  1. Thanks guys, we found out online so far. Something to celebrate at Thanksgiving although surely only the thanks for the waiting go to the VSC lazy butts.

We will continue only with CR1 (both petitions approved)

It's huge Charisma...Huge!!! I hope I don't get approved so I could keep arguing about why this process is taking so long with my wife!!!

How did you find out about the NOA2?

  2. WHO got transferred recently? Not aware of more than one case...

I am a March filer for both the I-130 and I129.

I was approved on Oct 31st! I know several March filers were transferred to California recently. Mine was approved by Vermont just before they began transferring files.

Hopefully they will start approving faster with California helping out with the work load!

    Best of luck!!

  3. Awful. Very sorry about that. I hope you guys soon get approved.

I travel to the Netherlands every 2 months. Everytime I come home they ask me the purpose of my visit in the Netherlands. I say, "I was visiting my husband, while we're waiting for immigration to process his case" They ALWAYS say "why? he's from a visa waiver country" Then I tell them my story and they say, "Oh yeah...well, if he said 'wife' then that's probably why."

They know my husband is Muslim because on his passport it says the country of birth. From that they can derive the religion...also, his name being Ajmal. LOL And just to clarify, his religion WAS an issue, because the redneck agent made comments about where he was born and then brought in those lovely government agencies with 3 letter acronyms to question him for 30 hours.

  4. CJ, I am afraid you are right....

Charisma, me too, but with next week being such a short week, plus the fact that the motivation to work next Wednesday will be way low, even by USCIS standards, I just don't know if the improved mojo from this week is going to translate. I'm sort of hoping tomorrow may be a big day. Something tells me that Friday may be our last hope before we drag this full speed (at 2 m.p.h.) into December.

    CJ-G

Meet what was your "touch" history?

Congratulations to the many approved this week. I hope for NEXT WEEK! We are starting to feel VERY worried!!

Wow! finally both of my petitions were approved today also. I could not believe my eyes.

  6. Am I getting paranoid or cases with 5/7 and 5/8 touches seem to get left behind???

also I see an approval rate of 83% on K-3 from March/VSC... WHAT the heck is happening to us 17% ??? Why why why why is it taking them so long? It all seemed great back in August/Sept!

    I just updated the spreadsheet:

    http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p-9...Rqfdg&gid=3

Look at the recent approvals in green compared with the NOA1's. You can see there at 7 months.

    just something interesting.

  7. Fill out your timeline pls.

    Hi list,

It has been 11 months since I received NOA1 but still I didn't received NOA2, I have been checking online everyday my file has not been touched since February 2008.

Is there a way to expedite I-130 application?, what reasons need to be given to expedite I-130. Any documentation will be helpful.

    Please help.

    Thanks in advance

  8. Lucky you, congratulations! Had you got touches around May 7 or May 8 on your I-130? And this week before you got the approval?

Can you see the status approved online?

    Received the email this morning...

"Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On November 18, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. 9. When was that and what port of entry? What passport was he using? Had he visited before? What happened once they denied him, they took him somewhere for questioning? They told him he cannot come any longer? Did he have any documents to prove that he wanted to go back home? I visited 3 times without troubles..

My husband tried coming on his visa waiver and was denied entry. You have to be careful. They may send you right back home.

Can you give us more details about that please?

My husband tried coming on his visa waiver and was denied entry. You have to be careful. They may send you right back home.

When he came they asked him why he's coming. He said "To visit my wife"...that was the end of that!!! LOL

I hear alot of people say "To visit a friend" and they have no problems...

However, once you get assigned an A#, I heard that it will pop up in the computer with customs...don't know if they can see it and then deny you based on that. I really don't know...and immigration is never EVER uniform...they do things differently for everyone!

  10. Keep trying calling until you speak to someone forthcoming with information. Don't get angry, try being nice, maybe you will find someone decent who will give you real info.

A lot of the VJ'er in this discussion talk about being in the "queue", or "in the hands of an adjudicator. Was going through your Congressman the only way to find this information?

Lee L, you have an almost identical timeline to mine. I am wondering whether or not I'm in the "queue" as well.

I called USCIS last Thursday. All they told me is that they're processing I-129F as of March 4, 2008 and I-130 as of February 26, 2008 and nothing else. All my lawyer did is call the USCIS to get the same answer.

What should I do to find out whether I'm in the queue or not? I am open to any ideas

  11. My friend, they are VERY VERY good at lying, so don't take it personally! ;-)

We were told we are assigned to an agent, and that we should get approved in a few days, but do you think I believe that BS?? Hello no, after 9 months of this, you grow a VERY thick skin! Sooner or later it will come, but when we least expect it, so we can as well stop expecting it!

I had the most disappointing call of this entire journey just now...I am so f'ing depressed and pissed at the same time. I called VSC because I can't fathom what's taking them so long adjudicate my applications. The officer who answered told me that they are still processing November 2007 applications and I will just have to wait. I went on to explain that I've already contacted my congressman and he assured me that someone has been looking at my files. She said, "Well, I really can't tell you that, but you can call your congressman again to file an expedite." According to her, NO ONE has looked my files and it is waiting on a shelf to be looked at...this is SOOOO frustrating....don't even know who and what to f'ing believe any more. If I don't hear something soon, I am gonna my congressman's aide a piece of my mind for lying.

Please make me believe that I can be with my wife by Jan....this is getting out of control!

I hear you. People get paid a lot from our taxes lie, people who get paid low also lie. It's just unbelievably frtustrating. Especially when they say one thing and back out the next minute.

Because of their drama, I'm missing my wife and four marriages next month.

    Unbelievable.

Tell you what...I have an e-mail from my congressman's office stating that my applications are being looked at by an officer. If I don't hear something soon, I am sure I'll make them pay. I appreciate their efforts, but lying....I will not tolerate.

  12. CJ, thank you for the note... I just meant that the I-130 and K-3 petitions are dealt with separately and we have no strong evidence that if -for example, you filed the two 3 months apart, your I-130 will not be considered once it comes to the average processing time for it.

If I filed my I-130 on Feb. 01 and my K-3 on July 01, it doesn't mean that the I-130 will remain stuck until they are around approval time for similar K-3 filers... That's what I meant.

We are in a similar situation to yours (filed only 1 week apart or so), we are outside processing times, and will send a request to look into the situation as soon as we can..

  13. I hope we will be there by Xmas 2009!!! At this pace......

WHY ARE THEY SO SLOW ALL OF A SUDDEN? Things looked great in August/Sept!

    Congratulations on the approval!!!!

But it seems like VSC still have a lot of February and early March filers waiting... WHy the heck then they posted that "6 months" thing? I want my approval this week!! Oh man! I'm already convinced I won't be there for Christmas. :crying:
