  1. Oana31, can you please explain to me whats the deal with SSN? As far as I know, all US residents and ESPECIALLY U.S. CITIZENS like us, the petitioners, have SSN. SSN is our unique identification number to distinguish individuals especially with the same names. I can't see why it's the reason why our applications are being held longer than others. The government can just input it in their system and our whole lives stories pop out. If they see something suspicious, then I understand why they are holding up our applications.

Just hang in there with us...

Well, of course that if you are a USC or resident you have a SSN...I was talking about us, the non-petitioners, like me (and maybe somebody else), who have a SSN. And that is why I guess that our files are delayed, because they also need to check our SSN to see what we were up to! So, I am NOT the petitioner, I am the foreign fiancee, but I also have a SSN.

Well, since yesterday was Sunday, I don't expect any news this morning.

Guys, I pray for you and me every day to get the approval !

  2. Congrats from me as well!!!!!!!!

Oana31, I don't know about SSN. I have one as well! DO you really think that it'll take longer because of that???

And I thought that would make their whole check easier cause we would already be in their system or something. But what do you know...

I'm still praying and thankful that we can trust God. He'll do it in His perfect timing!

God is so good!!!:dance::dance: Yahooo......finally guys I'm approved. I had a dream last night and this is it!!! Thank you Lord!!! I'm sure ( kiwie, mara-rafe and oana31) and the rest of you June filers waiting for NOA2 will recieved your approval this week. I can't wait to see your approval....Thank you so much for all the encouragement my VJ family especially June filers.

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On November 20, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

CONGRATS CHUSAN!!!! I'm so happy for you and thanks for the encouragment. I hope we're getting it this week too! I'm literarilly getting sick waiting. ugh!

And guys, whats with the SSN issue? Doesn't everyone have a Social Security Number?

Well, as you can see, the SSN will slow us down. The only ones left from June are either us (SSN holders) or the RFE's. I can think of at least 2 Junies who are not approved YET 'cause they have RFE.

And as fas as having SSN only people who previously worked or studied in US got it when they were in US.

Guys, keep your heads up, we are about to be approved. It cannot take much longer !

  3. that would be good.

it's so frustrating! But I don't wanna give up hoping yet!!!!!

We can do it guys... at least there are a couple more of us!

I will keep on praying for us!!!!!

    YES WE CAN !!!

:ot: I need to share one thing: the first thing that amazed me when I started reading this forums was the trust in GOD and the faith that everybody has! Here in Romania people are not used to mentioning God so often (maybe because we were a comunist country, and comunism is against that). I'm not saying that we are unbelievers, just that we grew up in ignoring God and being forbidden to pray or talk about Him.

But reading so many people's posts, where they would give God the credit for their success, built my faith even stronger. So I needed to mention this.

:ot2: I will also pray for us!!

  4. is anyone else having problems with the USCIS site? I logged on and when I clicked my receipt number, nothing happen. Usually the "pending" notice appears. It's been like this for a couple of days now.

Also, I called the customer service. I'm getting impatient. My fiance is a policeman and he just got transfered to another province. I asked why I havent heard from them since some July filers have been receiving their NOA2. He just told me that my case has been 144 days and it's in the normal processing time. I told him he didn't answer my question. He said, "Yes, I did." #######!

    Have you tried this:

instead of logging in. click onto "case status search" (left hand side of webpage) and then type in your receipt number and see what comes up. It will either say case received and pending or approval notice sent etc.

Today when i checked my status. I logged in and i tried to click onto my receipt number and nothing happened. so i went to "case status search" instead and typed in my receipt number and it came up that i had been sent an approval notice.

OMG!!! same thing happend to me, and I thought I was the only one in this!!! Cannot clik on the receipt number, and when I type our receipt number in the "case status search" tab it says case received and pending!

Mara-rafe, I really hope it is going to change for approval sent, to both of us!

  5. yea ive noticed that there have literally been no approvals this week and im assuming its because of the election,

but the question is why that is?

Does the CSC office become a voting booth today or something? lol

    :rofl::rofl:

well if they work and count in the votes like they do our pettions they have no new president for the next six months keep him waiting too

    :rofl::rofl:

Did anybody in the US try to actually call either CSC or VSC and ask what is going on?

  6. I really don't see why they have to be so slow right now. Anyway, it is less than a week until election, so there is not anything they can do now for the citizenship applications! Either they start again today ot tomorrow with our I-129F's or there is something else going on.

Of course the waiting is depressing, but let's stop saying that, because writing and reading over and over that the waiting is depressing / brutal will do us no good!

Question: do you guys think it has anything to do with having a new president? I mean, could USCIS say "let's wait, see, maybe if Obama will be elected he will ask us to freeze the immigration process for this year" ? I don't know, it's just a weird thought, coming from a tired mind.

  7. I start to believe this week is not going to be one of the happy weeks! I mean, look at Vermont, they are also going backwards with the approval dates, so I guess it is a national issue (the naturalization process because of the elections might be it).

But, as they are nice people, they will catch up, you'll see !!

(F)(F)(F)(F)(F)(F) For all of us, June filers, for being so patient!

I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance(e) K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child 6 Months That is what i see on USCIS webiste updated Oct 19. So at least, they don't give us weird dates, will only tell us that it takes 6 months and that's it. I think it is better like this!

  8. Hello everybody! How are you feeling this week? I woke up and realised that no matter what, we are all one week closer to seeing our SO's. Positive thinking is rewarding, so I'm trying my hardest to follow this new plan of mine! haha...

have a great week you guys, and I wish all of us to disappear from Igor's list ASAP! ;)

 I hope you are right, and all June filers will be history by the end of October !!
