Good deal. How many years of experience did this lawyer have?

How much for your Green Card process?

If the lawyer is fairly new that’s a good rate for a simple case.

He is not new, had more than 20 years experience.

Hired him for removal procedure & 485 for $3000

    For 751 $1500

    N-400 $1000

My case was a bit complicate with removal procedure and DUI

That's interesting that the SSA were there to update everyone in the system. At my ceremony, they were not there and we were advised by USCIS to wait ten days from the ceremony to go to the SSA to update our record. I thought it had something to do with SAVE. No passport people at our ceremony either, but at least there was a voting registration booth.

Im not sure if they gonna be there, from what I was reading an agents from SSA usually attend ceremonies at court.

    Greetings!

Back in the days, I planned everything, that as soon as the ceremony is done, I will simply apply a US passport and upgrade SSA status, but there were so many applicants and the queue were lengthy, so we decided to just go to the SSA office to upgrade my status and it only took less than 10 minutes, then we headed to apply at the  post office for my passport. I already prepared and filled the form, photos and fees prior to the ceremony. It went smoothly. NG

Yes, saw few posts are saying the line was very long. The good thing is that I got everything ready and printed, hope this will make a lot faster.

    Thank you!!

I don't quite "rely" the given informations of the IO from the Live Chat. I believe they are Tier 1 officer's.

Tier 2 Officer's are the ones who can actually "open" your file and give you detailed information.

For instance: one day I was told by the live chat that my I-751 file is at my local field office; the next day I was told by the live chat my I-751 is still at NBC. :D So, at this point I'm just like "whatever".

I was told by Emma agent last week that my case was placed in line for an interview to be scheduled as of 7/20. I just received an online update that my interview is scheduled for 9/1. Nervous and excited!

I chatted with Emma the day before my interview was scheduled and asked for live chat. I was told my case was just being reviewed thats it, the day after I got the notification for the interview.

122 days (4 months) since bio appointment, still no interview notice :( Washington DC (Fairfax, VA) field office. Planning on giving them a call next week if I don't get any updates this week.  Meanwhile, looking at some other DC filer's timelines, people are usually scheduled within 4 months so getting pretty anxious here.

Each case is different, my filed office is pretty fast and people who applied 2 months after I did got their interviews and Im still waiting. You're not alone lol, eventually we will get our interviews.

My partner had his interview today in Phoenix.   He applied under the 5 year rule and the application was received on Feb. 18th.  The appointment was scheduled for 8:40AM and we arrived very early because we were worried about traffic.  At about 8:15 we decided to go in but I was told I couldn't enter the building.   I was expecting a long wait but was surprised when he walked out the door after about 30 minutes.

He said they took fingerprints again as well as had his picture taken.  Next we was given his writing and reading exam.  He was told to read what was on the tablet.  "Where is the White House?"

Next he was told to write: Flag Day is in June."

Before he was put under oath he mentioned that he had two corrections on his N- 400 form.  One regarding dates of international travel and the other regarding receiving a traffic ticket.  She asked to see the paperwork regarding the ticket which he had with him.

She then reviewed a few of the questions on the N-400 form.

After that she did the Civics exam and he answered the first 6 questions correctly.

She had a few more questions regarding his job, length of time at the address he is presently in and a few questions about his spouse.

The final question was "Why do you want to become an American?"

And that was that.  He told he passed the interview.

The oath ceremony was the scheduled for next week on Friday.

So, it went much faster than we had planned.

Good luck to all of you.

    Congrats!!!

Glad to see someone from PHX is done with their process.
