  1. Thank you @appleblossom! yes the processing time is not too bad at the moment - it’s unfortunate we are getting close to the holidays now. Out attorney is in the US so I figure it’s quicker if he mails the missing document to NVC… in any case, I hope this one last piece of document is the last thing we have to send them! Gathering of civil documents has been a real nightmare for us
  2. Hi all, I’ve been waiting patiently for my DQ but unfortunately this morning we got an email from NVC asking for a missing document. Fortunately I can get this document ready very quickly and hand it to my attorney in a matter of a couple of days but I am wondering how long it will now take until I get DQ… am I back to the end of the queue? Or will they resume processing our case soon-ish?
  3. I received an email with a payment link 1 day after submitting my application. Have you already applied?
  4. Hi @DrOV We are also in the middle of completing the form bur strangely the situation is other way around for us in that my husband (the main applicant) is asked to provide info on his education and 10 years of work history whereas I (the spouse) am only asked about my current employment. I am a bit worried that I somehow answered incorrectly to one of the previous questions…?
  5. In case this helps anyone at the start of the waiting game after USCIS approval… we have just received the welcome letter from NVC 6 days after the I-140 approval!! the case creation timeframe on their website still says they’re working on cases sent to them around July 19 so I definitely wasn’t expecting the WL so soon!
  6. @appleblossom Yes, EB1s seem to be quite rare - hopefully my journey will be as smooth as yours 🙂 Did your children have to have any additional vaccinations bwdoew the medical? According to the chart you kindly shared, it looks like my kids (born and raised here in the UK) need to have Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and MenACWY?
  7. @appleblossom I cannot thank you enough for your help answering ALL of my questions 😀 I have also checked your timeline in the other thread and it has helped me so much! I hope you are your family are happy and enjoying your life in the US.
  8. Ha, I think I found the exact info I needed... https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/submitting-documents-to-the-nvc.html So, photocopied civil documents for mailing to NPC and originals to bring along to the interview - correct? And I am guessing you can just show the police report at your medical appointment and they won't keep hold of it?
  9. Hi all, I am full of questions as we embark on this (rather daunting) journey! I have noticed that you are required to submit police reports three times - when sending docs to NVC, at medical appointment, and at the embassy. Does this mean you need to have 3 copies of police reports? Or can you use copies for some of these cases? Many thanks for your help in advance 😀
  10. Hi, I have a question regarding vaccination requirements for children. Do they need to have had Covid vaccines and if so how many doses? My 13-year old has had two doses but my 9-year old hasn’t had any. Thank you in advance!
  11. Thanks so much @appleblossom! I guess it's only the beginning of many months of (anxious) wait...Still it's good to know 10 weeks isn't too bad compared to before!
  12. Hi all, I am so happy I've come across this super helpful forum! My husband has just got news that his I-140 has been approved (the visa category: EB1), and I am curious about everyone's experience with regards to how long it took for the welcome letter to arrive. When I checked the NVC timeframes page last week, they were working on creating cases referred to them 4 weeks ago, but as of this week, this has increased to nearly 10 weeks! This actually doesn't make sense... last week, as of 21st Sep, they were working on cases received on 22nd August, this week as of 25th Sep, they are working on cases received on 19th July! How can they be working on older cases than last week?? Maybe it's some kind of mistake?
