  1. i really have no idea on this, that's why i'm getting worried myself..the inputs are really different from each post, i'm thinking of leaving the PI published books and bringing the books from US (fedex by hubby from US)..that way, it's safer.

hmm..about the gapuz reviewers, i don't think it's wise if you bring them, i mean, i'm no expert but it's best to play safe right..

iwan mo nalang, i also called my cuz in LA and she said there are tons of books (newer versions pa) NCLEX sa library available locally so i really don't have to worry..

i guess i'm down to bring 3 books in my bbb and 1 book on my handcarry so i wont get bored with the long flight..

sa mga reviewers sila strict, so i guess iba ung book na dala mo noon or hindi pa sila strict dat time..better safe na lng, tama ung cousin mo na dto na lang at latest edition pa, i guess you just donate na lang yang books mo at dadami pa ang makikinabang at dahil sa kabaitan mo, you will pass the NCLEX for take 1, say mo???hala be a good samaritan, para meron ka extra gift kay Santa this Xmas..lol..

have you check the airlines about the plane they will use to LV, kasi if meron ka BBB , ikaw mismo carry to another gate sa Hawaii, but if suit case lng madali hilahin di ba..

grabe, few days to go at fly na beauty mo ..be safe and have a stress free day..

  2. Welcome in the Family !!! you are in the right track, feel free to share and ask anything esp with your visa journey. I am Tagalog but met a new ( BisDak ) friends here in Texas, They are wild but sweet and nice girl..We do chat conference everynight for us and day time in Phils, she may join and start a new friendship while she's there.

  3. hi!

i would like to ask for clarifications on getting the vaccines with the civil surgeon.. when is the best time to get the needed vaccinations? is it before getting married or after getting married?

i will be arriving on NC on nov 11, and will be staying there until 3rd week of january until my fiance comes home from his current deployment then i will transfer to NJ where he is living.. can i get the vaccinations while waiting for him or do we need to get married first to proceed with the vaccination. unsure.gif

and will it be also a problem if i get my shots in NC and file AOS at NJ later? thanks a lot!

did you get all the shots in SLEC? try call Dr. Arnold after your wedding or after you marriage contract so you can use ur new last name..make sure if you apply for marriage, you can get asap, i think there's an exemption for citizen in the service..

  4. Balikbayan boxes are allowed but still subject to the 23kg limit. Books are allowed but they must be original. Photocopied books as well as burned copies of reviewers are not allowed.

my books are all originals so i guess wala akong problema dun jose rizal right? do they open it (the box) if they want to check if it's original or not? kasi if they do, might as well re-packed my things kasi i placed the books on the very bottom part of the box..what do you think?

about original books, if you receipts of bookstore, better bring it,so when they check it,you have proof..1 BBB and 1 suitacase is allowed but make sure na 23kilos..I just called my friend here..actually jan lng namn sa atin strict, pagdating mo dto sa US, dun mo na makukuha lugggage mo sa baggage claim at kung san dun ang sundo mo.un ang na-notice ko ha..im not sure sa iba..dun lng sila minsan strict kung anu mga documents or visa mo..

  5. what box do you mean? give me your number on private message.. I will ask my friend who brought a lot of her stuff and I will call you.

same to you girl, I love shoes..my hubby said he married the second Imelda Marcos..lol..I just gave most of my shoes and clothes too cause I am afraid that my hubby will have a heart attack if he will see my luggage at hte airport..lol :jest: just think na lang na mabibili mo na lng mga gamit mo dto.. sabi nga nila pag palagi ka nagbibigay mas malaki ang balik..di ba? :wow:

a balikbayan box? hahaha..i know, this sound crazy..i guess i over packed?

or should i just opt to bring one suitcase..

may NCLEX books pa kasi akong inilagay sa box kaya i think it was reasonable to bring one. if i pack it all in the suitcase, for sue excess weight yun..i dont wanna bring 2 suitcase either..

balikbayan box is allowed I guess. better ask the airlines..NCLEX books???gurl ask about this , I am not sure but I heard they are strict about this also, I am not sure ha..my friend here in Texas, she brought 1 box and 1 suitcase..BBB is fine as long as the weight and size is fine..

  6. Thank you guys.. Hey, It is not my annulment I am very happy with my husband here in Georgia. It was for his freind asking about annulment there and the girl gave 3000$ price for annulment. He asked me if it is real..

what??? thats too much, others are for her shopping spree though lol

    I second the motion..poor guy!!!

  7. i must admit i'm having a hard time choosing what shoes to bring and what not to bring. i soooooooo love my shoes.. :pop: my cousins have flocked over my shoes since yesterday!! hahaha..and they're all over my jeans too!! hahaha...i guess i have to accept the fact i can't bring my whole closet with me. <_<

you think bringing a box is too much?

what box do you mean? give me your number on private message..

:wow:

  8. I noticed that you are already a jetsetter so I don't need give much advice re: checking of stuff at Manila, actually they are more strict than US airports, US airports are particular only with your visa, they don't check much about your stuff so you can bring what you want as long as you can carry it and you can still walk with poise..lol!!! kasi baka maging "kampanerang kuba ang drama mo..lol

ang sama naman if i look kawawa when i arrive in LV, hahaha..my husband would scream in horror! :girlwerewolf2xn:

sa sobrang excited he watched me pack my stuffs yesterday, hahaha..

pero hindi ko rin natapos kasi he wanted dried fish for pasalubong, which i said was so last minute of him to ask. anyways, i'll finish up packing as soon as i get him his "danggit".

hey! you still want that otap? hahahaha...

don't bother gurl if you can't make it, I was just teasing..just bring your important stuff esp your favorite clothes or shoes kahit mura mga damit dto , im sure meron ka particular stuff..what airlines mo ba?don't bring too much handcarry para di ka na magbitbit sa plane, bring jacket din baka malamig na that time, ako handcarry ko ay ang packet, jacket, 1 magazine, 1 shirt (incase gusto mo magpalit, but di ko dn nagamit)at cellphone, un kasi malinaw na instruction ng jowa, at isang maleta lang talaga ako kahit allowed me ng 2..but if you'll bring so much stuff , better check the weight na jan pa lng sa cebu para di ka na magbawas sa airport..

