  1. its really bothering me a lot right now as i was reading the threads from the interviewees this month..its like 90% of them have probs and only 5% have positive result...we cant decide my interview date right now...i wna be optimistic cuz we'r confident that our relationship is genuine for 5 years..and most of all my faith is strong....i juz dunno whats the mood of the CO...whewwww.......i hope we'll all be blessed.....and so with the COs...

    Hi Trin,

Wala naman kaduda-duda sa relasyon nyo eh. Good luck and you can make it. :)

  2. For me is the "thousands of miles distance" of Philippines and U.S. So sad.

What is the FIRST THING that comes in your mind when you came in the US ?

And what is the THINGS in your mind before coming in the US?

  3. Thank God I passed my medical last August 14-15 , 2008 at SLEC..Things went smoothly during my medical and all the staff at SLEC were very accommodating.. Thank God everything went well..I am able to meet some vj family too like Abspears and Filiricans.. I'm so glad to meet you guys..Me and Christopherandevan (geline) were together during medical exam and she passed also..Almost half of our journey is now over and now we are just waiting for our interview..

Am happy for you. Congratulations. :)

  4. Good luck for the second interview. May God be with you and Sitkan. :star:

Finally I'm posting my interview experience from yesterday but sad to say things didnt happen as i expected.

We've waited 8 months for our approval and then again now another trial came.

Unfortunately they asked me to go back for another day for my second interview.

I feel devastated can't help not to cry.All i can do now is to lift up everything to GOD, He is in control with my life,

I can still see the blessing behind this trial i was so touched with my fiancee for his love and support, this situation makes our relationship stronger, and I'm really overwhelmed with prayers of my friends and with the people in VJ,

Dian,Nanz, ate Ann,Ivory..YOu guys are so amazing!

I claiming GOd's promise on Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

    * me and carmi(SITKAN) we have the same situation now and was interviewed with the same consul.

FOr the consul who interviewed us...GOD BLESS YOUR HEART.

    Thank you everyone!!

  5. Other questions to ponder.

Did you get assistance from a outside source to resolve you issue?

Lawyer, Congressman, Senator, other person of influence.

Do you think it would have been resolved any faster or in a more sure manner with assistance?

What are the factors that YOU Believe triggered the Administrative Review?

Seems like a lot of people are running in to this lately. Lets give our input to help them avoid the issues that we have had.

    Thanks

We asked from Senator's office in Kansas and i think it helped our case to be approved after four days since we communicated with them. This is during the NOA2 status.

About the issuance of visa after interview i don't think there is anyone who could help to make it quick. It depends on how competent the people at NSO or people at Delbros, or Embassy, whichever office is the responsible for making the whole document verification process quick.

  6. hi..its nice to be here..

i hope i can learn something from you since we are also going through the whole visa process :)

Welcome to this community. To learn is to read more and search more. :star:

  7. hello paano ba yan pag may period ka ok lang sa medical....?kasi dinatnan ako kaso ang period ko will last like 1week at super heavy pa...pwede ba yan???? anyone went to thier medical with their period??? please reply naman mga sis

It's advisable to go on at medical exam with no menstrual period but during my medical there was few there who went with their menstrual period, they had the chest x-ray and blood test, they were only told to go back for the urine test and physical exam when their period finished.

It's best to wait for your period to finish before going for your medical so you won't go there for more than two days.

    Good luck.

  8. Hello there,

I flew via NWA, and had a travel agency, Ninfa is my travel agent. :star: They have a good fair ticket price, just book ahead of time and confirm it if you have the visa already or if you are so sure of the date you plan to fly.

    Shape

Did anyone here booked for flight using NorthWest Airline? Do I really need to book from the NWA-Philippines or it's ok to book from NWA-United States since my fiance is the one booking for the flight using his credit card?

Cos i just noticed there's a question there, RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES? YES OR NO

When I picked no and forwards to NWA-Philippines the air fare there is really spendy but on the default maybe NWA-United States is just half. Just wondering

    Hi Richel!!!

I suggest you do not book directly to NW...they have very high fare...Book on some travel website like the expedia.com...Like us we are using www.vayama.com

    Hope this will helped you...

    Good luck!!!!!!!

will the uscis send the papers back whatsyour opinion ?

I believe they won't return it you just because you put none.

  14. Which do you prefer? to work or not to work?

    I prefer to work.

If you're going to work does it mean that you're just using the other person?

What a question is that? LOL! If i work that means im helping my husband to earn a living for us and for our family and have a better life.

If you're working does it mean that you will have no time for your partner?

It doesn't mean no time. It's just a matter of time management.

  15. Am so happy for you Ria, finally it's almost over for the visa process. :star:

So my son and I are done with our medical. I will not go to details as it is the same with other members who posted their experiences other than a few problems. We went in August 5. My result will be out the next day but since my son's tuberculin skin test result will be after 48 hours, I decided to get the result on the day of my son's result. When we went to SLEC yesterday 11am, I was told that I need to do another Xray as there was a suspected density in my right lung so they need additional view. My son's skin test came out positive so he needs Xray too. I got scared because I was thinking already of sputum test. I dont mind the delay of another two months for the test. Its the hardship and trauma my son has to go through with this test that Im so worried about. I prayed hard and after waiting for it seems like eternity, our names were called to the 2nd floor...immunization room. It means....our Xrays were normal!!! Our results were released at 6:30pm.

