Right there with ya. It’s been silent and we even uploaded “corrections” due to realizing we answered a question wrong.
Our I-130 has been showing as “taking longer than usual” since December. Reached out to USCIS and they said “everything looks good, it’s just in the hands of the case worker.”
Lately it’s been 4 weeks then 4 months on the I-485 just alternating back and forth.
on the bright side, the I-94 travel history has gone *poof*! Supposedly that’s a good sign.
It's frustrating and eating me alive!! I thought waiting for the I-129F to get approved was stressful... this is just as stressful! I keep checking the USCIS site every day for updates and nothing ever updates on there. It bounces around from 4 months... to 2 weeks... to 2 months... to 3 weeks... to 4 months again. It's extremely frustrating!
You said you reached out to USCIS, did you contact them via phone, email, in person at an office? -
Hi all, here is my timeline:
- 9/12/2023 mailed I-485 packet (packet received 9/14)
- 9/27/2023 Case number assigned (IOE09224...)
- 10/10/2023 Letter recvd regarding biometrics. Biometrics scheduled for 10/20.
- 10/20/2021, completed biometrics
- 10/21/2023. case shows as "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS"
and crickets since then. I check the status almost everyday and it never changes anything. I am losing a lot of patience as my wife wants to visit her family but I keep being the bearer of bad news to her telling her there are no updates almost daily. Should I contact USCIS about the status? Am I in normal processing times compared to you guys? Anyone file around the same time as me and still waiting? I am desperate for some movement. Any insight would be helpful! Thank you!

We got our green card as did at least 2 others on October AOS group.
A number of us Dec k1 2021 in there and most are waiting.
HOPING YOURS COMES SOON TOO
I hope so! Getting a little antsy. How long after you filed did you receive your GC?
-
Anyone from this group get their GC's yet? We got married 08/29/2023 and submitted AOS on 9/12/2023... got an RFE and resubmitted everything on 10/21/2023 and did fingerprints shortly thereafter. It's been crickets since then. Just wondering if anyone got approved for AOS yet or got their Green Card yet.
-
Hi there! Have any of you December 2021 filers made any progress with receiving their I-485 (Green Card) yet? I assume we all could be in a similar timeline, just curious to see where everyone is at with their AOS process.
-
Has anyone filed for AOS (Green Card) and have heard anything back from them at all? I filed my paperwork on 9/12, FedEx shows it delivered on 9/14 but I have yet to receive anything from the field office. The fee hasnt been deducted from my bank account yet either so I know it hasn't been looked at. Just wondering if someone from this group has filed for AOS already and heard anything back. Thank you!

CEAC currently shows is it as "Application Received" but it was updated today. It says it may take up to 2 days for it to be updated once interview is done.
The CEAC site officially shows the status as "ISSUED" 2 days after our visa interview.

Hi everyone! today we had our visa interview at US embassy and got approved! Visa will now be mailed to my fiance's home within a few days.
It's been a very long, frustrating, and difficult process but we have finally made it here. What a relieving feeling to be complete with this part of the process.
Here is out timeline:
NOA1: 12/21/2021
NOA2: 03/06/2023
at NVC: 04/25/2023
Case in Transit to Embassy: 05/09/2023
Case "Ready" at Embassy: 05/16/2023
Medical Examination: 07/07/2023
Visa Interview: 07/17/2023Total days from NOA1 to Visa Interview Approval = 573 days (or 18 1/2 months)
I will be visiting her in a few weeks (for vacation) and we will be traveling back to the U.S. on August 20th together!

Today we were finally able to schedule our interview appointment with the embassy! Our interview is set for July 17!
Here is my timeline for your reference:
Noa1: 12/21/2021
Noa2: 03/06/2023
At NVC: 04/25/2023
Case in Transit to Embassy: 05/09/2023
Case "Ready" at Embassy: 05/16/2023
Visa Payment made: 05/30/2023 and the portal on the embassy website for us to schedule an interview was opened to us... however
...no appointments were available for visa interview, the calendar was completely booked and I would receive a "No appointments available at this time. Please try again later" message every time I opened the portal to view the calendar. I checked daily and even made a few inquiries to the embassy regarding no availability to schedule appointments. They advised me that I would receive an email when appointments were made available, and today on 06/14/2023 I received that email and immediately scheduled the next available appointment which was 07/17/2023*
Officially about 1 month away from visa interview. It's been a strenuous process full of bumps and hurdles but we are finally there at the last step!

Question, I am in the "Schedule Interview" stage. We finally got the Embassy letter and we made payment so we can schedule interview - however the only date it allows us to select on the embassy site is June 5, 2023, which is wayy too soon and less than 10 days after we got letter. I am hesitant to select this date because we still have to gather a few more documents + do the medical exam so I do not think we can get this done in time if we were to schedule June 5th. But i am also worried that if we pass this date then will this cause an issue? It almost seems like a glitch or error because the only date in the next 6 months in the calendar is June 5. I am thinking about contacting the embassy about this but just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them

I think your progress can consider as fast, at least you heard something from NVC. I have the same day as you received the NOA2 on March 6, but I inquired NVC at least 5 times, and they said they still didn't receive my petition, it already more than 60 days. Hope to hear some good news next week
I hope you hear some good news too. I just check my case status this morning and it officially says "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center." However i have not yet received the interview date from NVC as stated? I hope they didnt lose the letter in the mail. I need to contact them about this.

Congrats on passing another stage!
also thanks for sharing. This is useful as not far from 50 days and all my inquiries have been negative receipt. I see in other forums though people saying 60 days so hoping to hear in the next 2 weeks. Either way we will all eventually get past the NVC stage 🙏🏽🤞🏽I reached out them via email twice. First time they said they hadnt received anything (that was about 40 days after my NOA2), then the second time i reached out they said they recieved it and gave me my case number, invoice id, and beneficiary id. I still havent received a letter or anything from them but they did give me the case number. I looked it up on CEAC tracking and it shows currently "at NVC"

Follow the guidelines from NVC website as below. Am still waiting on mine. Good luck.
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
After creating your case, we will send you instructions for processing, as well as a Welcome Letter that includes your Case Number and Invoice ID. You will use these numbers to log into our Consular Electronic Application Center
After my 2nd inquiry to NVC we got our case number and invoice ID. Our case is still at NVC though

submit and inquiry every week, they should find it and email you case# & invoice ID. look like time frame between NOA2 to NVC increased a lot in past couple weeks.
I sent them an inquiry yesterday and they responded today. They basically gave me a petition number, Invoice ID number and beneficiary ID number. I don't know what to do with this information. They also stated that "You will be notified once this case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General"

I have not yet heard from NVC. NOA 2 3/21/2023. Let me know if u hear back please. I will update incase I do hear back.
I will keep this post updated when I get the case number from NVC. It's unfortunate because I was hoping by 40 days i'd receive it but still nothing.

NOA1: 12/20/2021
NOA2: 03/06/2023Today is 04/19/2023 and we still have not received our NVC case number. I made one inquiry with NVC on 04/14 and they responded 3 days later informing me that they still have not received our petition. I am hoping it delivered but just hasn't been entered in the system yet. I will continue to make inquiries every week for good measure.
Any December 2021 filers receive NVC case numbers yet?
