    Dr Amr Maheer

    Dr Hesham Alborolsy

    Alsharouk hospital

    Cairo

he don't need any paper from the embassy to get his medical test done .

he can go to get his police record done . they will ask him what he wants is for he just have to say to USA embassy .

the Problem is not if he doesn't receive his packet 3 cause he can fill the forms online and send them to the embassy .......

but the problem would be is he doesn't receive his packet 4 ( the interview letter) cause they wont let him in if he doesn't have that .

Thank you so very much for the info and one more question. When he sends the reciept for the DHL in with his other forms.. is that prepayed envelope the one they will use to mail him his packet 4? Also, i'm not worried at this point about anything but the pacekt 3.. as on those forms we will put his correct address and make a note that it's a new address. :) Thank you again to help me, it's very nice of you.

  2. Congratulations!!!!!!!

well the NOA2 is valid for 4 months from 1/20 till 5/30 and the USA embassy can extend that anyway so don't worry about it .

if he doesn't receive his forms you should download them and send them to the embassy .

about the medical i can give you the doctors address that the embassy mentioned them in packet 3 if you want .

about the police record he can go to the same police department that he got his id from .

    Good luck

Sure, I would appreciate the Doctors addresses he can use for the medical, but wouldn't he need a paper from the Embassy showing they are requesting a medical?

I guess now is a great time for him to get his police record or does he need to wait a bit more? Would they also need something showing the Consulate was requesting his Police record before they give it to him?

If he doesn't receive the forms from the Consulate, what would he do just send them the forms they require, and everything else they require and after he thinks they received his packet call them for an interview appt?

    Thanks for your help..

  3. I received my hard copy NOA2 today and I have a question about the dates. It says, Notice Type: Approval Notice Valid from 1/20/09 to 5/30/09. What do the dates mean exactly and what will happen after 5/30/09?

Also, I have emailed the NVC to change my fiance's address twice and I have called once, but will continue to try until maybe someone will answer.. I have yet to change his address and if they send anything to his old address, he will not receive it. I will keep trying and even when I think Cairo has received the Petition, I will start emailing and calling them. BUT, if I can't catch it in time and he doesn't receive his forms from the Consulate in cairo, what exactly should we do?

I have a list of the forms they will send him, but I don't know anything about the medical and Police Certificate. I know some probably never received the packet from their Embassy, so what steps do we take so we can get his interview appt?

Thanks in Advance for any help..

  4. Congratulations for ur Noa2.

    The package 3 contains:

    DS156

    DS156K

    DS157

    I-134 Affidavit of Support

Instructions for the medical exam and the form for the photos.

In my case they didnt send me this but i read and call before to cairos embassy asking about the package 3, so if they do not send this forms contact me i will give u the site for download the forms. I know about more people is having the same problem when they receive the package 3 cose is totally incomplete or just with the instructions without the forms or just with different forms like in my case.

    Have a Blessed week.

    * O.K. thank you.. I'm worried he won't receive the correct forms, if he receives any at all. I'm just wondering if their delivery serivce is better than the one i've been trying to send him cards with. I wonder what he is to do if he never receives the packet 3? It's got me very nervous.

  5. I need help from anyone that can answer my questions, as to what will happen from this point on, especially if you've had a K-1 and gone through the Cairo Consulate. I am worried about the DS forms and would like to fill these out myself, if possible, and send them along with everything else he will need from me for his interview.

    1. When NVC gets my petition will they send me a packet and what exactly will be in it?

    2. NVC will give us a new number and will this number be the same we will use from this point on?

    3. Does the Consulate give us another number when my petition reaches them?

    4. I've read about the DS forms having a barcode.. when he receives Packet 3, will the barcode on the DS froms already be scanned as his or can I DL the forms online and fill them out for him? If so, where would I find the current DS forms to DL?

    5. Before he sends the forms back to the Consulate, he is to include his receipt from the Commercial Inter. Bank for $131.00, correct?

    6. He MUST send the forms back by DHL only, correct? And he must purchase a prepaid envelope from DHL and return it with the DS forms, correct?

Did anyone send some of the proof of ongoing relationship with the req. forms they want sent back or just keep ALL of it for the interview? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Good morning and once again congratulations !!!!! i'm so happy for you.

its just a few weeks till you will be with your love

1- No the NVC will not send you a packet they will just send you a letter like the NOA1 says that they received your petition and they sent it to the USA embassy in Cairo

    2- correct

3- No you will use the same number that you got from NVC.