I have Aunt nga pala sa Vegas at nagkaroon na me new friend na taga CEbu din..

  9. Hi Gurl, Hawaii was one of my lay over last January but Guam was my POE..Hawaii is not quite big but I heard they have nice people from the Immigration, about the baggage, its depend on the airlines, if they are using the same plane going to LV, I guess you don't need to get worry about your stuff anyways they will tell on the plane if you need to transfer you luggage or so. about excess baggage, if it is okey from the Phils no worry about it. and the pocket money, if you will do some shopping i guess you need some but if for some snacks no need to bring much, I wasn't able to spend $3 but I had $220 that time..have a safe trip..

hey yankee!! yup, mu flight is coming up..mixed emotions, but just glad the whole visa process is over..

    thanks for the well-wishes!

  10. As I understand, you can apply the removal of condition 90days before the 2nd anniversary of your GC or 90days before the expiration and for Citizenship is 90days before the 3rd year anniv. I guess if you submit earlier the USCIS won't mind it or they will just process it and let you know their actions.. If you're not convince with my thoughts better call the 1-800numbers of USCIS.. goodluck on your application.

have a good day and God Bless!!!

  11. Hello to all,

I just wanna ask what is the best time to attend CFO Seminar, Before your Interview or After your Interview (when you have a Visa) because just thinking time consuming if you attend for a Seminar before Interview and get a Certification and Back again when you have your visa for the sticker, so Just asking your Opinion fellow Pinay what Is the best time for CFO Seminar, Is it OK to attend a Seminar when you receive your Visa so you don't need to go back for the sticker can I get my sticker on the same day!!

And Is it true that you have to call 4 to 5 days before you make an Appointment for Seminar, Can I walk-In?. Thank You in advance for a reply... And to all who read my Post,. I am Asking to you'r humble prayer for my Interview on November 3, (Monday).. Anyone who have the same Schedule just meet you there at the Embassy., God Bless to Us..

If you live in Manila, there are 2 places to attend to, one is near De Lasalle taft and other one is in Quezon city. I attended mine at PRISM which is near De Lasalle taft, I went there around 8:30am and finished around 10am and went to CFO office for sticker. It would be better to attend your seminar after the delivery of your visa so it won't be hassle for you to go back..I would advice too to go early so you can hear all the matters that they will discuss cause if you're late they won't repeat again.

but if you live in Cebu, take the advice of MJ3Lasvegas

  12. hi everybody..had a long day today..went to SMEF-COW and CFO, bought a balikbayan box for stuffs i need to bring to the US, paid bills and some other side-trip errands for my mom..but even if i'm really tired, there are a lot of stuffs i need answers to, i do hope you guys don't mind..

    to begin..

i'm bound to leave on the 10th of november for Las Vegas, my POE happens to be Hawaii (Honululu to be exact). i haven't been to this airport ever, went through LAX and JFK before but never hawaii..

    *are the immigration staff friendly?

*is hawaii a good POE (based on personal experience if any..)

*i have 4hours until my flight to Las Vegas from Hawaii, IS THAT ENOUGH TIME for immigration process/clearing?

*do i get my bag BEFORE i head for immigration (POE interview or something) or AFTER?

*do i need to check in my luggage AGAIN for my flight to Las Vegas?

*do i need to pay for excess baggage from hawaii to las vegas since this is already a domestic flight? (considering the domestic flight baggage allowance..)

*is hawaii airport that big for me to literally get LOST? lol..i know this sounds silly..

i'm really sorry for bugging you guys this late, i know some are spending time with family right now..but i'd appreciate some helpful tips on this little problem of mine.

    thanks for future answers.. :innocent:

i need to know from your experiences, i have tons of errands lined up and needs to be done, but i can't seem to do anything coz i don't wanna leave the house thinking the delivery man from delbros might arrive..

  16. I am sitting next to my SO at Hobby airport in Houston. We left Managua at 6:40 am, easy, no overweight, no problems at all! We flew on Continental and arrived to Houston George Bush International airport at 11 am! Custom was sooooooooooo easy!!!! we waited a couple of minutes in line, a nice officer grab my passport, my papers, joked around a lil bit and said the magic words "welcome to America." He called a security guy that took me to a lil room on a side, there were 3 more ladies sitting, after 5 minutes at the most they called me, made me sign (write my name) a paper and took my index fingerprint and gave me a white slip explaining to me when I had to remove conditions... They were really nice, in less than 10 minutes we were out of the airport on our way to our Final Destination

    Welcome to Houston!!

best wishes on your wedding day!!

  18. its me again with yet another question. i know i saw this somwhere but cant find it again. Is it true that if you file for your ead along with your aos then the fees will be $1010.00???? he already has an EAD which is going to expire in 2 weeks. so when we are filing do we apply for a new ead or renew his old one. AND will there be a price difference in doing that??????

As I understand, whether you apply for EAD and AP or not still you will pay $1,010 for aos that includes the biometrics..Senior citizen has no biometrics fee so less for that..
