  1. First I want to thank this community! The advice, the pool of knowledge available here and just the feeling of belonging that most members project is such a source of comfort during this crazy process. I don't know if Jaycel and I would have maintained our sanity if we didn't have our fellow travelers to lean on. So thank you all so very much! 8 Months and 2 weeks from application received to card in hand. (And exactly 4 years from the day we started talking ) No RFEs and EAD in 51 days. Pretty happy with that timeline! Now we get a break from USCIS for the next 21 months Our full timeline in case it's helpful to anyone else: I-129F Receipt Date: 09/18/2023 I-129F RFE: 05/20/2024 I-129F RFE Response Received: 06/01/2024 I-129F Approved: 06/04/2024 I-129F Sent to DOS: 06/11/2024 DOS Case # Assigned: 07/01/2024 K1-FTP: 07/16/2024 Embassy Interview: 08/13/2024 (Approved) Visa in Hand: 08/20/2024 Entered the US: 08/30/2024 Married: 10/25/2024 AOS Receipt Date: 11/18/2024 Biometrics: 12/26/2024 EAD Approved: 01/08/2025 Interview Scheduled: 06/16/2025 Interview Attended: 07/23/2025 I-485 Approved: 06/16/2025 Green Card Received: 08/01/2025
  2. You will not get a notice that your file transferred
  3. It's all up to the local Field Office and their backlog. Is your office Hartford?
  4. Thank you! I guess I forgot to update this thread but our interview was 07/23/2025 and we got verbal approval at the end of the interview. The case status changed to "Case Approved" 24 hours later on the portal. We got notification 5 days later, on the 29th that the card was produced and according to USPS informed delivery, the card will be arriving today! I hope you guys get your interview scheduled notification soon!!
  5. That's exactly what happened at our interview last Wednesday and 24 hours later we got the approval notice on the portal. Hoping it's the same for you!

  7. We helped a friend do this. It happened to them as well but when we went in the portal and checked their profile, the address had been corrected.
  8. USPS Informed Delivery noticed popped this afternoon and it looks like Jaycel's card should be here on Friday! 🎉🎉
  9. Yes if they filed the I-84 on the immigrant's behalf they must file the I-865 and it has to be done on a paper form, by mail
  10. Great news! Now you know you can get what you need Keep us all updated on your journey!
  11. Since I needed Court Certified copies, I had to call the county clerk's office to find out what to do. I had to mail them a request for a certified court record for anything in my name and include a payment of $15 (I think) to do the process. I also included a self addressed express mail envelope to get it back to me.
  12. Oh sorry from your post I thought you guys had one. Then just the I-864 sponsor has to fill it out and send it in.
  13. Yes it needs to be filed and the joint sponsor needs to file the I-865 as well. It needs to be filed by mail. Here's the link to the I-865 page on the USCIS website which has all the instructions: https://www.uscis.gov/i-865
  14. I lived in CDO for a year in 2022 & 2023 and never hurt for transportation. Grab is a great option most times and it is extremely reasonable. For 2 weeks, especially with a new baby I would not risk you driving around. If you want to hire a driver to be available to you, that's also a viable option but I would suggest your Filipina be the one who hires them for the two of you. Honestly, Grab worked great for me and Jaycel that whole year. The only tough thing about Grab is when it's raining hard, there will be a delay in getting one to pick you up because that's when everyone takes taxis.
  15. You can fill it out but don't sign it until you are ready to file the whole AOS package. You can put the address that will be accurate at the time you file the AOS.
  16. Don't get ahead of yourself... wait to see what you can find with the courts and then formulate how to outline it to USCIS. Mine was actually a felony when charged - But it had nothing to do with any of the Adam Walsh Act offenses or anything violent as specified by USCIS. So it had no affect on my eligibility to be a petitioner. My best advice would be to read the questions regarding this on the I-129F as they list certain "Specified Crimes" that would preclude you from being a petitioner. Also read the instructions surrounding this in the instruction sheet very carefully. In fact I would become an A+ student of the entire instruction packet for the form.
