  1. From Luton Airport take the bus to Luton Airport Parkway station, then train London St. Pancras station. Take the tube, Victoria Line to Oxford Circus then the Central Line to Bond Street, walk from Bond Street to the Embassy. The journey takes around 75 to 90 minutes, but do add on plenty of extra time so you don't have to rush or for delays.

For Luton to St. Pancras train times use:

    For London Underground:

(When putting the destination in to the tube planner, put "American Embassy" and select place of interest, it will produce a walking map for you)

    many thanks

  2. Hi Guys

We are in the final run of this process....what i need information on is the medical and interview.

i am set to go to London, what i want to know is.....

after i get the letter as to setting up the medical am i able to get the medical the same day as the interview or do i HAVE to go down

    at least a week before?

  3. Your fiance will require your original birth certificate and any divorce documents for the interview. They do not get left with Consulate staff but they have the right to demand to see the originals of any copy submitted. Not having them could result in an RFE. I know my then fiancee was very reluctant to let his birth certificate and divorce documents out of his possession - but I was required to show them at the interview.

ok - thank you---I'm also wondering -- do I send my fiance the sponsor information? I received my hardcopy NOA2 and all it said was that our case was being submitted to NVC then to London--but it left no further instruction as to what I'm suppose to do and WHEN I'm suppose to do it?

  4. Yes, you were supposed to submit the copies for the petition and keep the originals and give them to your fiance. The reason is that if USICIS looses the file or part of it, your fiance could produce originals at the interview and avoided any delays in the visa.

But don't worry, you've already sent them in. ITs not going to ruin your petition or anything. I suggest requesting additional copies of those decrees and certificates and keeping them on hand, for the next phases of the process. Plus if they arrive in time and you can have your fiance replace them with originals in his file.

I don't feel comfortable sending in my original birth certificate etc. and my original passport? That's my entire identity

  5. 2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

Does this mean I have to send in ORIGINAL divorce, birth etc certificates? I'm confused--I sent original signed forms etc to them when I sent in I129F I made two other packets exactly the same but they're just copies.

  6. ye thanks again guys i went through all those links and had checked out the emabassy requirements

i guess it is a case of trial and error getting to where i need to be to receive the information i require.

if there is one thing the brits know how to do.....that would be to make things over complicated.

  7. i called my congressman today and the advisor said that you are still within the 6 month time frame...that sucks...

Sucks for everyone espically now everyone around our NOA1 time has got something and yet we have nothing! Why pick on certain people. Our case certainly wasn't unusual in anyway, no pre-marriage's, pretty much together throughout the entire duration of our relationship, She has lived in a quite a few places over the last 10 years but I don't see that being an issue. The longer this is going on for the more nervous were getting about never getting the visa. :(

Congrats to everyone who has theres btw

What number did you call for VSC I can't ever get any information--just the same repeated message that shows online on their website--which I don't think is updated. Is there another number I can call to get more up to date information?

  8. I don't think you need a police certificate from the Czech Republic, as you have only lived there eight months:

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...es_1308.html#pc

Be careful with this reference as it may or may not apply to K visas and each consulate is allowed some latitude. Kiev requires a police certificate if the applicant lived in another country for more than 6 months after age 16. I even have an email from them saying that a student is exempt from this if they lived in another country for less than one year...and another saying that is a mistake and to provide a police certificate in the case of our oldest son's K-2. Check with the consulate or follow their instruction for documents "checklist"

However, police certificates are not available in all countries for all persons and in that case, you do not need to get one. Somewhere on this site is a listing of countries and which do not have police certificates available. I have seen the link posted mant times, but do not have it. I am sure someone will come along with it.

Thanks guys, i was not to sure i would need the one from Prague, but, thought better to have it than not.

I guess i will just wait and see what happens, thanks again.

  9. Hi Folks

I am at the end of my tether hence this request, i have been trying to get reports from two countries in which i lived, Prague(8months) Brussels(13 month)

I have been told i will require a police report/good character reference from places i have lived over the years, i have the one for the UK.

My main problem of frustration is i have tried everything to get these reports and I am getting no where fast.

The original sites i was given turned out to be for USA citizens to request, once the operator understood the Scottish Accent, i was told they could give me no information of any help.

I eventually found details online of what each Embassy would require and where to send.

I originally emailed a request for details to the Belgian Embassy, to which i got the reply ' you need to contact a local police station in Brussels'

Gee thanks for all the help.

Then i called the Czech embassy in London, spent 15 mins on a automated system, touch this for this and touch that for that etc etc no actual person before directing me to their website which is where i got their number to call for details Grrrrr

eventually after a long search, I got to where i think i had to, to send and all the papers i needed to send.

so Monday i post all off to each embassy

today, Friday i get one back, in the pre paid envolope i posted with all my documents returned with no explanation as too why, or even any details as to where i should send them, i was under the impression that i send my details to London with payment and they pass to Prague to process and when i try to call automated world awaits....Grrrrrr

so i email the London Embassy and get a reply all in CZECH which i can make out some but not the rest Grrrrrrr

The Belgian one, I have not heard back from YET, but that was send directly to a local Police Station where I lived in Ixelles, I even translated everything into French so fingers crossed.

I think I need to jump on a flight to Brussels and Prague and get it that way Grrrrrrrrr

    frustration frustration......

So if anyone knows of where my next turn could be I would be more than grateful??

Thanks for reading and hopefully replying.

  10. How long did she live there? She only needs it if it was more than 12 months. See http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...es_1308.html#pc

Does anyone know how we can obtain a criminal record report from when my fiancee lived in Belgium and Czech Republic--I know they're going to ask for this during his interview--and we are starting to panic because we cannot locate any resources on the internet etc.

Thanks anyone for any advice, recommendations or help

Thanks folks, for the site, i had been on to that, i even gave them a call, turns out that is for US citizens and not UK ones as i was abruptly told, once they got over the Scottish accent......

so after a few hours i got in touch with the UK one for Brussels, got the reply ' you need to contact a local police station in Brussels'

gee thanks for all the help.

then i called the Czech embassy in London, spent 15 mins on a automated system, tounch this for this and touch that for that etc etc no actual person grrrrr

eventually i got to where i think i had to send and all the papers i needed to send, so Monday i post all off to each embassy

  11. I think it must depend on who your congressman is--I am extremely impressed with Senator Lamar Alexander--his office is wonderful--I emailed them and I received an email AND a personal phone call at work the next day and his secretary has phoned me every day since. Of course she said she was told our case is still within the 6 month processing time--but she's wonderful--she said to call her immediately if we have not received it by June 30th

oh and I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for those of you who have finally gotten yours !

  12. ok! I called USCIS--they acted like I was crazy for calling and said to call only if I haven't heard within the 6 month estimated processing time. 99% of the people with our NOA1 date filing at the Vermont Service Center have already gotten their NOA2 GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR My father is a retired Col. from the US Army--I wonder if it would help if I had him call LOL-- OK never mind me, I'm just getting crazy.
