  1. Oh know, he lost his flight??? Is he still going to come?

We described the situation in our own words. I have never seen a template here but who knows...maybe there is.

That's funny that your fiancé name is also Dan; so two Dan's without their foreign brides... hahaha. I hope we are not talking about the same Dan. Just kidding.

 I also hope we're not talking about the same Dan

Yes, he'll still come but on Sunday.

    Crazy girls!!!

At least you still have the humour!

Panterchen, your case got assigned Nov 13 and still no news. That is why I am starting to believe that the infopass guys are just "Pinocchio Fan Club". :bonk:

Stepha, so nothing else besides "any day now/around the corner/yada-yada" ???

  2. Ok, guys, so as you can see from my timeline, I am VERY close to my 6 months from NOA1, so I'm joining your club.

I don't think they will do some magic tricks for me these days (hey, it's CSC we are talking about), so I am pretty sure that on Dec 24th (when I reach the 6 months limit) I will still be waiting for my NOA2.

Even though this club is not where I want to be (neither of us wants), I am here, so I might as well share some positive energy!

Good day to all of you, people, from all over the world!

  3. Good morning, guys!

My baby's appointment, was short (obviously). The guy told him the usual stuff :"yeah, your case was assigned last week to an officer...6 months is just a general guide line, could be more for California...we have many files, we are understaffed...your case seems fine, no worries, you could get an answer in the next days...BUT Holidays are close, so it is very possible that you will hear from us next year"

He was disappointed, but at least he found out that the file is not stuck in some loop! Well, we are trying to look at the bright side.

Anyway, Christmas is around the corner, so we decided to enjoy this time as it is: me with my beloved family and dogs here in Romania, and him with his family and friends over there, thinking about each other.

Like he said: the hard part (long waiting) is behind us anyway!:dance::dance:

  4. guys, I'm gonna tell you something, and I'm gonna say that until u get sick of me!

Waiting for an approval is not that hard, stop worrying, stop whining, and start paying atention to the everyday life (your family, jobs, hobbies etc.) Your approval is gonna come in the right time, if u worry, u are gonna be a burden for everybody, maybe you don't realize, but people feel your stress, and the ones who love you suffer with you. It happened to me once, when i was worried, and i tried to whine, and my future husband said "Stop it, I don't wanna hear about this matter until we get the approval! You are of no help, not to me, not to anybody else, with this attitude!"

It was exactly what I needed to hear, to get my senses back!

Please, guys, it is obvious that you will get it, and you will be together. So enjoy the time left in your home country, with your family, your friends, co-workers, etc (some of these people maybe you will never get to see again).

  5. I really think at the InfoPass Appointment they are able to give you something to hold on to !

Evian, of course the lady told you not to bother, because it is their policy not to encourage people to go down to the local offices . "Just sit and wait, people, don't you bother us with your worries. So what if you havent's seen your loved one from Europe/Asia/Australia in many months ?????? I NEVER saw Europe/Asia/Australia !" :bonk:

Well, like I said, we have the Appointment on Dec 15th.

Stepha, yours is tomorrow, so I'll pray for you guys. Keep us posted!

  6. You can do it online easily visa the USCIS web page I think. You can schedule an appointment for just a few days in advance at your local USCIS office. Just bring your NOA1 if you already have one.

Ok, so he did that. he scheduled an appointment for Dec 15. Hope that by then we will get our NOA2. If not, then we will be very close to 6 months, so he can also mention that.

    have a groovy day!

  7. Guys, everybody is sooo organized. Nevermind USCIS, we have our plans ready!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

My wedding will be in Romania, on July 26th. That is IF these wonderful people will give me my AP on time. If not, no biggy, there is still time.

Guys, hold on to your hopes and dreams, they will come true. You gotta live the day and not wait for it to be over!:dance::dance:

Anyway, Natan, welcome to this forum !

P.S. yeah, what's with that timeline, Natan? Mine says something like that, also !

  8. hey guys, me again, not trying to make you guys more sad and anxious, but i looked at the may filers you were referring to and noticed that most of the 5 remaining may filers havnt updated or visited the site in over 3 months, so God knows that they are probably approved by now,

anyway, i want you guys to know that im in the same boat as you and have reached our 4 month mark by tomorrow, just hang in there!!

we shall all see approvals soon! God willing!

Navid+Hediyeh, we are not on the same boat as you. You've ONLY reached the 4 months. We have reached 5 months and counting.

call the nvc, it seems people have been getting approvals once they call in there

NVC ???????????????????? Navid+Hediyeh, why should we call NVC if the file is still with California? Do you know something we don't ? B)

  9. Hey guys,

I keep reading this thread, cuz I hope all of you get approved very soon!

About the SSN: I also have the SSN, I lived in the US for a year and a half, and we got processed in 4.5 months. So I'm not sure this is it.

Anyway, whatever that is, I'm sure it will be straithened out any day now!

You are all so strong and I admire that.

    Best of luck!

Thank you, RyDa, we have to stay positive, and we are doing a great job, I'd say!

About the SSN, who knows? We are speculating here for 5 months now! maybe the officer adjudicating your case was nice enough to take both your SSN's to the checking systems, I don't know what to say. We only need to see the result, we don't care about how we get there.

So, no work today for USCIS. Yay! :P

  10. Stepha, since my fiance lives in Colorado, he just called Denver, which is, naturally, the closest office. So, your fiance would need to call the state capital office I guess. Or, somewhere on that USCIS site there is a page that has an Office locator tab, where you can find the closest near you. If you need help with that, or have any other questions, let me know, so I can ask my fiance.

Well, guys... another wonderful day for us!

  11. Ok, Kiwie, so if I remember correctly, you said you also have a SSN.

My fiance called his closest office (Denver) and a really nice lady was telling him that if the foreign fiancee also has a SSN it does take longer, since they will have to run all the checking again (FBI, NSA, national security, state, etc.) Why, in God's name, they don't run both SSN's in the same time, if they see that both (petitioner & foreign fiance) have SSN ??????

Anyway, we are on the right track, guys!

  12. Morning, people!

So, you are telling me that even if we call them, they will just click our file number on a computer, and tell us exactly what we can read on their site ? Wow, I'm impressed. So basically, until you reach the 6 months limit, they will NOT bother checking the situation. Cool.

Guys, I checked my e-mails, I read the news site, I am writing to ya, and I didn't check the USCIS site yet. :wow: Congratulations to me.

Tomorrow and Firday they are closed, right? Will they work on Sat or there is no point ?

  13. Mara-rafe, it seems like the fact that I have a SSN slows us down, so I think it is better that your fiance never entered the US.

Kiwie, we can do it, we need to stay positive! We still have enough days from this week.

Stepha, it is a good thing if you are busy! I am also in my final year at University, and the teachers started letting us know just much volume of work we will be having before the exams. To this I will add my job. So, I am so caught up in this, that I really feel that waiting for my NOA2 is much more bearable compared to "waiting" for my January exams. :P
