  1. Thank you!! And good luck 🙌 the issue was with a particular requirement from the certificate from Argentina, it needed to have a certain specification that I didn't know about but it was detailed on the Embassy in Argentina website. I didn't think to check on that one, since I wasn't applying from there. I got an envelope from the hotel I was staying at, and then took it to the document drop off point that they detail on their website! It was free to do that way, but you can also use PostNord. 2. Update: After getting a 221(G) letter (not related to the affidavit of support) I got the approval today! 2 days after my visa interview. The officers did not ask me for the I-134 forms at all 😅 but if they did I'm sure I would've had all they needed. Thanks everyone for your help!
  3. Okay so we're back on the waiting game it seems 😅 They all treated it like it should be that way. I'm wondering how long it will take, because I see all sorts of things online! But thank you for your kind words, means a lot!
  4. Hi all, I had my interview two days ago and was informed that while everything looked good, I was missing a police certificate (I did bring one, but it was not the appropriate version they required) so I was handed a 221(g) letter and was told "it should be easy to fix once I sent it". I was so anxious I forgot to ask about how long after I submitted it I would hear back 😔 But, I sent my document yesterday and under USTravelDocs it comes up as 'Delivered to post' (it says it for passport so maybe I'm miss-understanding something, but the email from the currier the embassy uses told me to check on that website), and they also told me they would deliver the docs to the embassy by EOD yesterday too. Does anyone have any experience with this? Getting the refusal but having the embassy keep your passport? How long did it take to get your approval afterwards? My interview was in Stockholm, if that's helpful. Thank you everybody in advance!
  5. Yes!! That sounds like you also needed some of those documents based on what sources of income/assets your U.S. partner included in the form. Thank you and good luck when it's time for your interview!
  6. You're right! I wonder how the location of the interview will affect the documents. I am doing mine in Sweden, I assume that's a pretty low risk country in the Embassy's eyes, but I'm from South America so maybe that will make them ask for more 😅 I'll definitely add a review of how it goes as there aren't many now, it's so hard to find information on some embassies so I want to help the next person out!
  7. Thank you so much!! I've got such a stack of documents printed at this point and my fiancé sent me all those docs you mention and more, haha. Interview is on Monday, so crossing fingers 🤞
  8. Hey!! Thank you for sharing all that!! Does that mean that we don't need to present every document listed in the instructions you linked to? I was looking through them last night, and that kicked off my confusion 😅
  9. Hi all, I've got my interview this upcoming Monday, and my fiancé and I are finalising his I-134, but I'm confused as to what documents will qualify towards the evidence we need to present. Anyone who has gone through it can list the documents you presented with the package, and if you would do anything different? I'm seeing conflicting information online about what works and what doesn't. Thank you!
  10. Hi I had my medical exam in Denmark about a month ago, since I wanted to make sure that my results had time to reach the embassy by the time I had my interview (about 1.5 months in advance) and you don't really need to go get any of them now, like someone said before, if you are missing any vaccines they'll give you the 1st one of a series of vaccines or boosters as you need to. Also, I believe vaccinations are no longer "required" for the K1 visa, but are helpful to have before you go anyway, as you need them for the change of status process. So if you've gone to the appointment to discuss the vaccines, they would've told you, but I don't think there's any need to book the medical appointment too far out from your appointment, especially if you don't have the NOA2 yet. Hope that helps!
  11. Hi!! I am doing my interview out of Stockolm soon, and I can tell you that after my case was transferred to the Embassy by NVC (at the time, in March/April) that was taking about a month, it took less than a week for my fiancé to receive the Packet 3 or Embassy checklist. He got it via email, we never received it by mail, although I don't think you're supposed to. To prepare for the medical, I'd recommend just having your vaccination records in order and at hand, and if you need any other documents, the medical office will let you know what you need to bring after you book your appointment. I had to bring my glasses/contacts, 3 passport-style photos and documentation from a chronic illness. The I-134 I'd recommend having the American in your relationship start collecting everything now, so it's easy to fill out, and you will need to bring W2s, letter of employment, etc, to your interview appointment.
