  1. So, I went to my going away party that I didn't want to go to last. Needless to say, I called Jeremy (SO) when I got home and drunkenly sang Journey and dropped my Big Mac on the floor :(

  2. I have a dilemma. So I'm obviously entering the US very soon and getting married not much longer after that. Okay so here it is. I'm from a Dutch family as such I have a very Dutch last name. And my first name is Janka. So, in my Canadian view of things I would have kept my last name because there is only 15 of us kicking around here in Canada so I would like to see our family name go for as long as possible. However, since I'm moving to the US I don't want to be labeled as a foreigner (conceited I know) and perhaps be missing out on job opportunities and what not.

Long story short, I won't be keeping my last name because 1. it's the proper old fashion thing to do and 2. I don't want people to assume I don't speak english or whichever. But with my new married name its just going to feel like my name is cut off. lol You can't go from 13 letters to 5. I definitely can't do the hyphen because my whole name doesn't fit on my credit/debit cards as is. Does any of this make sense? I don't think it does..lol

  3. Keep your originals always. If they explicity ask for originals give it to them but for the most part you should always issue photocopies (boarding passes etc.) and certified copies (divorce decree's, marriage cert's etc.)

For petition submission a photocopy of a certified copy is recommended. No need to send the actual certified copy.

    My bad lol

  4. #### facebook...lol no offense. I have more than enough beefs with facebook or more or less the people on my facebook so I got rid of it completely like 3 weeks ago. Have not looked back.

  5. They are checking to see if you meet the requirement of having met within 2 years. I would personally include a photocopy of the passport (cover to cover), photocopies of travel documents, hotel receipts and what not. Photos of the two of you together. I did not submit photos with the date digitally printed on. I simply wrote the date on the back of the photo, where we were, and who was in the photo. If your fiancee has travel stamps in her passport for coming to visit you, include those too.

  6. Okay, I gave up on reading half way through (to be honest)

I had to get the following shots for immigration: Gardasil, Twinrix, and Adacel.

I keep seeing this mention to Hep A...why don't you just get Twinrix its cheaper (I think) and covers both. I paid a total of like $75 maybe less for Twinrix for both shots.

  7. Yeah, I didn't even know they had a website until I had the medical. I did everything with them through e-mail. It's probably just a website error. They can usually fit you in so I wouldn't worry too much. Wait until about 2PM and see if they e-mail you back. If not e-mail them again. It's not going to hurt anyone if you e-mail them lots :) lol

  8. Well, I e-mailed the Consulate after seeing what happened to wkz here lol and they were like "Oh we mailed it on the 7th" but then I get an e-mail from Canada Post (I signed up my tracking number online) that said this:

2009/08/12 11:03 VANCOUVER Item arrived at postal facility

lol The reply from the Consulate came in at 10:35 now I want to be nice and just say its a weird coincidence but really? lol Half hour after they reply to me it makes it to the post office. Strange.

  9. So, I went to my mom's house last night (she lives in a small town) and you have to go through Headingly and sure enough thats where you were lol I was going to take a picture but I didn't want to get out of the car.
