Just wanted to pop in and see how you guys were doing! I know I don't write here much, but every once in a while I pop in to read your posts!! Looks like you guys are all moving right along!!! We also filed in march but through CSC. We are now waiting for our packet 3 so my fiance can get his butt into the interview!! Hopefully we will receive our packet within the next few weeks or so.

O my goodness. That's awful!! It's scary sometimes. jorge took me to a restaurant named VIPS in Mexico City, and i cut little tiny chunks at a time (just in case) and the chicken in the middle was raw. BLEGH!!!!!!!! You have to be so careful eating their foods. I, too, would drink bottled water or canned pop. Even eating in the mercados scared me because they hang raw chicken out in the open...it just looks so unsanitary. It's weird because I am origianlly from Puerto Rico and it's similar to that but I have lived in Washington since i was 6 years of age so I'm used to clean water and food. Just be careful Caity I don't want you to get seriously ill ok? Take good care of yourself sweetie.

Caity- OOH It's your birthday!!!!! Have a great one I totally understand what you are going through. When I went down there in December, I was pretty much sick to my stomach the whole time. THe food there was great! But it didn't agree with me. I was sick sick sick. I hope you are starting to feel better. Get plenty of rest and be careful what you eat!

HELLO!!!!! Jorge phoned CDJ yesterday and they told him they received our case on the 30th of july. Funny because our petition was shipped from NVC ON THE 30th. What do they mean? Am I going crazy? Are THEY going crazy?

STEVI- I have to say that yesterday it felt like christmas at work! It's the air. You know what I mean? That feeling you get during the Christmas season. It's hard to explain it, but yes it felt that way yesterday! StRaNgE!

Jorge called CDJ today. Wanna know something funny? Not really funny, but weird..... The guy told him that (he was very nice by the way) our petition got to CDJ Jul 30........but that's when it was shipped from NVC...? Is he crazy? That doesn't make much sense to me...........................................................................

Well...he told Jorge that the packet could arrive 4-8 weeks. He mentioned that the packet will mention if I need to attend or not. I may very well go after all. I am still debating on that issue! He also told Jorge that he will receive his visa within 24 hrs after the interview yAY! I would LOVE it if we were able to fly up here together. That would be so much fun! Let's see...what else did he telll him...He said that he DOES need my originals... if that is the case, i will go to mexico!!!!!!!! ANDALE ANDALE ANDALE!!!!!!!! Just kidding. i kind of want to go. It'll be fun. And we can get the party started early

It's possible this may be your month. We applied March 18 for I 129 F and got our NOA2 Jul 22 by e-mail. Remember that the estimated time is 6 months but they have been approving after just 4 months. Keep your hopes up This may very well be your month. As well as the interview date.... I think it's great that we don't have to wait for an interview date- that's good because once you receive the packet and gather all the data for the packet, you can go to the interview when you want. Well...you have to make a medical appointment for at least 2 days before. But still, some people have to wait 2-3 months for their interview date. COnsider yourself lucky about that. As of right now, our petition has been in Mexico since Jul 30. We were told that it can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks for us to receive the packet 3. He said it could even be less than 4 weeks, just depends. SO far it's been 1 week.

I also don't think this is the appropriate place for this thread, but a lot of my friends think I am weird for trying to bring my fiance over this way. They don't understand I never thought i would ever go through something like this. But you know, things happen and we just go with the flow, right? I don't get ridiculed at all. My co-workers don't really seem to get the jist of this process so they are weireded out with the unfamiliar. Pretty normal. My family is totally happy, though. My dad loves my fiance. He says he is a very good guy, and he REALLy wants him to come here so we can have our lives together... Hope this helps :)

Yo se que los puedo cojer del internet pero no entiendo lo que dicen ustedes del barcode... si puedo usar las paginas del website de Ciduad Juarez? O no?? Tambien quiero saber como, mas o menos, tarda para que el paquete llege por correo. Ya estoy frustrada con esto!! Pero que puedo hacer verdad? Poco a poquito. Tambien tengo otra pregunta. Es posible que mi futuro esposo pueda ir a juarez para agarrar el paquete? oh na'ma' puede usar el paquete que va a recibir por correo?

K&O! THat's crazy to go there for just a day... have you thought about if the flight gets delayed? Maybe you have a sick day you can use at work. My concern is your job when you get back. Just be careful. Maybe you can explain to your job that it is a family emergency or something so that they can let you go for the time needed. Also, congratulations on the interview date! That's wonderful!

