Just a quickie to let you guys know I got my green card yesterday!
-
Hey guys!
I just checked the status of my case on the USCIS website and after weeks of not being able to see anything this is what I just read:
Post Decision Activity
On August 31, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.
I'm assuming I have been approved. Wow! That was quick. Now to wait for the new green card in the mail right???

This is very strange, I can't still see the status of my application on the USCIS website... I'm starting to think something is wrong...
-
That's strange that you got the same number on your bio appointment as your NOA1. I've never heard that before. Perhaps it would do good for you to call USCIS and ask to speak with an immigration officer. Maybe they can give you the right number or clarify why your number hasn't changed. It should be different.
I'm sorry, I realized the number on my NOA 1 is different from the Appointment Notice (so I guess I'm alright there), however the number still doesn't work when I try to view my status online. How annoying!

Hi Guys!
Just a quickie. Got my biometrics done the other day. it was a painless experience, I was the only person here so it took 5 minutes. The lady who took my biometrics was very friendly, she complimented my tattoos and we had a little chat. That was pretty much it. i was out of there in a heartbeat.
However, i keep on trying to check the status of my application on the USCIS website and it keeps on telling me that my case number cannot be found. It is quite irritating. I use the number on my ASC Appointment notice which is the same number that appeared on my NOA 1 and nothing. is anybody having any issues with it?
Hope everybody is doing great and i look forward to reading your posts.

Looks like Jamericanlove missed line and updated AMINESBABY...
Correcting formation yourself, please ask another VJ member to help you do so.

YAY! Biometrics letter just arrived. Can you please update the list?
Notice date: 07/26/2010
Appointment date: 08/11/2010
Thanks!!!

Hey, the number on the NOA1 doesn't work to access case status. You need the one on the bio letter. I'm sure yours will be on it's way soon and then you'll be able to check.
Thanks! I just realized this after reading the letter again Hopefully the Bio appointment is just around the corner.

Hey guys! I have been trying to get some info about my application on the USCIS website but it says that the case status cannot be found. Is this happening to anyone out there? I received the letter a week ago.
-
Sure....what's the date on the NOA1?
The date is 07/15/2010 but it arrived today :-)

Hello!
Package has been sent! Could you please ad me to the July list?
-
Hi guys!
I'll be mailing my package tomorrow, I tried to mail it via FedEx, however I was unaware they don't mail to P.O boxes... Weird but hey! Anyways, i will see if USPS has some sort of overnight service tomorrow.
I'd like to be added to the July list if that is ok, it'll be awesome to keep on track of how we are doing!
I look forward to seeing good news in here.
Good luck to us all!!!

FYI, possibility for having an interview at ROC is like 5%. Most people get approved without an interview
Thank you so much for the info!!! ;-)
Egads, fire. My apologies. I accidentally forwarded a friend's facebook link instead of the one I wanted to give you, which was a guide for evidence etc.! LOL. Sorry about that: here it is

Thank you for the link! :-)

I tried to update the timeline a few times but never worked that's why I have my timeline in my signature... Anyways,I'll try again and see if it works this time.
Thank you ;-)

Hi everybody!
After two years absence I'm back, It is good to see some of the old members here :-)
I'm about to apply for ROC on July 10th. The situation is pretty much the same as when we applied, however my husband and I are now the proud parents of a 5 month old baby girl. I originally submitted a lot of evidence but I'm just wondering if I have to submit pretty much the same stuff, pictures, notarized affidavits, home owner joint title, birth certficate of our daughter, health insurance, joint tax return, bank accounts...
We changed locations, we bought a house in San Francisco and I was wondering if anybody on this forum has had their interviews there.
Any information on the matter would be great and good luck to everybody!

Well, as a VJ veteran, I know that you will expect that the first thing you hear is advice to read the guides. They are invaluable.
As to the specifics you outlined: your move will not affect anything (shouldn't even affect where you file I don't think) and your purchasing a house together will show both co-habitation and financial mingling of assets and presumably, debt
For ROC, USCIS is not looking for affidavits of support or anything like that. Just proof that you are living together as a married couple. Financial co-mingling is a big part of that as you will see from the guides. The first pinned article up above, details a conversation that one VJ member had with a USCIS (Vermont) big wig recently ... check that out too!
And good luck!
AND... you've been here for a while... please so that your story can help others just as you are asking for help.
Thanks.
Thanks so much. My timeline is already filled in ;-) You can see it in my signature.

Hi guys!
It's been a while since I posted on this forum, pretty much since I was granted my two year green card. Anyways, I know I'm a little bit aheah of time but I was just wondering about removing conditions next year and how much the situation has changed since I adjusted status originally.
My husband and I recently purchased our first home, and we are also expecting our first baby (due in january 2010). We both work and although we relocated from LA to SF pretty much everything else is the same.
How all the new developments affect our case when we apply for removing of conditions??
Thank you in advance for your responses!
I guess nobody knows...
Thanks anyways!

Thanks for your responses everyone! Unforgettable fire - did the officer ask for proof? What did you have to show him?
I didn't have to show any proof. They didn't ask for anything since I already submitted all the proof when i applied for AOS.
The officer was satisfied with all the documents (I.e joint finances, tenancy agreement, recent purchases together like two cars, etc...). All she asked when we went in was to swear to tell the truth as well as our IDs and SSNs.
GOOD LUCK EtherealVocalist!!!
