  1. For what it is worth...I agree with Got Charmed. I was divorced once(American Woman) as well... but if you have doubts now about failure, I don't see counseling working. This is the one opportunity to look for everything you want in a relationship, and yes there will be hard times, but that is different than having doubts up front. PM if you want to know why I feel this.

  2. Subguy, we'll be in Daytona Beach visiting family. Sort of a vacation, sort of not :).

    We voted for little Ryan!

Very cool...take time to head a little south and go to New Smyrna( I enjoy driving on Smyrna) and then head to Ponce Inlet to see the lighthouse etc, the beach there is nice as well....I can supply you with some good places to eat if you want.

  3. I would be safe rather than sorry and have her get the paper...it may take some work but why give any reason for them to say no or extend this process? Alexandra had her 20 hour round trip bus ride, but at the end it was successful. The end result kind of makes it worth the grief of tracking down the paper. But then again she may not need it

  4. LOL! Guess what? i finally got the noa2 approval email from CRIS! lolol. i just checked my inbox:

  5. Alot of great wedding pics. It's cool to see where everyone is 1 year later (almost).

Thanks for everyone's comments about our photos, I appreciate that

It did not dawn on me until you made that, (almost) 1 year later, comment.....WOW freakin' time flies!!!

Now I really need to work on the AOS stuff...I have noticed alot of you have already completed it...I hope everyone is up to the questions I am sure I will have a few

  6. Just a quick note to say HI....also to let you all know our wedding is this Saturday. All is ready....Publix cake included. I guess it is time to start AOS stuff. As far as insurance when I joined the ranks of the unemployed I lost insurance, but I have been checking out a plan for both of us...Assurant was one of the companies and in Florida something called Florida Blue(i think) it is like a Blue Cross plan.

  7. Dillan.......here is a translator for you

    Geovanny Antonio Rengifo

His telephone number is 572-315-7055 his cell 314-661-3296 his email is rengifog@telesat.com.co

    Hi,

Does anyone know of a good certified translator for Spanish to English in Cali?

    Thanks in advance.

FYI: I tried to add my timeline for the second time. I'm not sure if I succeeded.

  8. I think it is cool you guys are already into your AOS...I am generally on top of these things but have been preparing for the wedding and such. We obviously waited awhile after she arrived to marry. I need to have my ducks in a row on the AOS stuff so immediately following the wedding I will have time to concentrate on this stuff. I was so ####### about my K1 paperwork and everything went so smoothly at the embassy they passed it through the window to me before we started the interview and never ask for anything additional that we brought. So I need to spend time on this and hope it goes as well.

I saw an earlier post about info to take to the interview, and with reagards to tax returns I also brought three years. It would stink to not have enough info, if we brought all we had I figured there was nothing else to ask for. The other thing that appears to differ from embassy to embassy is if both parties need to be there. It is becoming more increasingly important in South America and they are sending some folks away telling them to come back when their SO can be there.

One question for you that have already started processing your SS#...at this point if you aren't married you get a card that has red letters on it saying some thing to the effect of "only authorized to work". But when your name changes after your wedding you will have to file for another card...correct? Also, I have only glanced at the AOS requirements and it apppears to be a very similar process again, financial support and so on. I have 17 days until the wedding and only a couple more details like my Publix cake, and a couple of other little things. So i think it is time to at least start to compile info on the AOS. My least 3 years tax returns were excellent so I had no problem financially proving anything, but as I told you guys the end of January was the end of work for me so this may be a little tricky now. I am trying to pick up some subcontracting work and am still above their poverty guidlines and hoping it hangs through this process.....ugh!!!!

  9. Hey all! I didn't abandon the thread just took some time away I have been busy and planning the wedding and my daughters were with me for their spring break etc..... for some reason I have had issues to post interview reviews and POE reviews...still not resolved. I took copious voice notes of every step of the way so if anyone needs help I will be happy to answer any questions. It is good to be back to the thread.