4-yeah you can download them online and you can find them on vj or on the USA embassy in Cairo site .

    5-correct

    6-yeah just by DHL

just keep them to the interview cause they might send them back to him .

feel free to ask me anything .

Good luck and my best wishes for you

** Thank you so much for the information. I've tried several times to go to the NVC thread and read, but I just can't get the pages to come up for me. I'm having this trouble with a lot of pages on VJ lately. I try to look for the answer before I ask them, but when a page won't come up I have no choice.

  9. Thank you for answering, but they didn't give me but 2 blue sheets. First one says, The notice contains my unique number and must be resubmitted in the original with the requested information. After I have complied to resubmit the notice and all requested docs and information.

    1. The documentation submistted is insufficient. USCIS requires certian initial docs in order to process your application. Please respond with the evidencerequested on the attached page. ** the only other page i received is another blue page with: One or more fields of the I-129f was not completed. Please provide the follwoing:

    Page 3 Part c. Question 2:

    2. have you ever been convited by a court of law for any of the following crimes;

    Please indicate yes or no

    Signature:

This all I received 2 blue pages, should I print off another I-129f page they are requesting and JUST answer that question since they didn't include one in my letter?

No, do not print out another I-129F page. Just fill out the information on the second blue sheet where the question is written. I did not mean to make you confused... . I only got 1 blue sheet (the RFE notice) and a black and white paper copy of that question page from the I-129F petition, so that is why I said don't answer on the blue sheet. But now that you have given me more information, yes, fill out the answers on the second blue sheet as instructed and then mail back the cover blue sheet and the blue sheet with the question and your answer and signature. You don't need to print anything, just answer where instructed and send back both blue sheets ASAP!

Good luck and may you get a speedy NOA2!

Thank you so much for your help and i'm off soon to mail it as it says I only have 14 days to do so.

  10. I received a letter today for more information. It say, on my I-129f pg.3 part c. question 2 I forgot to check yes or no. It's if you have ever been convicted by a court of law for any of the following crimes. My question is this.. It has the question and a place for your answer on the blue paper they sent me. Do I check yes or no and sign this.. on the blue paper.. or do they want a whole new I-129f filled out and sent in? I appreciate any help.

I got the exact same RFE a while back. Check "yes"or "no" or write in "none" as appropriate and then sign and date it. You do not answer on the blue paper unless they specifically give you directions to answer on the blue paper because the blue paper is the actual notice for the RFE and it needs to be mailed back as the cover page with the RFE. I received the blue page and then a separate page with the questions ( a copy of the page from the I-129F) with the questions they needed answers to circled in red pen. I marked "no" and "none" as that was appropriate for my case and I signed and dated at the bottom, enclosed the blue RFE sheet on top of that paper and mailed it right back to CSC the same day. DO NOT fill out a whole new I-129F unless they specifically asked you to. ONLY DO AS THE DIRECTIONS TELL YOU.

  12. I sent letters to my Senators last Saturday and I copied a graph chart showing those that had been approved on a K-1 and filed after me at the VSC. I am now over 6 months from the time VSC received my petition. I have called USCIS many times and recieved the same answer, they couldn't help me and just wait.

I have a question if someone can answer it for me. When people say to wait 6 months before contacting your Senators/congressman, what do they mean exactly? VSC says, they are only working on March 7, 2008 K-1's, if so, how are people in September getting their NOA2? When should we be concerned and try to find answers?

you should be concerned when people that filed after you and got approved already. you can contact the senator or congressman at anytime, it doesn't have to be six months.. i was in my 5th month when i contacted my congresswoman and she offered to help me...

Thank you.. I wasn't sure just when the 6 month count should start, but when i'm seeing people in Sep. get NOA2 and I flied in July, I decided to try something. I called USCIS before I sent the letters off and the guy told me, i'm already 6 months and should hear something anyday.. right. He said, it's just taking longer with me probably AP or something and if they saw a real problem, they'd have giving me an RFE after they recieved the petition, but i'm not so sure of that.

  13. I sent letters to my Senators last Saturday and I copied a graph chart showing those that had been approved on a K-1 and filed after me at the VSC. I am now over 6 months from the time VSC received my petition. I have called USCIS many times and recieved the same answer, they couldn't help me and just wait.

  14. Has anyone contacted a senator or congressmen and heard any news? I am getting really frustrated! AHHH VSC!

we didn't contact any of them. it just has been 4 months since we filed for the visa so i think if we call the senator or the congress man they will ask us to call them back when it become 6 months since we filed for the visa .