Anyway, I got 2 vaccines and my son got 6!!! So painful for me to see him endure the pain of 6 shots- one in his right arm, two in his left arm, one in his left left leg and two in his right leg. And his needles were big!!! He was screaming and crying. I now wonder whether it was right that I agreed for that shots all at the same time! Im home in bed cuz my arm hurts! My son didnt go to school today...he is playing with his Thomas the Train while limping around. Thank God this stage is over. And my fiancee Stephen said he will make up for everything. HAHAHA!!!

  16. Congrats. :star:

    Nahum 1:7

The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.

Being away from my wife made me feel incomplete. For who God has joined together, let no man separate them, for they have become one. But these past few weeks tested my patience and forgot what God has promised to those who beleive in Him. I felt lost and ready to give up. But the Lord never left my side. Even when my ears cannot hear him, He stayed with me. Until I found Him again, patiently waiting for me to listen to Him. I found the verse above while reading the bible. I felt so ashamed and asked God for forgiveness. Till then I placed all my trust and Him and started waiting for my Visa patiently. That was a week ago.

Last night I received a text from Delbros that my Visa will be delivered. Truly the Lord cares for those who trust in Him

  17. Congrats.

    Hi guys,

I decided to post here because I believe I owe a lot of things to this website. I've been reading your posts here and your insights really helped a lot.

My fiance' who is a Filipino turned US citizen filed a I-129F petition last january 28, 2008 and it got approved last May 28, 2008, exactly 4 months after filing. It took me a while to set an appointment with the US embassy in manila due to the loss of my passport. The irritating part of it is that it was the travel agent who lost it.

When I finally got a new passport, my fiance' called the Call center for an appointment. It was then when he learned that an applicant does not need a passport when setting an appointment, contrary to what was told to us by a certain person in the US Embassy. Indeed. there was no corrdination between the Call Center and the USE.Another thing is, the first time he called the Call Center he was told that they are upgrading their system and that the agent won't be able to entertain his request. He instead adviced my fiancee to call the next day and try. He was really pissed off, because he paid for the PIN and then he was only told to try again.

Upon realizing that he's got 2 chances left, he called the USE first to know if they are now open for appointment setting. But the person on the other line said, "I am not sure, but you can try". He was really disappointed by the way things are in the USE. Nevertheless, he gave it a second try. And thank God, he was able to set an interview schedule for me.

I was set to go to the USE at 7am on August 4, 2008. So I went to Manila on july 27, 2008 and had my physical exams at St. Luke's on the 28th. I went there as early as 6 am. I could have finished everything in a day but the Doctor did not honor my Immunization certificate given to me by the Rural Health Officer for the reason that the dates were not specified in the certificate.

So the next day, I went back to St. Luke's around 9 am. I went directly to the Immunization room to receive 2 shots of vaccine. And after that , I waited for my name to be called for the release of the result. They just gave me the X-ray result and said, they will forward the rest to the US Embassy.

Then the final day came. Although, I was scheduled to appear on 7am, I was already at the USE at 5am. But we were adviced to get inside around 7:30 am.

I would advice that you need to review the forms and be sure to fill them out completely before going the the Embassy to avoid delays.

I was pre-screened by a friendly pinay who I believe was new there. sHe was very slow in asking questions and kept on asking her co-employee about certain things. She also called my attention 3 times to get documents from me when she could have asked all of them at once. Imagine, I was already at the finger scanning section when she followed me there to ask for the ITR of my fiance'. What I really did not like was when the American lady who's in charged of the finger scanning commented, "so, this is the girl?" I really don't know what she meant by that, but i deiced to ignore her.

By the way the pre-screener asked me the following.

    1. age, birthday, profession, middle name

2.) if i have been out of the country

3.) how i met my fiance'

4.) name of his kids ( i also told her that I met them already.)

    5.) his job

6.) how was he able to migrate to the US. ( Ans. His mom petitioned him when he was still single.)

7.) when was the last time I talked to him.

8.) How often do we chat. ( I said almost 8 hours a day using Skype and Vonage. And she said, Oh we also have Vonage here, cause it's cheaper.)

9.) Do I know when was his divorce finalized.( i gave her the exact date )

10.) complete address of my fiance'

11.) How many times have we met in person ( I told her 3 times and that he comes here every 6 months. She asked why that often? Does he have a job to attend to here in the phili? I said, we want to spend more time together and he doesnt care going broke just to see me. Lol.

And when it was my turn to be interviewed by the Consular Officer, I went directly to her room and said "hi" She asked me a couple of things. First, the name of the website where we first met. I told her that we initially met at "MIRC" and then she asked me what it means. Good thing I know what MIRC stands for. Her follow-up question was "what's my purpose to chatting at MIRC" and then I said " I normally chat with my local friends there. And then the 1 million dollar question that she asked was " Were you aware that your fiance' was married when you decided to have a relationship with him?" At first I got nervous, but then I managed to answer. I told her "He has been honest with me since day 1 and I am aware that he's been separated with his wife when I knew him." Although, I wanted to elaborate more on the issue , but i realized it would be better to be more direct with my answer. She did not ask more after that.

Btw, my fiance's divorce got finalized on january 25 and filed the petition on january 28.That's probably the reason why I was grilled.

Then finally, the guy on braces told me to proceed to Delbros for the Delivery of my visa. I asked him how long should I wait for it , he said, 2-3 weeks. But I got it 5 days after the interview.I believe mine did not take that long because i paid for the Document verification 6 weeks before my interview. Now, I am all set to Fly on August 14. My port of entry will be in hawaii and then i will have a connecting flight to san jose california .

    Good luck guys!!!!
