  1. @meladee thanks for the the actual field manual !! I was able to find a friend to provide an offer letter for a job in US... hope asset + an offer letter can bring us through 🙏
  2. i-864 for spouse would be 3x 125% instead of 5x. That's where I'm condused too, how come I-134 become tougher then I-864 when one suppose to sponsor someone for lifetime and the other should just sponsor for the 90 days visit? If it's just math... that would be way easier lol we can make it 120k, theres some left in the Chinese Bank. I'm more afraid in that "If you do not have a job or a steady income from other sources (such as retirement income), you will likely have to get a co-sponsor for your spouse, even if your assets are adequate." part. Well but I do have a job.. it's just aint domestic. I was searching on I-864 last night and found many in my situation and passed with asset only. It's just hard at the moment for me to find a joint sponsor😟 but if Igo back to find a job, we'll have to seperate for about 5 months😟 😟 😟
  3. Thanks a lot for the informations!! What a relief. I was so confused with I-134 cuz my savings are enough for I-864 but somehow it feels that we wont be qualified for I-134 (sigh). Thinking of the result may much dependent on who my fiance meet in th consulate makes me really anxious😟 Thanks for replying, that gives another direction.
  4. Hi Sir,

I saw your anwer on a few topics about liquid asset and find them very valuable for me. My situation is very similar but slightly different.

I'd worked and lived in China with my bf/fiance for 6 yrs. We are currently on k1 process. Since my AGI in 0 (foreign income), can I 100% depend on bank savings (savings in US, above 5x federal poverty guideline) to sponsor my fiance?

your reply would be much appreciated🙏

  5. The good news is I've been sending cash back for many years.... My savings are in US😀 But yeah... guess if we didnt pass then i'll probably need either co-sponsor or a job in US😟
  6. Im not in the US at the moment😭 if national payslip ismandatory... i'll have to go back before k1 interview n get a job i think...
  7. Aug 5, 2022 filer is seeking for i134 advises😭 I’d worked in China for 6 years. I make above 125% of the US poverty line and have done tax return for the past view years however my income is China-based. Meaning my AGI is 0 on 1040. I have around 10k cash in the bank, would that be enough to support i134? or should I find a co-sponsor 😭 Any advice is greatly appreciated🙏
  8. Hi, Did you figure this out? We are in a similar situation lately... Did you guys find co-sponsor?
