They transferred Mohammed's case to CSC, it stayed there for a few months, then we received the SAME message and it was sent to our local office and we just had our interview there. So, they do send you that same notice when it's been transferred back to USCIS and in our case it meant an interview at our local office. Like to add ours included.. USCIS as they have jurisdiction over your case.
Good Luck

Would you tell that what evidence did you show/give her at interview?
** All she would look at is our Life Insurance papers, photo's, and car title with both our names. She kept a copy of each Life Insurance policy and one photo of us with my family.

Mohammed had his A.O.S. interview today at the Jacksonville, Fl office. It was easy and very quick.. took maybe 15 minutes. Below are details of interview. We had a lady who was very nice and made us feel at ease.
Lady asked for his I-94 and then ripped it out of his passport and stuffed it in an envelope. I felt he was approved when she did this and I relaxed.
Questions:
1. Mohammed, tell me how you met and when?
2. Let me see what you have combined jointly. - She took car title, Life Insurance policies.
3. Let me see any photos you may have. - She took one of us with my family.
4. How many visits have you made to Egypt to visit Mohammed?
5. Did you meet his family?
6. Do you have photos of you with his family?
7. Does your family intend to apply for a Visa and come visit you in the U.S.?
8. Mohammed, are you working as of now?
9. Do you drive yet, Mohammed?
** I also would like to mention that she was most concerned with our Life Insurance polices. That is.. she kept saying she wanted to see Mohammed would be taken care of too, if I passed away.
I put him as my Benificary on my policy and we bought him one with myself as the Benificary. Note his is a small policy from Globe Life, but it's very affordable for anyone. Good luck everyone.

If you didn't get an RFE for it, you shouldnt need to get it now, but you always can just incase they ask for it while you are at the interview. He wouldn't need a full medical, but they may ask for the CS Vaccination I-693, just to verify again that his vaccines were done. You can also just say (if they ask) that you were under the impression they had all the information they needed and dont have it available because you didn't get an RFE for it. Thats if they ask for it at all, which is doubtful.
Thank you for your response. I still have the copy of his vaccine worksheet the Doc give him in Egypt. I will bring another copy of it, incase they lost it somewhere with all the transferring they did with his case.

Mohammed is having his A.O.S. Interview on 4/7/10 and I filed the I-485 on 10/09 and his Medical was 4/22/09. I didn't send with his I-485 the Medical Exam I-693 and we didn't receive an RFE for it. I did send a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Sheet showing which vaccines he had with the I-485. Since we didn't receive an RFE do we need to have a Civil Surgeon see him again?
Thanks

Assuming your signature is correct (12/21/09 - AOS Interview - Went well with no problems.) what did the adjudicating officer tell you at the end of the AOS interview?
** ** No, he had his Biometrics not AOS interview in December, 09. I just corrected this in my signature. There were no problems at the Biometrics and I assumed since it was transferred to CSC there'd not be an interview, but looks like I was wrong.
-
The office in Lee's Summit is the National Benefits Center, but I agree it sounds like your case is headed to your local office for an interview. We had one for AOS and for Removing Conditions ....
But it says in your signature that you already had an interview for AOS? is that true?
if so I would guess that it probably means your case has been approved and just transferred to storage but frankly if it were me I would call he USCIS line and ask them to look it up and clarify the status.
** No, he had his Biometrics not AOS interview in December, 09. I just corrected this in my signature. There were no problems at the Bio and he had his EAC within a week after Biometrics.

Nobody would know yer in Florida - you've not put it in anywhere on yer profile (I know, I looked prior to answering yer question). Most assumed (myself included) that something was to be done at local office - since NORMALLY if its returned FROM CSC, and you get a notice about it - well, sorry - yer up for an interview at the local office. Everyone assumed yer local office is in MO, you never menioned squat about the NBC in yer other post.
NBC is used for 2 reasons -
1. case review and
2. case storage.
IMO, it being at NBC at this stage - is up for case review.
Perhaps if others 'knew more specifics' about yer casefile, they'd give 'more focused answers'.
Maybe.
Once could hope !

You don't have to be a JERK when answering questions. I don't see help in your post at all.. all I see is someone with a smart mouth. I have tried to put in my timeline and it won't work for me.. that's why it's not there. If you notice in my signature I have ALL info I feel would help others in EGYPT listed. So, your words don't mean squat to me either.

It can/does happen - very likely your case was sent back to your local office where an interview will likely be scheduled.
Just to remind you of the duplicate post http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=243417&st=0&p=3735139entry3735139
** Our local office is NOT Mo.. we live in Florida. I also know it's a duplicate post.. that's why I asked for this one to be left here in MENA. MENA is where my husbands from and i'd like to hear of others who might have been through this before.
-
It depends on where you live - do you live in MO?
It probably means that you'll get an interview. Look for the interview notice in the mail.
** No, we live in Florida.. I would think if it's an interview they'd make it a little closer than that or I hope so.

