  1. I guess people are tired of replying to the same questions over and over! read the forumsabout ki k3 visas.

You do need a medical exam not a full one but u need to have a civil surgeon transfer what u had done to the form I 693 and u need to read the new vaccination requirements and also the tb skin test ....

if u see my page there are some posts in there that cld help u

    good luck

yeah need lots of goodlucks..but was asking about the medical thing...... :o
  2. There is a new requeirement now tb skin test, to avoid rfe go to the civil srgeon and get it done

I agree with fwaguy. What I posted above is from the I-693 instructions, that's what CIS says we are "required" to do, but they don't always enforce the rules equally to everybody. And people have just sent in a copy of the DS-3025 and have been approved, while others who did the same thing received an RFE. Your choice.

Here's what I said on another thread:

Just send in a copy of the DS-3025. A lot of people have done that with no problems. Chances are it will be accepted. If they send you an RFE, only then should you go shell out $300 for a medical if you can find an honest CS who will just do what you need. The delay from an RFE is only a couple of weeks if you answer it promptly, but if they accept the 3025, you save yourself the money. Why spend money unless you have to. That's what we did, I sent my wife's forms July 23rd. I'm not saying we're good, but no RFE yet.

  3. yeah i hear ya, however it wont take forever, the Reniec nowadays its a lil faster, if he goes and calls constantly and pushes for it he will get his BC.

She is panicking a little bit for the interview but im sure by the time he gets here and they need all of that it ll be in his hands,

from my lips to gods ears,

Hang in there suzy dont panic yet ;)

  4. KATIUSKA!!!

WHY WOULD HE SEND EMAIL TO RADIOSTATIONS!"? IT WONT EXPEDITE ANYTHING!

if anything this is not major like i said worse comes to worse they will give him a yelllow slip... dont worry Suzy hang in there ;)

    Hola Suzy

The only thing i can say tell you is that the best is to fix his birth of certificate. After he gets here it will get even more critical. you need it at least for the SSN and AOS....

i hope this does not complicate the process... and yes... i know how slow are things in Peru when it is related to paperwork...... maybe if he sends mails to the news papers or call radioprogramas.... i am pretty sure it will expedite things A LOT!!!!!!

    good luck!

    Katia

  5. Do not worry at all he can show that is in the process and show his baptism certificate and also get an affidavit of 2 people that were present on his birth, it says it in the instructions on what to do when u dont have certain documents with u, read it for the I 129 F..

Or Worst comes to worst u ll get a yellow slip that the approval will be on hold until u get the rest of the papers u need!

thats what happened to me, Santiago was missing a certificado de antecedentes policiales from mexico and they gave us that yellow slip and had to go back with the document and next day approved...

their major issue is that he doesnt have any antecedentes penales, that u guys have enough proof of ur ongoing relationship and that he doesnt have AIDS lol

    so dont worry much!

has he gotten his stuff for when he is interviewed?

Antecedentes penales policiales y judiciales yet?

he needs to start with that so u guys are not doing it LAST minute ;)

Hello everyone, I'm hoping somebody can help me with this

My fiancee is from Peru, we are about to receive our NOA2 very soon - I just responded to an RFE which was simple and am expecting the NOA2 any day now.

Here's my problem: His second last name on his birth certificate is spelled wrong. In April, when we filed for the Visa, he also went to the "city hall" / municipalidad, and asked for a copy of his birth certificate. There he realized the problem. He filled out some forms to have it corrected. It's been almost 5 months and they keep telling him to call and come back in 2 weeks, 1 week, bla bla bla. The situation is that things like this move VERY SLOWLY in Peru. I'm scared we wont have it for the interview.

Can he show them that he's correcting his birth certificate? Give them his baptism certificate and his ID card from Peru? He has the incorrect copy of the birth certificate to show them as well.

I am super nervous. I don't want this to hold up the visa or get it denied? Anyone have the same / similar problem or not have a birth certificate at all????

    :help:

  6. If u havent notice this girl hasnt post anythign anymore, so i guess she will do what she thinks its best for her.. Maintain QUIET! :bonk:

Gosh.. If you allow this PIG to go silent.. He will do it again.. I agree with Mike and everything he says...... You must file a report and inform you fiance. He will do this over and over until you speak out.

I am generally a nice man.. and I believe in our justice system when it comes to punishing a person like this. But if this ever happens to Zandy.. The police might be to late to take care of it. Excuse me.. just angry this person hasn't been reported.

  7. yeah thanks im almost done yay!

i coudlnt find a cheap dr for the medical! =( we paid 150 however the boodowrk and vaccines will be covered by my hubbys insurance .. and thats thanks to me!! ;)

    Hi AOS Fillers!

Im almost ready to send the AOS packet... wasnt tooo bad!

just waiting for 2007 transcripts and for the civil surgeon to give us the 1 693.

