land and I am very satisfied with their services. I get about 1 hour for every $5 but it is worth it because there are no connection fees.

    For example, if you talk for 10 minutes and 23 seconds. They will only take off 10 minutes and 23 seconds, unlike like some phone cards where they take of 20 to 30 minutes just because the call dropped.

    Try Raza.com. I have been using it for 3 years. I have no complains.

    It is much cheaper to call from pakistan. So I would send the money and have them call you from Paki-land.

    I just called DOS again & this guy answered the phone & he said what I didn't wanna hear. He said your fiance is on AP. I am devastated. :blush: With the way things are b/w me and her, I dont think our relationship will last if she is indeed on AP.

    WooW, I just read this. what happened? This is crazy. I thought they told you, you were approved then where did this AP come from? Did this DOS really know what he was talking about? Maybe he just wanted you off the phone or something.

    I really think you should get something in writing, so write to them and try to get a reply back.

    must be an umbrella over my head...I can't seem to get a visa to touch me. I've given up, though. Tired of waiting for something that likely isn't going to happen.

    I can understand how annoying :angry: it can be... but i want you to know that I pray everyday for all my August buddies to get through this process quickly. You time is comming. Hang in there. :thumbs: We'll get through this!

    Just send in a copy of the passport every page from front to back and take the passport with you to the interview cause you will need your passport for the medical and you have to schedule the medical prior to the interview.

    No. Just a copy.

    But They are asking for the passport in the packet 3. What should I do, Now I am confused. They are asking for the passport, if I only send the copy, Can they delay our case? :unsure:

    What would be our reason of not sending the passport? It's just a pakitani passport, i don't think anyone wants it. :rofl:

    Please let us know, what we should do, we are getting ready to send the packet tomrrow.