    Good luck everyone

I sent letters to my Senators this past Saturday and I don't expect to hear anything.. if I did hear anything.. until about 2 weeks. I called USCIS and got the same run around as everyone else. I'm over 6 months, so I felt it was time to try something new.

  15. Just checking in to see if others have gotten their NOA2? I am now past 6 months and no word, but I did call and recieved the response, nothing is wrong with my petition and not to worry. Gentleman said, they probably found something and wanted to double check or they're still checking things out and it's normal for some people. He also told me, since it's been 6 months and still no RFE, then that is good news, as most time they send out an RFE soon after receiving your package. So, here I sit preparing letters to my Senators, to see if they can at least inquire and I might see some activity on my petition.

  16. I sent mine to VSC on 7/10, my NOA1 was dated they received my petition on 8/1/08. I looked two weeks ago and it showed I was outside of my timeline and I just checked again and i'm back into one. Mine now has a date of Jan 10 - Jan 28, so i'm keep my fingers crossed on that one. Since in a little over two weeks, it'll be 6 months since I filed, i'm preparing letters to my state reps, senators, congressmen. On 2/1 if I don't hear anything, i'll send them out. Probably won't help, but it doesn't hurt to try. Calling VSC won't get me anywhere, so i'll try another route. Good luck to everyone who is/will be soon waiting 6 months for their NOA2.

  17. It sounds to me like the OP doesn't want to hear anything that would upset her. I'm not an enabler or a sweet talker, but that doesn't make me a bad person. I'm not going to blow sunshine up your a$$; if I say something, I mean it, and it's not to create drama. From my longterm study of Islam, urfi marriages, "boyfriend Islam", and accusing Muslim women of not "acting Muslim" because they aren't shielding you from the truth are all red flags, IMO, but that's may not be something she wants to hear. Being older, fat, and ugly can be red flags for a CO, we all know that, too. So, how do you give serious, honest, impartial advice to people who post a list of what they don't want to hear?

No where DID I accuse Muslim women of not "acting Muslim" because they aren't shielding me from red flags. If I said those exact words please link it. The only comment made toward Muslim women is what my SO other said. I don't know how a Muslim woman is suppose to act nor do I care, but he should know since he is one. What I do care about is all I keep reading from the same ones over and over, how a MENA relationship is gonna end because he's just for a GD. Not everything i'm talking about has been said to me directly.. I mean I do read posts and I would think I could have my say as any of you do on here.

I see there is a comprehension problem here that everyone assumes I don't want to hear the truth and become upset. None of you know me and my SO irl to know anything about us, just like I don't you. You're looking at what you see the most, the ones that don't work out, but you don't know everyone in the U.S. that has a marriage as those that fell. Through these months of being on here over and over I read the same thing.. MENA use women in U.S. for nothing but a GC. If this is so true, then why the very ones posting this is with one and in some cases on thier second and third? Shouldn't they take the advice they are giving others?

My comment on being old, fat, and ugly comes from it being brought up over and over. I am older than my So, but the other two don't apply to me.. so, how can that upset me and pertain to my situation? I'm sure many marriages that fell invloved most or all three of these, but to say it over and over is rediculous. I'm sure not ALL MENA marriages and GC fraud has a woman labeled with those three.

Sure I want honest answers to my questions, but why is it if I question what is written and ask for more info, everyone goes crazy? Just like the webcam pics.. everyone that doesn't agree it has it's good points, goes crazy, if I say I think it does and asks why they think think it doesn't. Did I say anywhere I didn't want to hear anyone disagree with me? Why get so defensive if anyone disagrees with what you're saying? I'm talking in general here not to you. I'm being accused of the very same thing you guys yourselves are doing, but you're too blind to see that.

Do I think visa fraud doesn't exist.. no, I know it does and I don't need a lecture about it nor did I ask for one. In my one thread, I only asked for help in proving an ongoing relationship and when giving advice and I had questions, people can't handle that and accuse me of not wantng to hear the truth. The webcam thingy.. I think it shows we do communicate online, but if your experience is having a CO tell you it's not proof, then dang say this and i'll stop wasting my ink. That is what I was looking for the reason someone felt it wouldn't help us, not because I didn't want anyone to disagree with what I thought. If a CO told someone those things can be made up and proves nothing, then that is what I was interested in learning.

Just like the letters from family and friends, I didn't say they were made up if notorized. I said, the CO could say this as anyone can write something we all know this. But, if everyone felt letters were strong proof, then i'm gonna get busy having folks write them. Also, if a lot felt the CO didn't take them to heart as proof, I wouldn't worry about them that much. Can no one understand this? Obviously not..

