I have rental property and have gone through this. A lease is a binding contract the tenant must pay the full rent to the end of the lease. Now they can ask to be let out of the lease early but must give you a certain amount of notice. They will be liable though for the expenses that you incur to find another tenant and the new tenant will have to go through the screening process that you choose to do. After a successful tenant has agreed to rent and move in then the old tenant has to move out and the abode is cleaned and ready for the new tenant and the new tenant moves in under the new lease. Then and only then give up the deposit minus the deductions that cost you. If no new tenant can be found then the old tenant has to keep paying the rent.
Also you do not have to let them out of the lease at all and the tenant is bound by the lease but you will have to sue them but that is not hard to do as I have done it myself several times successfully. One tenant has even tried to sue me and lost. Of course this is in the state of Texas and the laws may be different where you live. Texas is very strong on contracts.
I always ask for and receive the first and last month and a deposit upfront. I have someone that does a background check and checks all references. The prospective tenant pays for it of course.

this is nothing new,i remember our theology teacher telling us that at school,its ok for a mother to hit a child or a husband to hit a wife ( seems like they are equally immature in the eyes of Islamic law )as long as there is no blood or bruise.

I used to have to go to Canada a lot and every time I came back into the states the patrol were always rude but I learned to expect it. I just answer back in the same vein. They can't exactly deny me reentry even though they may want to.
I have noticed for the past couple of years though that the inland checkpoints that I have to go through that the patrols are getting ruder and more intrusive. They have even asked the last few times for permission to look into my truck. I just say NO unless they have a reason. If you want to talk about the stories in the old testament to get away from talking about how disgusting Muhammad was then I understand why you are trying to deflect the topic as I would too. We can have enough to have two separate threads about the founders of the two religions.
We can also have a thread about the stories in the bible that showed how disgusting the Jews were at times to separate even further from the two founders as the stories came before Jesus and has no bearing on our religion and then we can also go into detail about the historical stories of Islam before Muhammad to compare everything in a historical context. I would be interested to see all the disgusting things that Jesus has done and compare them to the disgusting things that Muhammad has done since these are the founders of our two religions.

That's why Catholics believe in Purgatory. Being truly sorry for the wrong one has done is just the first step. They must go through a process of redemption.

I am just wondering who "everyone" is? I agree many people don't even know about their own religions, Christians included. I personally don't have a problem with the Old Testament. To me it's part of the entire story of the need for redemption. When David wanted Bathsheba and secretly planned for her husband to be killed in battle, it was in no way condoned and he was rebuked and punished for it. It was despicable and a prophet went and confronted him about it. He repented but couldn't change the fact that damage had been done. I am glad such stories are in the bible for various reasons. 1-to show mankind at it's best and worst, 2- to make people understand that their own mistakes are not above forgiveness.

When the Nobel committee gives out the award to undeserving people then don't be surprised when they become meaningless.
