  1. Here's my dilemma, got our i-30 approved on March 15, 2013..husband was staying with his aunt, they got evicted..she didn't say anything about the notice ect...However, he's bn staying at a hotel, and will be looking to move into an apt hopefully by weds once he decides which one he likes better... on the USCIS webiste, it said the NOA2 was mailed, but he's no longer at that address...should he call the uscis and let them know the situation or just call on weds when he signs the contract with his new address...the reason why i am asking is because, i saw something where it stated, once it goes back to the uscis, u have to pay a fee for them to resend it, also it takes a while for them to resend it... Need some advice on this one, thank you..

For me, I didn't need those notices to finish the process. I'm pretty sure you don't need it too. Maybe when your husband call the NVC for further processing, he should mention that he changes address... Next week maybe He can start caling the to get your NVC #. you can get the NVC contact number on post 1.

  2. OMG! I just read your timeline and it seems that you were so lucky.

You applied in November and you have the interview in April :) Wow!

Congratulations! Most of the people wait for more than 6 months to get an interview date....

Which centre took care of your file?

    Good luck with the interview!!!

Thanks! I mailed to Phoenix lockbox.. I've read some of the post that when you applied for I-130, try to put all the papers that you think could possibly help the process. And that's what I did. My case was finished at USCIS for 42days after NOA1...

Good luck on your journey too!

I thought the Philippines medical was always two days? I could be wrong though.

You're right, minimum of two days... Some will need three days if they have a medical issue..

  3. Thank you DenMar_S for replying to my post! You gave me hope about my case too. I was going to send an email to the supervisor as well, but then my congressman suggested I send the request thru them. It should sound better too if they send it out by their name. I will make sure I send my husband all the papers again so he can take it to his interview.

Thank you so much for your advises and wishes :);) Good luck on your mom's interview :star:

Btw, there's one I know here that he emailed the supervisor to expedite at the same time his Congressman.. Maybe if you too emailed the NVC will pressure them. If you can ask your OB to give you a medical certificate to attach on your email, that helps a lot!

  4. Yeah they sometimes make things up!! It is horrible!

I've read your post, sorry to hear that...

I had my mom's case expedited 'cause I had twins and need my mom so bad. I emailed the supervisor with an attachment of medical certificate. I got an approval to expedite in 4 business day. The case was completed by NVC right away and send to the Embassy. My mom will be bringing the IV documents on her interview..

Good luck on your case, hopefully it will be expedited..(",)

  5. I check my status last night and it was saying there is date for the case  and yes I triple checked the case # . Weird cos two days ago it was saying "processing at NVC. It probably means my file arrived the consulate and they are about to enter into their system. Will call DOS today or tomorrow.

You're right! I called DOS last friday and he said it should be at the Embassy this week. I'm sure the Embassy is kind of quick to put the case in their system 'cause it didn't take long that they have it ready..(",)

  6. i got this when I check my mom's case status online.. so, i guess i'll join with guys.. :innocent:

hope the waiting is over, here...

    good luck!

Can't wait to call! Thanks Saylin & everybody for unending guidance.. Good luck on out journey!

  8. I got this email from NVC inquiry but my IV documents also arrived today as per USPS tracking. Now I got worried if they have reviewed and are they going to forward the documents to US Embassy Manila. I tried to called DOS but they're already close.. ;(

    "Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: MNL2013xxxxxxx filed by Xxxxxx on behalf of Xxxxxx. The NVC completed its processing of this visa petition, and forwarded it to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in MANILA PHILIPPINES.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General accepted this case for expeditious processing, and the case was sent to the assigned U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in MANILA, PHILIPPINES."

  9. Finally, after 3 long days i've been checking - IV processing fee payment status "PAID"...

Hi Saylin, before anything else I wanna thank you and the rest of the crew ..(",) for your time and support to everybody whose going through this journey.

Anyway my question is that if you have encounter anybody her who go through expedite processing that was forwarded to US Embassy/ General Consulate without finishing the process in NVC? I feel that I got lost now. I try to call the US Embassy - Manila but they don't have so much information about my moms papers. Or maybe I just called too soon...

  10. this is the standard scheduling portal for Manila IV.

    No worries there.

Since yer expedite at NVC was approved, you may run into some problem between NVC and Manila IV , with Manila IV actually receiving the casefile prior to interview day.

So, Be Prepared to sling a full set of everything (I-130, G-325, DS-230, I-864, photos, evidence, etc) on the visit for the interview day, just in case Manila IV hasn't received the casefile from NVC.

thanks Darnell.. this is a lot of idea! actually, NVC already receive my I-864 and they said that there's no problem on it. But I'm thinking now to send everything to my mom to bring with her on her interview. Only have another problem 'cause I already pay the IV fee and it's already cashed in our bank but doesn't show that it's paid on the payment portal. hopefully the US Embassy - Manila won't collect another $230...