  18. This whole discussion about fabrication of proof of ongoing relationships seems strange to me, I have never seen in all the years of reading anecdotal evidence here a member reporting the CO suggested their proof was created/fabricated. Naturally I dont read all threads, every thread, but that is a heavy claim that would garner some attention.

Well, i'm not making up that I had read a thread saying their visa was denied, because the CO said, the Fiance had made up the proof of an ongoing relationship. I don't recall what thread it was, but as I said, I believe it wasn't concerning someone in MENA and I thought who better to ask, than MENA themselves if they had gone through it and if so, how did you deal with it. So, no need for it to seem strange as I didn't make it up. Someone I believe said, they saw it to, but it wasn't in MENA.

I do remember that. It was Martiniolive that suspected that the CO thought that her husband had made up their emails. That is the first and only time I have seen this issue on VJ.

I do think you are working yourself up a little too much however. Just take notes from those that have given you good advice. You have a strong case, you have been there to visit many times. That in and of itself is one of the best evidence you could provide. The fact that you don't have a ring should be discussed between you. Not that it will prove fraud, but if you are allergic (I think you said) then he should be prepared to answer that just in case.

From what I am seeing is that you are going through the normal stress that we all go through. The "what if" stress. It gets old on a daily basis thinking of ways to prove your relationship is valid. Just do the best you can, listen to the good advice, and take it one day at a time. One person gave me some very valid advice. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Do what you can to prepare, and then give your mind a break. I think it might take you over the edge if you keep stressing this bad. And I don't mean this as an insult, I mean this from personal experience.

I don't take what you said as an insult, trust me. Am I stressed out.. Heck yea, who wouldn't be. But, I know if I don't ask questions and get answers then I might as well kiss this whole thing goodbye. Am I worried about a ring? Heck no, dang I told him to get the one he wanted and if I had to, i'll go in there with my dang hand red, broke out and swelled so bad they'd call someone to cut the thing off.

Ladies, please those of you who are sincere, know that I am taking what you tell me and trying to learn from it. I have a book with everything I feel is good, honest, and correct information beside here. Also, I know who of you mean good and who doesn't.

This thread is from what has been said to me on VJ and what I read in other threads on VJ. I didn't know we couldn't mention another forum on here. Frankly, I could give a hoot what anyone writes about me on any forum, but what I do find disturbing is a VJ member keeping our pics in photobucket. LoL I knew to keep those pictures of mine private for a reason. Well, i'm outta here and on my way out to eat and to a movie with my daughter.

  19. 20. ]

No, I never became upset about anything I was told. When I was told something, I questioned whether the CO in EGYPT only would question it and if so, how did those ahead of me deal with it. But when I sensed my thread and what I wrote was going somewhere it shouldnt.. I chose to forget it. Do I give a fig what anyone thinks of me? NO... What I do give a fig about is getting the help to questions w/o being made to feel my whole relationship is a scam.. which is exactly where that thread was headed.

Also, no where have I said in any post that EVERYONE who resonded to me was not offering their genuine advice. I can tell by a post who's sincere and who's not. Yes, this is a public forum , but I hope we are all adults and not children seeking visas. I also wish you the best on the rest of your journey.

I don't recall ANYONE replying on your thread suggesting that your relationship was a scam. I don't think I've ever seen anyone here in the MENA forums suggest that someone else's MENA relationship was a scam (not in the little time I've been here anyway) You were the one suggesting that evidences could be seen as fabricated. You asked what evidences you thought were sufficient and we told you what we've used in our interviews. You were the one saying "well I've heard that pictures can be seen as fabricated". Same with notarized letters from family and friends.

Well, I guess I got the feeling someone was questioning my relationship when she said, "your choice what you're going to do.. i am finding myself questioning your case now since you don't have an engagment ring, no letters, no emails, and if i understand correctly "not good with pics?" Yes, I don't have an engagement ring, I don't have letters.. what can I do if they're not delievered? But, are these things a call for questioning? I took it as more might follow her questioning and dropped it.

I never said, evidences that were notorized could be fabricated. Most of you did as I said in my last post.. you misunderstood what I was saying and took it the wrong way as I was some things said to me. I guess most just never got what I meant at all in that thread. I'll be the first to admit I have a hard time at time explaining things, but i'm certainly not the only one.

Guys, where that thread come from was from all the experiences I have read over the months in VJ. I wanted to point out what the CO might say was fabricated and if you went through this.. then how did you handle it and how/what you would do if you could do it over.

