  1. if documents would not arrive to chicago how checks could be cashed? and what u mean by confirmation number? they had everything in envelop and my adress on each form as well, i dont know whats going on... :crying:

im sorry, i didnt catch that part where you said that it was cashed. confirmation number is like a tracking number that you get from the postal office to track your package but never mind cos you're right, the checks would haven't been cashed if they didn't receive it.

i know this seems like forever to u but if you haven't heard from them on the date that they said, call them back and make sure that you get some information about it. of course, it's already a no-brainer but i can't really think of anything that you can do right now. just trying to make u feel better by knowing that we'll be with you through the process as AOS filers like u too. :innocent:

  2. I can only check my AOS,I tried to check my EAD but this is what I always see:

    "Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

    * Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."

Anyways,Good luck to all of us!!!!

Yeah, i got the same error message for both my EAD and AOS. Well, it's not really important cos i got good updates on the mail but it'd have been better if we can see the progress online.

Thats really sad for me everything i read here. I sent my AOS documents 4th march. TILL TODAY I DIDNT GET NOA and anything from USCIS.Im depressed because as i see nobody had this problem. I dont know what to do now. :crying: When i call info they say they have time till 23th april to send something (30 working days),and they dont know anything about my case.Checks were cashed month ago..... i dont see any other couple has this situation. Of course i wish good luck to everyone but why I haven't gotten anything yet???

That's sad to hear that Anabell. I haven't seen case like this here but there should be. I guess it'll just depend on who received your case or something along those line. I know this may sound dumb, but I just wanna make sure, did u send your documents with a confirmation number and knew for sure that it arrived in Chicago Lockbox?

I hope you'll hear some good news about your application. I feel for you.

  3. It's not really clear what to enter into that before/after transfer/interview field, there are 4 possibilities... I think the field should have a clear specific meaning. I'd go with days until interview from original filing date... if it's for historical purposes, people can see which ones are transfer to CSC and see how long those took, really the office that it's processed at is probably the most important thing for determining the timeline, everyone processed in CSC is likely to have a similar wait, where people who are processed at a local office are likely to have a shorter wait, but just how short, depends on the actual office.

u got point. so i need everyone's input about this. should we put the column for number of days or whatever suggestion you have in there.

andyjona can you add me to your MARCH AOS list?

    Thanks

    you're added.

  4. andyjona - If you call them before 90 days after they have recieved the paper work then they simply ask you to wait and then call if you dont hear anything before those 90 days.

Has anyone tried calling USCIS regarding the case status online? I looked at their FAQs and said that if we can't see our case status online, we should call the Service Center where we submitted our application.

Oh! That sucks! it's just so annoying that we can't see our case status online and how our case is moving and everything like that. Hmp! I guess we'll just have to wait for whatever letter we'd receive in the mail.

  5. AndyJona, when i was going to bed last night, i thought of something that i know i would like to see on the speadsheet. I think it would be helpful to both those who are looking for an appropriate and curret average as well as future filers who want to look back at the track record. What about having an average (that updates as people enter their information as they get it) between the average number of days between when their biometrics was done and when the case was transferred to CSC or when they got an appt. I know that would require to put in the date in the spreadsheet, but i think it would be helpful for those who are nervous and want to see what the average is amongst other march filers. I think it would deff. be helpful for future members too. Just a suggestion.

Did you mean the number of days from the Biometrics was done to the case transferred or the Interview date?

yes, the average number of days so those who are still waiting know what to expect, and those in the future will be able to see what happened to all of us in march, and what our wait looked like.

Ok, I already added a column for # (number) of days before transfer/interview date. Due to this change, I'd like to request everyone to put the date when their case was transferred to CSC/VSC instead of just Yes or No.

    Thanks!

  7. I tried to update the spreadsheet, but it didnt work. maybe someone else will have some luck.

I tried to update the spreadsheet, but it didnt work. maybe someone else will have some luck.

what was the problem you encountered so that i can check?

when I looked at it, you already have your updates in there.

if anyone encountered some problems with the spreadsheet pls let me know cos it is under my account and i can change settings on it. thanks!

  8. In my opinion, I think they may have separated the I-765 from all your other application for whatever reason, so I guess it won't really hurt if you send the I-797C for the I-485 to them ASAP and have him take his Biometrics on the scheduled date as well.

Ive got a quick question. My dad just called me and told me that we got a letter from homeland security. I told him to open it, and he said that they are requesting 'proof' that my husband has a green-card processing in his name in order for them to process the I-765 EAD. I sent the following together as part of the AOS package, the Advanced parole I-131, the EAD I-765, and the I-485 Application to register permanent residence, i sent it all together, and thus AT THE TIME i did not have the I-797C Notice of Action on the I-485, now they are requesting that i send in a copy of the I-797C, and that they will begin to process his I-765 EAD within 90 days of receiving it. Why are they requesting evidene when i sent all the information together????? And Alfredo and i are going for his biometrics tmrw and on the biometrics letter it says that the biometrics is for BOTH the I-485 and the I-765, so what do you guys think i should do? Just go to the biometrics...and not send anything in? Because on the instructions for sending in the AOS package, it says that you can send it all in together, and now the want copies,.... which is going to push us back..... this happen to anybody....????? Any advice?????

Thanks to those who post their updates on the spreadsheet. We now have 59 applicants on the list, including the 3 late-Feb filers. Good luck to everyone!

  9. We live south of Houston and they had her set up to do the biometrics at the Sugarland ASC and that was where we went. They were very nice and it went quick.

Oh ok, I was just asking cos I am in North Of Austin and our Biometrics is in San Antonio. I'm thinking that maybe you had your wife's at San Antonio as well. It is a 2-hr drive from us so I'll just prolly go there on the scheduled date.

Yeah Pflugerville is kinda way out of the way. Surprised they don't have a ASC in Austin since it is the state capitol. Good luck.

Ya, that's kinda weird that there's no ASC in Austin, but thanks for the info and Good Luck! :-)

  10. What do you guys think about an extra column on the spreadsheet? I was thinking to add the type of visa everybody had when arrived here. It seems that the time line is a bit different for K1/K3 and B1/B2 or H1B for example.

The spreadsheet looks great; congrats for the idea.

I still can not check my status online.

Good luck to all and happy waiting.

Good one. I added it on the spreadsheet. I hope everyone can indicate their Visa type.

  12. Just got back in from trying to do the biometrics early. They had no problems with being early and got it done quickly. In fact they were very nice about it and said that it is good to do it early and they wish more would do so. The people were friendly and patient with my wife.

While at the SS office the lady looked up my wife on the Government database and even showed me my wifes info. She said she had to see if she was ok'ed to work and it showed she was. Not real sure why she has not received the EAD card yet but that made me happy to see it in their database. Pretty much now just wait to receive the cards in the mail now as her case has been moved to the California center so there will be no interview it seems.

Which ASC your wife had her Biometrics?

Miyaki, did u already receive approval notice for I-130? I received mine a couple of days ago and i just wanted to know if its normal to get approval for I-130 in about a month or CSC is processing really fast.

Hi visa check, no I have not received an approval notice for the I-130. I have only received the notice of action.

so i guess i got my approval notice for I-130 pretty fast.

I added you on the list of March 2009 AOS Filers.