I was wondering where do i get a certifed copy of the marriage certificate?

can i make a copy and notarize it?!

also for the affidavit of support im sending my last 3 paystubs is that Ok? and will it b enough to just send the transcripts of my taxes or do i also have to send w2 copies and etceteras?!

    Im excitied

    Thanks all for ur help

Hi Farrah! Congrats on being almost done! :)

Just make a copy of the marriage certificate that you get mailed to you after you get married (did you get this yet??). You do not need to have it notarized. (It's certified because they put a little stamp or something on it, don't send the original; you won't get it back.)

And yep, the above poster is correct. You do not need to send W2s, etc. with the transcripts. It's all in the directions.

    Good luck! :)

  8. If he raped u 3 days ago and u didnt go to the police then theres no proove for it ! u cld be questioned now as if it is true!

TELL UR FIANCEE NOW! tell him u were in shock and that now u have come to reality of what happened and thats why u didnt tell him...

Be strong nothing bad is going to happen to u !

    What state are u in!?

how does it happen, u let him get in at your house while you're alone?that's hard situation but i guess you should tell ur fiance what happened. What if that guy do it again to you or tell ur fiance about that and make his own version. You should get a police report too

yes thats another important thing to think about...the more you let time go by... the harder it may be for your fiance to accept... its better to tell him tonight bcz when he does find out ... his mind will want to know what took you so long to tell him!

  10. I GUESS NOONE PONITED THIS OUT TO U ! BUT U DONT HAVE TO PAY 830 PLUS 355 IF U ARE SENDING EVERYTHING TOGETHER AOS PACKET 131 AND EAD APPLICATION U ONLY HAVE TO PAY 1010 DOLLARS !

    SEE: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-864.pdf

I cannot see why Part #5 confuses people.

I-864 is filled out by the SPONSOR, NOT prospective immigrant. DO NOT COUNT THE PROSPECTIVE IMMIGRANT TWICE, they are counted as IMMIGRANT NOT SPOUSE.

21a is ONE, 21c IS ZERO because they are being SPONSORED.

it is being filled out by the Sponsor ( ie my wife) i the prospective immigrant am just posing the question as we are both unsure on the answer.

OK that makes it clearer, thank you for your help

  11. FYI CHECK OUT NEW REGULATIONS !!!!

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2112092

i just want to make things clear for me and my fiance with regards to the medical exam requirement upon filing the AOS. i already read the new TB guidleines by CDC as well..

i have no idea on this yet, i hope you can help us with some of our concerns...here i listed them..

    ABOUT THE VACCINATION:

what will happen to the medical exam that we had at SLEC? will it be continued by a so called "civil surgeon" assigned by the USCIS once the beneficiary arrives in the u.s.? does that mean that our follow up vaccinations (the one started by SLEC) will have to be done in the u.s.? ( can i have a shot from some clinic here in the PI or i should continue it in the u.s.)

ABOUT THE NEW TB TEST REQUIREMENT:

with all these... how will i know the flow of the processing? WILL THE USCIS SEND ME A LETTER OF INSTRUCTION THAT I HAVE TO UNDERGO SUCH DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES? OR WILL I GET A NOTIFICATION AS SOON AS I ARRIVE AT THE POE?

I do not think USCIS will send you a notice about it. But here is what I did and did not do. I had my additional shots here in the US at a health center and it did not cost me anything. I did not submit I-693. I could not find any CS in our area that charges $50 or lower. They want to always do a full medical on me before they fill up the I-693. I just photocopied my DS-3025 from SLEC and the vaccination paper that I got from the health center and mailed that together with the other paperworks last June 19, 2008. I had my biometrics done last July 26, 2008. So far I have not received any RFE regarding my medical.

  12. noo her parents cant sponsor you!!!

it has to be someone that lives here!!!

whre are u going to bring her here when she comes! ur parents have to know!!!

and if u are going to college how are u going to support her!!???

if u are underage u cant get married here nor in peru unless ur parents consent it !!

    Have u met in Person?!?!?!

You only have a short amount of time to edit your posts.

Here is the flowchart so you can see how it works. Your best bet is to go over the K1 Guide step by step and just be sure you have everything included.

We would probably be getting married in her country but I didn't really want my parents to know about this since I'm young they probably wouldn't be too happy. But would her parents be able to sponser us or would it have to be someone I get? I will be meeting her soon and I will keep the passport stamps and I will take pictures.

  14. SOO BOTTOM LINE I should apply for a new EAD regardless of the fact that he got an ead that expired on JUly 28th?

    Thanks

But she's referring to the actual EAD card. They've never applied for one, so there is nothing to renew.

EAD stands for Employment Authorization Document, a stamp is not a document.

    Diana

Renewal is only used when you are applying for another EAD in the same category as the one you currently hold. If your situation changes, and you become covered by another category of Title 8 CFR §274a.(12) then you are applying for a new EAD in that category (as is the case with a K1 holder going to an AoS. Any previous EAD they had as a K1 holder was under category (a)(6) and now as an AoS applicant it's under [c][9], so it's a new application. You're not renewing your (a)(6) EAD).

