Thanks for this info..you are an angel..
Hi, We did the I-693A but took a while because I was busy and also needed to find a us civil surgeon. You might have some difficulty getting the office person to understand that all you need is a vaccination form filled out and not an exam, but once they ask the doctor and the doctor says yes, you just have to know how much they will charge for it. I found a range of prices between $25-$100 without exam. But in our case I made one mistake, I did not go to the board of health first. The MMR shot was $67 whereas at the public health office it was $12. If you don't know how to find your board of health, google it. You will save yourself a nice chunk of money. I wish I could get my $55 back! -
NBI Clearance is enough with United STates Travel..tell your GF/Wife to tell NBI people that she is travelling to United STates..If she worked in other country she needs to get the Police Certificate too. When is her Interview? Tell her Cellphone or any technical device is prohibited at the US embassy so to avoid the hassle don't bring her cellphone..Goodluck..u can send me questions .what is her visa?
Hi does anyone from Philppines know if a NBI clearance is enough for her ds-230 and embassy interview? Or does she also need police clearances for each city she lived in the philppines? why would they need NBI then if it covers all of Philppines? thanks for any help
Seminar for Filipina fiancee
in Philippines
Posted
Yep, there is a seminar but it was not very informative or helpful. The information provided was very basic and mostly common sense. They showed a thirty minute video about an extremely cruel man who made his wife a housekeeper. When I came here, I didn't encounter any of the situations that were discussed at the seminar. The seminar didn't teach me anything that I can use now. This site is more useful than the seminar I attended. The reason why I attended the seminar was I saw a small paper with ads of the seminar. The Consul nor the people of the Embassy didn't mention about it. The Immigration people at the airport didn't even asked for my certificate of attendance of the seminar. I already applied for my Adjustment of Status, our lawyer did not bother to ask that either.
I would suggest that your fiancee will ask this matter to the people at the embassy.