Jorge is getting my wedding ring within the next couple of weeks! He has been saving for it He asked me today that he needs my ring size by next Friday so he can get it ordered. He already has one picked out, but he won't describe it to me He says "it's a surprise." I'm sure i will love it. He talked once about getting both engraved. I think he mentioned his name on mine and my name on his or something like that.

Tomorrow Jorge is going to call Juarez, even though I already did. He is going to get somebody different and ask a few more questions to see if there is anything else that I can do to prepare!!!

I'm excited again!!!! We are THAT much closer ya'll!

I called CDJ today and talked to a very nice man. He told me that they had our case, and that they've had it for less than a week. SOOOOOOO The guy was trying to avoid telling me how long it would take for us to get a Packet 3. He was very hesitant. I'm guessing because it varies so much on a case by case basis. Well, after asking 4 different ways, he finally said it could take 2-3 months The poor guy felt bad, I'm sure, because he didn't want to tell me an answer that he wasn't certain on. Anywho... so I'm not going to beleive that because I know it was a ball park answer. He also told me that the applicant (jorge/beneficiary) is the one who actually receives the packet, not me. OK *sigh* Well, what do you guys think? I confirmed that Jorge will not need an interview appointment, and that he needs to go to the medical at least 1-2 days prior to the interview, which I already knew of. I also asked him if I could use the applications for the fiance packet on the website, he said that would be fine, but that he wouldn't recommend me fill them out until we receive the packet because each consulate may have different information from us. Well... Just wanted to share my story.

Nathalie got a call yesterday from the Embassy yesterday getting her police certificate. She called them back today...they needed to verify some information (parents, her name, birthday, etc). They said she can pick up packet 3 next week on Wednesday or Thursday. She is going for her blood tests and xray today. I believe she has an appointment on Friday for her medical.

I *might* have her call the Embassy tomorrow and see if she can schedule the interview without having the packet...since we'll pretty much have everything ready to go next week, I think.

Hey you guys! i called CDJ and they've had my case for a few days. YAY. Well. He wouldn't give me an estimate of how long it could take to get packet 3. Oh well. Here goes another waiting game. Also, he told me that the benificiary recieves the packet, not the petitioner. I even asked him that I've heard that some petitioners get it because of the "mail system" in mexico...he said that the applicant gets it, not the petitioner. So I'm confused. Oh well. I'm hoping it wont take that long...

Hi everybody Still here and avoiding any papework I shouldn't be doing that, but I feel so burnt out! Well, like Stevi, I too received my NVC hard copy today. And it is nice to see it my hands. We are still waiting for Thursday so that Jorge can call CDJ to get more information. If nothing good comes from it, I will just fill out the information this weekend. I need to rest my brain I found out today that I get my raise starting from Friday I'm so happy because I went from 10.75 to 12.00 and hour woohoo. They must love me at work It's great timing for it Jorge and I have been kind of fighting a lot lately. Probably that's why I'm in such a crapy mood lately. I feel so out of it, and I try to explain to him how I feel and he thinks that I am going to leave him, WHICH I AM NOT. I'm just very tired of this. I'm thinking my wording isn't very helpful I don't know what to do. I want this to be over so bad!

I'm still here! I haven't really been feeling too well. Having one of those down days for the past few days. I feel pooped! I think it's starting to really hit me how fast things are moving along. I haven't filled out any of the paperwork for the packet; I'm almost thinking of waiting 'til I get the packet in the mail because that way I can see what it is I need. I don't want to stress myself out for things I don't need. I feel stressed I had my review on Friday(for work) I can't believe I've been working for the bank for 2 years already! Time flies! I find out tomorrow what my raise is going to be. Hopefully it's a good one.

I went yesterdya to see the movie Step Brothers...It was crazy! AnD Gross! I want to catch that Pineapple express one, that looks funny .

That is very true Caity. We all did get pretty lucky! Four months isn't that shabby!! I totally can see the safety being an issue in Juarez. We're so close. :)

Gathering the paper work is very difficult for me. I kind of took some time off from preparation because I have had major head aches from all the sress I think I will start with filling out the rest of applications Sunday; I need time to rest! I'm soo excited. Jorge called Juarez today and they told him the packet usually takes about 3 weeks for it to arrive to the petitioner. He will tell me the rest of it later tonight.
