Praise be to God!
I received TWO EMAILS today from CRIS saying that THEY MAILED THE WELCOME NOTICE!
2 emails coz mine and my son's.
It makes me wonder though. They opened my son's RFE response more than a week before mine [according to CRIS], but they approved us on the same date. It could be that only ONE person is doing both of our cases. Whatever or whoever it is, I am so glad that we're approved! WOOOHOOO!

7 weeks is quite long considering that the CO said that there was no problem and you passed the interview.
In my case, I passed the interview too but was given the white slip. I found out that the problem was they're still waiting for my document verification stuff. But after 4 weeks I received my visa.
If I'm in your shoes, I'll call them everyday to know what's going on your case. Ask your USC fiance to call this number: 00163-230-1200, press 7, extension 5184 or 5185 and you may speak to Grace or Lorraine if they're still there coz that was a year ago when I was still processing my visa. Anyway that number is the Immigrant Visa unit and they should be able to help you.
Good luck and God bless!

They never asked to see my ring during my interview neither most people here, I believe. I don't know if they're trying to be observant and just saw it on my finger, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. So don't worry about it. Just make sure you have every proof of your genuine relationship.

For AOS, EAD and Advance Parole forms?
1. The A#-------- found in our visa is the alien number?
2. I-94 # is the departure number?
3. Am i going to use my husband's family name or my family name when I was still single to fill up the forms?
4. For I-131 form (Advance Parole Travel Document), do i really need to put specific date for the Date of Intended Departure?
Thank you all.
1) yes
2) yes
3) name you want to be on your greencard
4) no
I used my husband's family name and my middle name now is my family name when I was single.
Ditto.

How recent is recent? When my fiancee takes pay stubs to the interview, how recent do they need to be? Do they need original stubs, or copies?
Would stubs a month old suffice, or do they need to see like last week's stubs?
Thanks.
The most recent you can provide. It can be a month old or 2 months old or a week old. I brought original copies during my interview but like what everyone said, we were never asked for it. But it's not bad to bring just in case they would.

Update: I received an email from CRIS saying that they received my response to RFE today. That response was sent last June 18th and delivered on the 20th. It makes me wonder why they're saying that they just received it.
Anyway, mine and my son's case has both resumed now and we're AGAIN waiting.
Good luck to everyone who is still in this journey and Congrats to all who already got their GC approvals and received the GC itself.

^Yeah, it was actually 110 F yesterday at my place! Anyway, we are really glad too get some responses here. I know it makes her feel good knowing that she's not gonna be the only Filipina in this big state! Who knows, maybe some day we could all have a VJ get-together on a weekend at a lake. Bar-b-q, swim, fish, boat around....just hang-out and have a good time. We could even rent a karaoke machine so our women can sing 70's and 80's love songs together! lol
Count me in!
We live north of Austin, bout 15 min away.
I arrived here summer of last year and it was good coz I didn't find it hard adjusting to the weather. I immediately found a Filipina working as a cashier at HEB which made me feel like home.
I think Texas is the nicest place for a Filipina coz it's weather is very close to ours in the Philippines except for winter but it's tolerable. And yes I love the lakes here too. I love water so much that's why I enjoy summer more than any other season. I just wished that we're near the beach though.
Anyway, I think your fiancee will love it here. Just teach her to drive ASAP coz the public transportation here is nowhere as big in the Philippines, IMO.

Congrats to those who got their GCs and approvals! It's so nice to hear that someone from March filers are getting good news. On the other hand, I'm so sorry to hear that some of us [including me] are getting some bad news or not getting any news at all. But we will all get through this. Let's just be strong and be PATIENT B) *sigh*
Anyway, does anyone have some input about this? It has been 9 days since my RFE was delivered at the USCIS but got still no updates online. My son's was delivered a day after mine and the online status now is case resumed. Could there be any problems with mine?
Thanks!

Before I got here in the US, I knew that I'm gonna be facing this kind of issue coz both of my parents doesn't have a job but they own a small food business. Me and then-fiance talked about it and we set the rules. He first showed me how much is he spending for the bills and everything so that I'll have an idea since in the Philippines, most of us have this mentality that once you're earning dollars, we'll start to get rich
So after setting rules with hubby, I talked to my parents about it and let them understand the situation. I told them that we will help them and we'll try to send money as much as we can but they also need to realize that yes we are earning dollars but we're also spending dollars so that they would know life is not as easy as what they think it is in the US.
It wasn't easy coz at first my parents misunderstood me. They thought I'm being selfish until I got here and told them about (almost) our everyday living such as the prices of the food here, the utility bills payment we had and everything like that. It helped them realized it when it took me awhile to apply for my AOS coz we still need to save $1610 (me and my son) to do so. Now they know the situation, so they don't ask me for money anymore. They just wait if we have extra money to send to them. But of course, we send money in case of emergencies.
Now, for your situation. First you need to talk to your wife and like what everyone said here, set rules with her. Give her enough responsibilities in handling the money like having her pay the bills (of course from y'alls money), do the grocery shopping or just simply setting the budget. You should both know how much you can spend for everything every month or every paycheck (ie $1000 bills, $300 grocery, $200 personal pleasure, $100 savings account). Then whatever extra you have, you can split it in half and spend it however you want. Also, ask your wife that she talked to her family and let them understand the situation coz maybe your wife is spoiling them too much. It may be hard for her but her family needs to know the reality.
In short, don't let her get out of the way coz it's your married life is at stake.

Congrats to everyone who had approvals.
Updates about our application. I received an email from CRIS that they received my son's response to RFE and his case resumed, while there's no update for my case yet.
That's all!
Good luck to those who are still waiting like me.

Hello RFE friends
So, I sent the documents they wanted on June 11th, and I just now received a CRIS email saying that they received my papers and they are ready to resume the case processing. It's a relief.
Good luck to you all, I'll keep you posted!
So it was also 9 working days for you. That means that I should hear something from them on July 2nd.
Thanks for keeping us posted, as well as to prettyinpink.

Anyone have trouble getting a state ID card from a K1 visa?
They tell me they cannot issue one because of the expiration date on the I-94. I have SS number, payroll stubs, marriage certificate, passport, and birth certificate. They claim by the time we recieved the card the I-94 would be expired.
Have applied for AOS
I guess wait for the green card?
it depends on the State you are in. in TX, they just changed the regulation, October last year. you can't get State ID or DL until you have have at least the EAD. then present EAD and SSN together with your application.

I don't think it is registered. Usually nga we receives it in 2 weeks. This time my Mom sent me a very big package. Like a meter long box with a very big airplane toy inside for my 2-year-old.
My hubby said it may take longer this time coz the customs needs to check it thoroughly since it's a huge package. I hope that would be the case and I'm willing to wait. I'm thinking about the worst kasi na baka it got lost along the way. I hope not.
hehehehe baka lumakad papuntang US...joke lang...oo nga just wait na lang, darating din yan...mag woworry ka lang if galing US to Pinas
lumangoy yata! hehehe. i'll wait for another 2 weeks then i'll let you know. thanks for the response! :-D

Hi y'all!
My mom sent us a package from the Philippines to here in US. It was a big package and was sent last June 4th. They sent us packages before, about couple of times already and we usually receives it within 2 weeks but it has been over weeks now and we still haven't received it. I asked my Mom if they have tracking number but the only number they have on their receipt is not working when I tried tracking it at PhilPost website. Btw, it was sent through Philippine Postal office.
Has anyone here experienced this? How long did you received the thing? Or does anyone here know what could've happened to it? I hope it didn't got lost.