They received payment on 10-09 and 11-09 transferred it to CSC. His Biometrics was 12-09 and on 2-10 they transferred it again to N.B.C. in Lee's Sumit, Mo. We live in Florida and I don't understand why it's been transferred twice. Has anyone had this happen to them before? On A.O.S. forum they seem to think he's getting an interview, but we don't live anywhere near Mo. Any idea guys why it's been moved twice like this? They said, Mo was the Jurisdiction, but i'd think there'd be one closer to us than Mo. Now I have to wait 180 days before I can call them with questions.
Thanks

We filed in 10-09 and 11-09 it was transferred to California Service Center. He had his Biometrics on 12-21-09 and on 2-16-10 they transferred it again to Lee's Sumit, Mo because they have jurisdiction. Has anyone ever had their's transferred twice and what could be the problem? Now I have to wait 6 months again before I can call and ask questions. This is taking so long I thought the whole thing would take about 4 months to get his 2 year GC, but I was wrong.
Thanks

Hot Guy,
Not sure if i'm one of those you are talking about, but I have answered your questions when you ask me, as you have answered mine. I'm waiting for A.O.S. right now and i'm at a different level than most are in this process. I will answer any question asked if asked directly.
As i've told you many times.. our Visa went smooth, BUT I visited 4 times and spent over 7 months in ,08 with Mohammed. I think that spoke for it's self. . As I told you, Mohammed had never left Egypt, had no police record, his father had only been outside Egypt once.
As I told you, my Senators office said, they even check EVERY place your father has visited and you told me yours had many trips outside Egypt. Also, if you and your SO hasn't seen each other in years.. i'd see this as a red flag if I was a CO. I personally think the answer to a speedy visa is time spent together with your loved one. I remember this being said to me when I first started my journey here on VJ. I wish you well as I do all the others, but no matter in the end none of us on VJ can answer questions for a CO and AP.

Just to clarify : did you have your AOS interview already but no bio appointment?
No, the cancelled appt. was the only one he received and it was a Bio appt.

Due to hurricane Ida, I had to reschedule Mohammed's Bio appt. in New Orleans. The guy said, if I didn't get a new appt. in 30 days to call back. I received this today from the California Service Center:
The status of this service request is:
Your case was transfer to the California Service Center on 11/12/2009 for processing; as soon as they reach a decision on your case you will be notify by mail. Please allow approximately 90 days for completion before submitting additional inquiries. Thank you for your patience.
Does this sound right to wait for 90 days? The guy told me 30 and then call them back. Since it was transferred to California will there still be a Biometrics Appointment? I was hoping we'd not have to wait so long for his GC, but at this rate, if the Bio can take up top 3 months we got a good wait ahead of us.

The NOA is for his Biometrics to be done at New Orleans.. which I rescheduled due to Ida. He did receive a NOA today letting him know his case was transferred to California and they would notify him of a decision. I did check my zipcode and it shows Jacksonville, Fl as the one for my zipcode, but it's 5.5 hours and New Orleans is closer.
I will wait to see if he gets a new appt. letter by Dec 15th as the guy told me yesterday for his Biometrics. If he has to have the Bio done then we have to go to New Orleans after all. I just hope the guy didn't mess up and they have no showing I called and resheduled. I did write down all the referrence numbers and his ID number so maybe we'll be o.k.
Thanks,
Jolie

A case transferred to CSC means you will have no interview. Consider yourself blessed!
Well, that is what I thought as well, but he hasn't went anywhere to have his Biometrics taken.. I guess that's what New Orleans was for, but the guy yesterday told me we both had to be at that Interview. How confusing if we get another letter with another appt. for New Orleans and they don't even have anything on his case.

Guys I need help with all these notices i'm receiving. Mohammed recieved notices that he had an Intervire today in New Orleans. I called yesterday and had it cancelled because of Ida. I live near Pensacola, Fl and couldn't leave out with it coming a shore. When I called USCIS the guy said why are you going to New Orleans.. our data shows it was transferred to California? I tell him all I know is I have the notice telling him to go today.
Today Moahmmed recieves another notice letting him know his case has been transferred to California and they will notify him when it's complete. What am I to do here? Who has the case and which notice do I believe? When he receives his next notice for New Orleans Appt. will they even have his case or will it be in California? That is too far to drive and money to waste if New Orleans doesn't even have his case.
I don't know who to believe or what to do here as I have thought I read on VJ if it was transfeered to California to speed up processing the person didn't even have an interview.. they just waited for the GC to come through the mail. Anyone have advice or can tell me what to do?

Thank you so much for the info. The thing is we are going to have to drive 4.5 hours to get to New Orleans.. I live in Florida and even if it's good weather there, I might be driving through some bad weather to get there. I'm not sure what to do as I live in a Hurricane prone area and I know how bad the weather can get and how dangerous it is to be out driving in it.
I am calling them tomorrow and will keep a check on their site to see if the office is closed, but even if it isn't that doesn't mean the weather i'm traveling through to get there isn't dangerous for us.

Mohammed has his AOS interview Tuesday at 10am and Hurricane Ida will be in New Orleans where his interview is to be. I don't know what to do as the Appointment Notice says if he's not there his application will be abandoned. I don't even know if they'll be open and a hurricane expected to be in their city that day.
I will call tomorrow USCIS and try to find out if we can reschedule at this late in the game, but i'm scared if we're not there and they do open what they'll do to him. We must leave early Tuesday morning to make it in time for the interview and it's dangerous driving through hurricane wind and rain.
Does anyone have advice or been in this situation before?

We met on WoW on 4/07, when he joined my guild with his 2 friends. We play Horde on Malganis and i've played since 2006. We have played daily since we met and even though he's with me in the U.S. now, we still play everyday.
We actually started playing together when he was the first to hit 70 in my guild and I asked him to run me thru SFK on a lowbie. The next day, he asked me to run him through WC and I refused as I didn't know who he was on an alt. I was at WC farming and i'll never forget this little Orc Warrior running up to me asking me to run him. He told me if I knew who he was, I would run him and I asked who he was and since that day we lvled our two alts and been together ever since.
I remember the exact place I was standing when I realized I loved him and I visit that spot now and then to remember. It was on a rock near the dock at the Alliance town in TM. We were doing quests near the shore and both around lvl 25. It feels good to go back and remember all the good times we had then. If not for him, i'd be no where and have no lvl 80's now.
