Here is a novel idea, don't listen to anybody here telling you not to cancel. Just cancel the k1 and then file a cr1. This way you can wait for 12,18 or 24 months for approval! Seriously though, the AP is needed to protect us USC's, I personally am happy they do this automatically with almost every MENA country.

I don't think it was your response about switching to a CR1 that was an issue. I'm sure you know that as well.

It sounds like you were used for the GC. Start the process for the divorce, I don't think you can do a annulment, if I remember reading right about this, you have a very short time frame after marriage to do that. In most states I do beleive when you dont know the address of your soon to be ex, you can just run a add in the paper for like 2 weeks or something.

Formulaeone, you can just wait till you're divorced and then apply to remove conditions without your husband. Just make sure and get divorce finalized before your card expires.

Just go to the US embassy in any country and renounce your US citizenship, it's that easy. At some point I know I am going to do this as this country is starting to really suck....We should start calling it the United States of Mexico!!!

I'm a US citizen so I didn't have to wait for a visa number to become aviable. As a green card holder you don't qualify for any kind of imigration benifits other then being here. Depending on the type of visa you came here on you will have to wait till your a citizen then you can upgrade your petition.

Umm he will have to go back home I beleive and apply for him from there. As a green card holder you can apply for him but it can take years for a visa to become aviable. Then again I could be wrong... I am sure others with more information will chime in.
