Hope you get yours soon, I felt the same way when a lot of February filers got theirs but surprisingly they decided to scheduled mine too, another factor is the state your are in. Some states are way faster. Best of luck for us and to all those waiting.

I walked in the Brooklyn field office at 26 Federal Plaza this morning for the interview. The wait was long, almost 1 and a half hour. The interview itself was simple and straightforward. The IO was very nice. First, she asked if I wanted to provide more evidence. So I gave her our most recent tax return. Then she asked me some questions, mostly to verify the information from my application. Finally I was asked to do the civic test, which included answering 6 questions, reading one sentence and write 2 sentences. The IO then congratulated me on passing the test and informed me that a letter about the oath ceremony would be sent to me by the end of this month. Good luck to those of you who are waiting for the interview!

If you reside in Brooklyn your field office is Brooklyn. It's just confusing in that the Brooklyn field office is located in Manhattan. All three field offices for residents of NYC (New York City, Queens, Brooklyn) are located in the same building in Manhattan but they are function separately in terms of applications. And all three are overloaded. Brooklyn's updated processing time range is 14-21 which is about as appalling as the NYC office (13.5 to 25 months).

    Hey!
I filed at the end of December, my priority date is December 31st... I need to go do my biometrics on January 30th. I live in Queens :).
So logically you should get your biometrics appointment for early-mid February.
Anyone else here who recently filed in NYC?

Polis reacted to *Snowdrop* in I-Visa (journalist) vs. B1- which one has less troubles
The media company who is sending them is usually paying them their regular salary plus expenses. My former employer would arrange for an apartment and transport costs to be covered for long assignments - 3+ months. For shorter assignments, you have a daily expenses rate to cover hotels and also extra for daily meals - based on the idea that you have to pay more for food when living out of a hotel. All transport, equipment and operational needs costs connected to the assignment are paid by the media organization you represent. Some companies give you extra money for late or very early hours work too - which if you are sent over to cover a breaking news story like a disaster such as a hurricane etc you will need as you'll be working long intense days over a short period of time.

I-visas aren't for living in the US - they are for covering a specific assignment and it is only for foreign news outlets.

When I had my I-visa in my passport and I was visiting my boyfriend I was told each time to make sure I didn't do any work because I had entered under the VWP and not declared my work and entered under the I-visa.
