I don't know anything about whether it makes things go faster if you file all three, but we used recent case history as shown on this and other sites to guide us. We opted to file I-765 and I-485 only and our case was approved in under three months (of course each case is different!). Filed 3/17/25, EAD approved 5/7/25, Green Card approved 6/12/25. (full timeline on my timeline page)
This timeline tracked with what we had been seeing, and a 5-week advance on the AP didn't feel worth $630 to us in our financial and personal situation. Using that money later to upgrade my wife to business class on her next transatlantic trip home seemed like a better option for us.
Of course every situation is different, and things are rapidly changing from day to day in the current political climate. We knew this going into our decision to not file for AP and it felt like a risk worth taking.

Log in on a computer. Scroll down to the I-485 section. You should see tabs for "Case Status", "myProgress", "Case History", and "Documnents". Click on Documents. Look for one titled "Interview Scheduled.pdf" or something similar. It may not be there yet, but this is where it will show up.
Sorry, just catching up. Yes, create your USCIS account @PokuPoku and things will be much clearer than they were with the K-1 stage!

We got the update that says they are ready to schedule her interview, and they will send a notice, but its been 9 days since then and nothing in the mail. How long did you wait or did you get your interview date online? We just made an account on USCIS but it didn't tell us anything more.
Hopefully you have heard something by now. We had a PDF of the letter on the USCIS website in the documents section. The hard copy of the letter arrived in the mail a few days letter.

Right now it's showing 6 months for EAD and 19 months for Green Card, but if I've learned anything from this site, it is that these estimates are always wild.
That was yesterday. Today it's showing 5 months for EAD and 31 months for Green Card

VisaJourney has now updated my timeline estimate to June 6-20; it was April 21 at one point two weeks ago

Can I ask how much for your EAD? Mine also changed drastically after biometrics. I know we rather ignore these numbers but anyway

Great, did your "estimated time" change?
My VisaJourney estimated EAD date changed quite drastically this week. I didn't notice a change on the USCIS estimates, though.

Hope everyone is doing well. Here's a quick update from our end.
My wife had her biometric appointment today. In and out maybe 10 minutes. All she needed was her passport, the appointment letter, and her completed one-page bio sheet (Applicant's Information Sheet) they sent.
As soon as she had finished having her photo taken, I received text messages indicating her cases had been updated with USCIS. About an hour and a half later, I received two more text messages, but I see no change from the first two. It now says:
Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS
As of April 14, 2025, we are actively reviewing your Form I-485, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
The I-765 notice says the exact same thing except with different form and case numbers. Now we just continue waiting.

There's no fee for I-693. You only pay civil surgeon
From the timeline and conversation, what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong:
- They entered the US on July 10, 2024
- They got married July 15, 2024
- They got I-693 completed by civil surgeon in the US
- They filed AOS in August 2024, but sent the wrong fee for I-485 (maybe combined multiple form payments with one check?)
- The petition was rejected and all original documents were returned to petitioner
- They refiled in October 2024 with correct fees
- Had biometric appointment in October 2024
- Recently received an interview appointment notice with standard list of documents to bring
So yeah, just bring everything that was already submitted and anything else on that list that you may have
Good luck!

Great! Our I-485 and I-765 were mailed to Dallas on the 17th and we received text NOA yesterday indicating it was received on March 20th.

You can look at JimmyX’s timeline on his/her profile which tells you.
But if your timeline is accurate then your PD isn’t current yet, so you won’t be in the line for an interview yet.
Yes, my timeline is accurate. I emailed back and forth with the embassy, but it ended up being almost 6 months from the time they received the petition until my fiancée was contacted about scheduling the interview. Things moved pretty quickly from there, though. Good luck!

You can either try to contact the medical facility that performed the exam and see if they will email you a copy of the DS-3025 or you can send the packet without the copy included. There is no requirement that you provide a copy of it with the I-485. It just serves as a reminder to USCIS that you had a medical exam abroad and to look for it in your A-File. They should see by your filing status on the I-485 that you are adjusting as a K Visa holder and know to look for the medical file. You really should try to get a copy of the DS-3025 however for your own records.
Thank you so much!

Heya folks,
My wife's I-94 authorization expires 1/30/25 and I've been franticly trying to track down paperwork. It seems she did not receive a Form DS-3025 at her medical exam. She only received local forms documenting her vaccines and the sealed medical packet that we collected by CBP upon arrival. I have seen other threads about this on here, but I'm not able to find a consensus on which direction to go with it. Any ideas?

I'm not certain as we went through Zambia, but you may get an answer by contacting the embassy directly, especially since it sounds like this is a new system and others may not have experience with it yet. Our embassy was quite responsive, even as we waited more than 4 months before we got an official "case received, come bring documents" email.
Good luck!

This is very basic info about this process that you should already know. I suggest you read the guides thoroughly.
This is correct!
In case OP doesn't know where to find the guides, you can find the K1 visa process by going to the top of this site, clicking on Guides, and selecting US Visas, then clicking on K1 Fiancé Visa.
The page has a lot of information and it can be overwhelming to sort through. Under the heading Self Help Guides, the K1 Visa Flowchart has been very helpful for me as we navigate through this process. Good luck!

No. I prepared a table of contents and cover pages and everything, and my fiancée took everything and they only took the required documents. It helps with organization on the beneficiary's end, but is definitely not necessary!

Hey everyone! How are we doing? My fiancée had her medical exam this week and it looks like we're about 4 weeks away from her interview now. I'm trying to be sure all the documents I sent her have been printed and fill in any gaps that we may have (I brought financial documents when I saw her in March, but that has been a few months now!).
I have seen some of you got approved. Anyone here got married yet? 🙂

Based on many discussions on here, my fiancée submitted her DS-160 3 months after the NOA2 but what turned out to be 2 months before she received her Packet 3. Our interview will be in October, but the DS-160 intended date of arrival shows June. I have searched for days and can't find any discussion about an indicated arrival that falls months before the interview. In your opinion, would it be better to submit a new DS-160 or, as in other cases, address it in the interview if it comes up?

In the DS-160 it does have a spot for the "arrival city" though.
The form I completed in April did not. It had blanks for the intended date of arrival (which obviously can change based on when the visa is issued) and the address the beneficiary will be staying in the U.S. (which will be a residential address, presumably the petitioner's home address, rather than an arrival airport). So we can help better, do you mind pointing us to the spot in question?

I don't think my fiancee received anything from the embassy. The embassy instead emailed me what they wanted. We then submitted the ds-160 after I received the email. Now we're just waiting for the medical stuff to process since we can't schedule the interview until we get the medical stuff done first.
I thought that might be the case and obviously I continue checking my email all the time. They have told me they will email her, so I have no reason to doubt that, but I do continue checking in periodically to see if maybe we've missed something.

SSN, EAD, AOS etc ?'s
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

This sounds right. My wife just has a folder with everything in it that she might need.
Some thoughts on what I've read so far:
+ The sealed packet will remain with USCIS and includes some of the required paperwork for his green card application later; you may feel like you're going crazy, but just trust they already have it
+ We went to get her SSN about two weeks after her arrival
+ BE SURE YOU PRINT THE I-94 PAGE! We had to schedule another appointment because I only had it on my phone and they wouldn't print it at the SSA office
+ We only needed one SSN for marriage license in Texas
+ If you don't get the SSN yet, it is an option on the I-485 green card application later, though obviously not ideal
+ A passport (domestic or foreign) is Real ID compliant for travel https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification
Good luck with everything! There are so many logistical things to sort through and it can be hard to keep up. Just take one step at a time and everything will work out.