  21. My_Mohammed,

I really wish you the best of luck with your journey. I think that several of us did try to offer you genuine advice (those of us that have been through it) however the advice we gave was not (IMO) what you wanted to hear and you became upset in your thread here (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169651&st=0), because it seemed what we said was not what you were looking for. In the end you will make the decision that seems best for your case and the CO will be left to determine whether he/she believes your evidence to be genuine. I have been here for several years and from what I've seen, while I don't have access to your PM's, no one was singling you out or ridiculing you. As someone else stated this is a public message board and it is best not to let the things that are said really bother you.

NO... 22. in short, if it's an expats issue, discuss it on expats. if vj, discuss it on vj. don't transfer the drama from one site to another.

I have not seen anything posted about this member on expats.

according to the op, there has been - last sentence of first paragraph.

"I know those of you who know i'm referring to you, will run off to your little group on.. expactgroups.com and proceed to make fun and belittle me as you do others on VJ".

Charles, where did I say in that quote they had said anything about me? I said, I know they would do me as they do others, didn't I?

  23. Very interesting post. I do see a bit of biting going on now-and-again but doesn't that always happen between sisters and brothers? That's what we are here is a big ole dysfunctional family so we do have arguments and mud slinging but we understand that that comes with the territory of remaining in a forum for an extended period of time and getting to know each member on a personal level.

As to the comment about not being a real muslim if we post on this board... that one kind of pierced a little bit. I'm a muslim and I do my best to bring joy and happiness to people who are struggling to get through a day without crying. I am through wth our journey for now but still come here to support the friends I have made and possibly meet new people going through what I went through. I don't feel that that makes me any "less" muslim. I think it shows that I truely do love my friends (and yes, even enemies) to the fullest and am ready to help them whenever they need a hand and that is a sign of a good muslim imho.

the expats group...I don't venture there often so I don't care what is being said about me. Stuff is going to be said about EVERYONE no matter how well they're liked or how much they're disliked. I'm sure I have my fair share of enemies that say hateful nasty things about me but I really don't care. They go there to vent and that's ok with me. Whatever makes them feel better, then I say go right on ahead. Don't worry about that group :)

We did, at one time, have a big falling out about fat, ugly, and older women with the young mena men. Yeah it pierced some of the members pretty deeply and did so for quite some time. I really don't see much of that going on in here anymore unless it is in a thread that the discussion is actually about red flags and things the consulate might find against the relationship OR a thread letting us know how things turned out for the worst :( . We are a forum of people who just want to be happy with our SO's and need/needed advice at some point on what to do to get them here. We have the good happy threads and we have the break-up threads. We feel it is important to show both sides of the story so that any newer members may be reminded to sit back and think about what they're doing before they make this very very life altering journey.

We aren't saying that ALL mena men are bad. As a matter of fact, I'm sure that if the mena group members were actually, I don't know, the russian group or something....the threads would be exactly the same with the warnings for fraud and all that because that is just the way this group of women are. They care about what happens to each other so they try to help others BEFORE the trouble hits so that their lives aren't ripped to shreds by the man they thought was prince charming.

I love my mena man with all my heart but thanks to VJ I'm aware of the possibilities that certain things may take place. This has helped me to put my relationship into perspective a bit and actually strengthened it a lot. I really hope it has helped others the way it has helped me :)

I hope that you find some good while sifting through the mena forums and see that we are truely a wonderful bunch of people who commune on a daily basis and care a lot for each other. This means that nasty things will be said and feelings will get hurt but as afore stated, that happens in every family. I wish that you find a place here to settle in and feel safe to ask any questions ou may have. I, for one, am ready to help whenever you may need.

I just want you to know that I didn't make the comment about Muslims, it's was my SO. I don't even try to say, I know how a Muslim should act as i'm not one. Because my SO is, I tend to listen and believe what he tells me. I also have done much reading myself to satisfy my own curiosity and I know some of what i'm seeing on here is not the norm. I understand what he meant and for him it's how he feels and how he sees a Muslim woman should be. I didn't mean ALL Muslim women nor did I say ALL. So I don't want all Muslim women on here to think I meant them.

Yes, i'm sure i'll find the good i'm searching for as not everyone is bad and some I feel truly mean well. And from the bottom of my heart, no matter what my relationship brings, I hope all succeed and can come back years later and share their sucess stories. I might be one who reads them and wish it were me, but if it is.. i'll take what I learned from my experience and move on, as I would if it were with a good ole American man.