And in terms of a stamp, the stamp is placed on the I-94. That makes the I-94 a document proving employment authorization, or an EAD, as well as serving as the arrival and departure record. Not all EADs are cards.

  15. YES ITS A NEW REQUIRMENT =( WE NEED TO GET IT DONE!!

IM GOING TO THE CIVIL SURGEON TOMORROW! =)

GOOD LUCK LET ME KNOW HOW IT WENT!

    =)

Hi, i am going tomorrow to see a doctor from austin and i am taking my vaccination paper from lima, the I-693 form and the instructions of I-693.

by phone they say it is 35 dollars that i consider reasonable.

what is all this stuff about TBC skin test, how much it costs and how long it takes? is it mandatory??????

    thanks, and byeeee!!!!

    Hi all:

If someone could explain what do i have to tell the civil surgeon when making an appt for the medical examination?

My husband who came here with the Fiance visa, had the medical exam in peru already, what do i do in that case? i know he doesnt have to have the full exam and the civil surgeon needs to fill out the form with the vaccinations form given in Peru, We dont have to pay the full 150 dollars that they want to charge or yes!?

Help in tellin me your experiences on AOS medical

    Thanks

  16. Yu and Dan

Now that i ve made an appt to see the Civil Surgeon, do i need to tell him to also fill out part 2 of part 2 since the new TB requirements came into place?

my understanding is that not only the transfer of vaccinations needs to be done but also skin tb test...and for that matter the CS needs to fill out part to of part 2 ?

    Thanks

I took vaccination record to a C.S. along with I-485 directions, the doctor did the vaccination record transfer to I-693 for $35.

May be more now with the new requirement of TB skin test.

A full medical is NOT a requirement for AOS from a K-Visa only the vaccination part of I-693 is.

Recently USCIS has updated form I-693 with updated directions for Civil Surgeons explicitly explaining that ALL K-Visas do not need a full physical.

    I-693:

    2. What if I am a K nonimmigrant visa holder and already had a medical exam overseas?

If you were admitted as a:

    A. K-1 fiancé(e) or a K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e), or as a

    B. K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen or a K-4 child of a K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen, and

    C. You received a medical examination prior to admission, then-

    a. You are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination.

    b. You will, however, be required to complete Part 1, Information about you, and submit the vaccination section of Part 2 with your adjustment of status application. A designated civil surgeon must complete the vaccination section and Part 5, the Civil Surgeon's Certification.

    http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-693instr.pdf

And form I-485 directions have this:

    8. Fiancé(e)s.

If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment-of-status application.

    http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf

Bring vaccination record, or get immigrations related vaccinations and get the record transfered to the I-693 by a US civil surgeon.

  17. Sorry to bother all of you but i know you guys are of great help, in the affidavit of support for for the AOS form I864

on question 21 it says to put the number of persons u are sponsoring and then asks to add 1 if u are married. so that will add 3 but i dont have 3 persons in my household counting me, the person im sponsoring which is my new husband and myself only adds 2...what do i do?? what did u write?

    thanks

  18. Yes he passsed the written test, he needs to take the road test but the learners permit has a regular expiration date for 2013, but in red on top of his name its says exp 7/28/08 i think meaning the visa?

i wonder now if with that he can go take his 5 hr class and then take the test!!!

    Yes C9 IT IS!

IM starting to play aroudn with the forms before i actually even start anythign .. i had the same qustions that u had sammy lol

i had santiago file for a learners permit lol... it expired july 28th now i wondeer what shld i do to take the road test.. but actaully the real expiration date on the id says 2013 ...

its not a biggie but was just curious what to do when he takes the road test !

    Hey Farrah!

Has he already passed the book test? I don't know in regards to taking the road test... have you checked online with your local DMV/MVA?

  19. Yes C9 IT IS!

IM starting to play aroudn with the forms before i actually even start anythign .. i had the same qustions that u had sammy lol

I just saw in your timeline that your husband applied for a State ID and received it....I never thought of that possibility!

I thought that only US citizens can get one?!

What's the deal with the State ID? Anybody?????

Hi! I checked out our Motor Vehicle Administration website and knew that people could get an ID card that wouldn't be a driver's license. I just followed the rules and after he got his SSN, we went down with all the required documents and got him one. Mind you, this was before his I-94 expired. He wouldn't be able to get one now because it is expired...

I would check out your local MVA type place online and see what the requirements are. If you're already into the AOS process, you might have to wait until he has the papers.

I was super paranoid that he might lose his passport/visa as he was carrying it around for ID. I knew it would be safer for him to just have the State ID for every day use!

I did also the same, with DMV, they have some requirements, if you respect them, you can have a ID card, but it was before the expiration of my I-94 (this white paper has a huge importance).

Check the DMV web-site of your state.

    Good luck

  20. He already had the tb done in Peru, where does it said he needs to get it also here?!
