    I'm going back to the Philippines in August.  I hope to find an attorney on the trip.  I am just very uncomfortable hiring an attorney on-line. Too many scammers. I was hoping someone could make a recommendation for a reliable attorney.  Good luck in your search.
     
    In the past few weeks I have made my mind up to move to the Philippines what with how America is falling apart.

    Yeah its about 52+ days on average right now. Crazy, we've waiting 15 months for NOA2 approval and now they sprinkle extra delays to get to NVC. It'll be worth the wait

    In your case i would definitely marry and go the spouse visa 
    u have help in Philippines for your illness but on a K1 you would need health care insurance in US
    it is expensive to buy on K1 but if married ,,  he could add u to his coverage immediately upon US arrival

    6 to 8 months were pre covid numbers, the current estimates are more than double that. We waited 458 days.

    You can try ordering a copy from PSA online at https://www.psaserbilis.com.ph/ .  It may or may not be identical to what you get from the local PSA office but it eliminates the local office middle man and it's only $6 to find out.  The Embassy will require the PSA Birth Certificate.  They may look at the LCRO copy for reference if it helps clarify the PSA copy but a PSA Birth Certificate is the requirement.
     
    How bad is it?  Is it difficult to read but you can make it out with some effort?  Or is it absolutely illegible?  If it's really that bad of a copy, I think you have to get the local civil registry office to send a new copy to PSA.  I 'think' it would need to be initiated by the LCRO not initiated by PSA (???)  There would be an endorsement fee and she might be able to get expedited processing for a fee.
