Thank you both!

I wonder if there is any way to find out if there is going to be an oath ceremony on the day of my interview. On the USCIS website it says that Charlotte office officiates same day ceremonies; but how do I find out which day of the week?

I'm not sure about Charlotte, but according to the officer that interviewed me, they only have N400 interviews once a month in Denver and they almost always have oath ceremonies that same day later in the afternoon. My interview was at 10:45, and the oath ceremony was at 1:30. There were 65 of us in total, and I recognized a lot of those people from the waiting room that morning.

I brought my USC husband (then fiance) to the interview. He was allowed in the interview room. But a lot of others don't bring their spouse, and that's OK to. They're there to interview you, not him.

Added my in line date

After you file and you go to your biometrics appointment, they give you a book and a CD with the 100 questions to study. That's all I'm going to use, its not hard stuff!

Congrats on the new babies! My baby is about to turn 3 next month, I can't believe it. Might be time for another one I guess

I had to call them and tell them 3 times before they stopped sending me checks. Eventually it worked!

After 6 years in the US, I finally filled my N-400 this week. Looking forward to hanging out here again after a long absence. Wish me luck!

Hey gals! I haven't been around for a while but wanted to check in and see how all the pregnancies are going. Sounds like everyone is progressing well!

Baby Ally is going to be 10 months on the 22nd. It goes SO FAST. Enjoy every second. She's just a hyper little bug, crawls and scoots around everywhere and gets into everything. But she's so fun and really talkative... she doesn't stop!

I found Ally's ped by looking around online and reading reviews. He's really good. Sometimes overcautious, but that's better than someone who is passive and doesn't care.

Marilyn, glad to hear you may be able to do your 3D ultrasound locally rather than having to make a trek.

VeeNDee, I hope your AOS gets approved to. I know when my DH got his approval it was a great stress relief.

AFM, yesterday I had my first ultrasound of my babies. Yep, that's right babies! I am having TWINS! Two little strong heart beats pounding away. I am humbled and in awe that I am growing two little humans. Dry heave vomited this morning caused by trying to cough up phlegm brought on by allergies that I can't do anything about because anti-histamines are a no no in pregnancy.

DH is so excited! He is telling everyone. I am bit more reserved however. A couple more weeks before I get too talky talky with people about my pregnancy.

I really wanted to breastfeed Ally, but it didn't work out. I didn't produce enough. I tried everything from dietary changes to herbal supplements and special tea, but nothing worked. I tried pumping and still got very little. I had to feed her hourly and she still wasn't satisfied. At 6 weeks I started supplementing with formula, and she wanted nothing but the bottle after that. As expensive as formula is, I'm happy to spend the money then go through that misery! Its a good experience for some, but for me it was awful.

Even with the cost of childcare, formula and diapers, I actually seem to have more money now. We rarely go out anymore, and that has offset the baby costs. I was worried about it when I was prego, but things seem to have a way of working out.

Just curious, have any of you considered seeing a chiropractor for back pain during pregnancy? My ob/gyn said it should be okay but I am still a bit leery of it. I am guessing you need to be careful to get someone who knows what to do and not do during pregnancy?

No, but I wish I did. I had back pain during the whole pregnancy, and it only gets worse. Come week 36 I had a hard time. There are chiropractors that masseuses that specialize in prenatal care, and they say the earlier you start the more effective it is. I waited too long and there wasn't much they could help with.

Wow! It's crazy how pregnancy happens in groups

When I was 11 weeks I got this awful flu and threw up every 15 minutes for like 5 hours. It was insane. I never get sick and never throw up, so I was naturally freaking out. I called the doctor several times... they said that it wouldn't hurt the baby as long as I kept hydrated, and she was fine. They suggested Gatorade if you're having a hard time keeping stuff down. Ally liked it, so I drank it a lot during my whole pregnancy. The nausea goes away, and you'll forget about it pretty quickly.

Passport pictures for a baby aren't really that hard, I was worried about it too. We got Ally's US passport when she was 3 months and the post office had a special seat for her to lay back in for the picture, like a car seat. It was easy.

I've been dragging my feet applying for her Canadian citizenship cert, but I'm not in a big hurry. I won't get her a Canadian passport until she's older because maintaining them both would be a pain and really unnecessary in my opinion.

we had our first US yesterday. My husband got to go with me. He was surprised that the baby was moving around so much.. So I am 11 weeks and my due date is September 30th.

a lot of foods that I usually love to eat make me feel sick to my stomach just thinking of them. Like grilled food and Mexican food

Awww! That was my original due date! Baby Ally came a little early. I can't believe she is going to be 6 months next week! It goes by so crazy fast.

Wow its been that long already 2.5? seems like only yesterday you had her ! I'm sure it wont be long before you more, and hey at least this time around you guys get to be together for the whole process on the Canada side.

Hubby and i have not told anyone yet. We are not sure when we should. I don't mind if anyone knows, but i think i'd rather wait til i'm feeling better, especially since this is our first and i'm kinda nervous.

Mine went away after 3. It sucks, but it goes by fast. I got through it eating saltines and drinking water. Doctor said no matter how hard it is, always try to have something in your stomach... so crackers were it. And I haven't had a cracker since!

I blurted out to everyone when I found out. At first, we thought we would wait a little while, and it lasted like 3 days. I just couldn't help myself. But a lot of couples wait until they hit the 12 week mark since the chance of a miscarriage goes down significantly.

I know a lot of people 35+ who had babies in the last couple years, and they all turned out great. It seems like 39 is the new 29 when it comes to having kids. I'm 25 and when I was prego I got a lot of comments on how young I was to be having a baby. I thought that was so silly!

I was really queasy for a good 3 months, and only threw up twice.. while brushing my teeth Seriously, watch the depth of that toothbrush.

Wait for the food cravings! Mine were fried potatoes, ice cream and cheese strings.

Kimbear, I would definitely take a test! I had very similar symptoms when I was first pregnant. Bill kept saying, "that's a sign of pregnancy!" but I kept ignoring him. Weird things made me queasy, I was tired, I kept getting headaches, I could not touch coffee or chocolate it grossed me out, and emotional... especially angry. Angry was my main emotion all 9 months

I also had cramps in my lower abdomen which I thought were period cramps but nope!

They didn't leave a number! How weird is that? I didn't notice until I listened to it again today. I'm not calling unless they call me back and leave some legit information. I'm pretty darn sure I don't owe them money. They sent me a small refund when I filled my exit return a few years back. I sent back the GST checks they issued in error and confirmed receipt. This was over 3 years ago. I haven't had any contact with them since then. They have my current address, and no letters. Seems weird!

Hey all!

I got home from work and had a message from someone with the Canadian Revenue Agency. It doesn't say what they want, just that I need to call them as soon as possible. Of course, they're now closed for the day. They also said to reference my "customer number." Any clue what that is? If I once had a customer number with the CRA it's long forgotten.

I haven't lived in Canada for almost 4 years now, any idea what this could be about? Has this happened to anyone else?

well, I guess I can join this thread. We found out I was pregnant last weekend. It was a shock to us because we were kind of putting it on hold til after we move at the end of this month.

It isn't official because I haven't seen the doctor yet but I figured 3 pregnancy tests wouldn't lie to me..
